On July 22nd, 2024; a representative from this company stopped at my 75 year old mothers home attempting to reach me. At no time have I lived at this address nor referenced this as my contact information. They questioned my mother on my location, when the car they were trying to help me with would be at the property, etc. When questioned, they said we get our information from the dealerships that let us know youre coming close to the end of the lease and all we do is show you your purchase options without all the fees. At no time does this explain how they got my mothers home address, why they would show up in person and question her in the method done. This is a complete overstep on privacy and ethical business practices.Business response

I received and unwanted visit from a Lease End employee in a no soliciting private gated community. They asked if I had received Lease End marketing material about my leased vehicle. It is wildly inappropriate and invasion of privacy to send employees to private homes to elicit unsolicited business simply because of a leased vehicle. It is even more so inappropriate in a gated community with clear labels on the gates stating "no soliciting". I have also have a no soliciting sign on our door.Business response

I am receiving multiple letters regarding my deceased fathers lease from LeaseEnd. My address is not now and never has been linked to his lease that was settled with his estate. Further more, I moved to this address long after his passing. LeaseEnd can not tell me why I am receiving these aside from they do not have a great marketing team and apparently, this is a reoccurring issue. They claim my fathers name with my address was pulled from creditors which after further research was proven to be incorrect. I would like my address removed from their system. This is inconsiderate for those deceased and the family members that have survived him. I would be much more understanding of this if my address was in fact tied to my father in any way but it is not.Business response

I was misled with Lease End as they had all the information regarding my company's lease with ****** The lease is in my business name, not mine. I did not give permission for them to perform 4 Hard Pulls on my credit which lowered my score 62 points yesterday. Lease End then called to ask if I had a co-signer that I could use. My credit score was 744 - this company is in violation of CT statute Sec. ******b. Unfair trade practices prohibited. Legislative intent. (a) No person shall engage in unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce.Business response

**************,
Thank you for contacting us. As we continue to grow and refine our services, feedback and an open dialogue with our clients are extremely valuable.
Before you authorized Lease End to submit your application for credit, you provided consent during your online application process. This agreement authorizes Lease End, our agents, and/or third party lenders to obtain your consumer credit report from one or more credit reporting agencies.
The application cannot be submitted without that statement of consent. We note that inquiries of the same kind (in this case, auto loans) at multiple institutions within a given period of time are generally not counted as separate inquiries or hard pulls.
Thank you again for reaching out about your experience and giving us a chance to address your concerns. We wish you the best.
Sincerely,

Lease end has been attempting to contact me, unsolicited, via email. When I ignored them, because I do not answer unsolicited business emails, they came to my door and attempted to contact outside my place of residence.Again, I never reached out to them, and did not consent to them receiving my personal information.Business response

On March 5, 2024, an individual pounded on my front door and rang the doorbell. I answered through my security camera and asked who the man was and why he was at my home. He identified himself as an employee of Lease End Company and said he was "sent out by [his] company" to talk to me about my vehicle lease ending soon. I have never had any contact with this company and shortly after the individual left, confirmed with the auto dealer that I leased the vehicle from that they did not provide this information to Lease End. It's offensively aggressive and presumptive that this company would send employees to people's homes unsolicited, attempting to talk to them about their vehicles, particularly in this age when virtually all business is done digitally. It's also shocking that this company thinks a consumer will be comfortable or welcoming to a complete stranger at their front door rattling off personal information about them that the consumer has no idea how they obtained. I told the employee to remove me from whatever list led to him coming to my home and to never come to my property again, which he indicated he would do. I'm filing this complaint so others are aware of the unsolicited, unprofessional and highly aggressive practices of this company and to ensure this company doesn't ever contact me again.Business response

I engaged an agreement with Lease End to buy my Lease out. The communication with the company was good until the process began on 1/2/2024. I never got an information regarding my Loan which I was approved. I called and spoke ********************* who said to me to call the bank myself and gave me a 800 number. I was finally notified. That my car was transfered over on 2/20/24. Keep In mind I never got a temporary license plate. I was told I did not need one since my correct registration was valid. Well the title was transferred over on 2/14/24. I was then told my reg was invalid. And I had to communicate with them to ask This question Which means I was driving an unregistered vehicle from 2/14/24 until I got my temp which was on 2/22/24. I was driving an unregistered vehicle for 8 days. When I called and complained I got a 50 gift card. That is an insult. I feel Leaseend was in violation of the agreement and I would like my inception fees of 699 refunded to me.Business response

I received a letter stating that they were trying to contact me about my car lease maturity, and saying I was pre-qualified for a car loan for $89,000. I have never leased a vehicle, and my credit is so poor that a pre-qualification for that much is laughable. It seriously made me concerned that someone had stolen my identity, and had leased a car in my name. When I did a little investigation into the company I discovered that they are apparently scam artists who try and scare people into using their services, or they may lose some benefit. They may be a legitimate company, offering an actual service, but their practices are extremely questionable, and should seriously be censured at the very least, and everyone should be made aware of their vulturistic, scaremongering practice.Business response

Received 2 separate mailings from lease end regarding maturity date on a Jeep Grand Cherokee lease both claim this is our last attempt to contact you. Called them this morning and refused to give any personal information - used phone number on website to call to verify the ************** number in the mailings. Asked how they get addresses and lease information and claim it comes from Transunion and its marketing that I need to talk to asked to speak with someone in marketing and was transferred. Marketing representative claimed that Transunion sends out all of their mailers. Have contacted Transunion and was told they do not do any marketing mailings for any business they are only a credit reporting bureau. Have placed a fraud alert on my Credit Report. Strongly urge that the BBB remove them as they are obviously continuing with same practices and lies that I have seen in a similar complaint already listed on 8/22/2023 on your website.Business response
