I recently purchased my car through them. They told me that I could call with any issues and that there would be no payment for February due to buying my car. The payment for Feb was taken out and when I tried to contact them for help no number works, no text and email works either. Then I have not received info to set up my new auto debit. NO help at all beyond supposedly helping me buy my car. Wouldn't use them again.

I am reopening a previous complaint which was publicized on BBB and posted as a complaint on September 14, 2022. The gist of this issue is this: I availed of Lease End's services in May 2022 to buy-out a leased *** X1. Lease End assisted in me in connecting with **************** which financed the buy-out in June 2022. I paid the first month's payment for that financing starting in July 2022 which continues monthly to this day. I did this because I wanted to buy the car and sell it to a dealer. There have been problems with Lease End's services which are products of incompetence (at best) and intentional fraud (at worst). As I write this, 7 months has passed since May 2022. I have not received my title from the ******** DMV. What I have received is a litany of excuses about the title transfer from the leasing company (***) to Lease End. Indeed, the wait has been so long that my registration--the registration that came along with my previously-leased car--has expired this month. And the title is still nowhere in sight. Lease End offered to provide me temporary tags in November 2022. I told them to send it to my new address in *****, or, if they send it to my prior address, they should send it through **** in order for the mail to be forwarded. They did neither--they sent the temporary tags in December 2022 through *** which went to my previous residence and was subsequently lost. Owing to this, last December 19, 2022, Lease End (or more precisely their employee *********************** who has been so instrumental in delaying this whole process by leading me on with excuse after excuse or outright silence whenever asked about the titling process) told me that they would resend temporary tags to my new address which I should receive in a day or two. A week and a half later, I have yet to receive anything.Lease End is either an awesomely incompetent company or a scam operating online. I have attached the most material conversations I've had with them, if not the entirety.

      **********************,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your ongoing concern with the delay in receiving the title to your car and temporary registration tags.

We understand that one of our team members contacted you on December 28, 2022, to follow up on this issue and offer assistance. We understand that, at that time, you communicated that youve sold your vehicle to a *** dealership and that theyve agreed to pay off your loan. In response, that team member assured you that you would be refunded for the registration and services fees that you had previously paid us and that we would provide a tracking number for that check to you. Your cars title will be sent to that *** dealership.

We regret that your experience working with us was so frustrating, and we thank you for your honest feedback and communication.

We wish you the best moving forward and a Happy New Year.

      Sincerely,

      The Lease End Team

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. The business has utterly failed to provide the requested service and I luckily have a *** dealership that was willing to buy the car without the title. Though my issue has been resolve, every single customer should beware: I NEVER RECEIVED MY TITLE FOR 8 MONTHS AND THIS COMPANY WAS MORE THAN INCOMPETENT IN TERMS OF ITS SERVICES AND COMMUNICATIONS. Do not, I repeat, do not even think Lease End will help you with your payoff. Heed this warning and the other complaints that have been posted here at BBB.

      Sincerely,

i started this lease buyout process under the idea that this would be efficient. this process began at the end of july, the 24th to be specific. and i am still, 4 months later, waiting for any information at all about where i am at in this process. i was sold the idea that lease end takes care of all the registering and titling paperwork and/or fees but the only thing lease end has successfully done is set up my payments and billed me. since the beginning of september i have been making monthly payments and warranty payments and i still cannot drive this car. i receive letters from the oregon department of transportation and the bank(TD auto) that currently has my lien but i get NOTHING from lease end until i contact them. i have been passed around to roughly six different people and i seem to land back with ***********************. after receiving a letter from ODOT about missing requirements and the possibility of them denying my registration process due to delinquent requirements, i was issued a 30 day temporary idaho registration. i am paying to insure two cars right now and this temporary registration is going to expire and i STILL have nothing from lease end or the oregon DMV. i cannot sell the one car when the other has no registration, no plates and no tags and cant be legally driven. i know i get nothing out of this except the regret of starting this whole process but i find it absolutely unbelievable that a company can drag you around and leave you in the dark like this. absolutely feels like a scam.

In June 2021, I financed my 2019 ****** forester with Lease end when my lease was coming to an end. Never realized it but never received a title for the car. In Aug 2022 we moved to NC from ** and need the title so I can register the vehicle in NC. Called Lease End and they said it was submitted and never heard anything back and was unable to reach anyone. After making multiple calls I was told it would be about a month. It has been 2 months since and after running a title search I still have no title and nothing has been submitted with the **** It has been over a year and I still don't have a title and can't register my car in the state I live with. It is not my fault they didn't follow through with their title request. I JUST WANT MY TITLE! This is unacceptable and unfair to the consumer.

I was charged as part of my lease buy out, $709.35 and was contractually (Item 8 of Lease End Contract) that registration and fees of titlework are included in cost of transaction. On or around June 1, 2022, I was send a temporary tag. I was notified on 6/23/2022 that they had stated the process of doing my title work by *******. On July 6, 2022 still nothing regarding my registration. I contacted ******* who stated it was the state of Indiana and send another temporary tag. They then sent me additional forms to sign for the *** on 6/7. July 21, 2022 I followed up with ******* who stated they were still working with the state to process and send a new temporary tag. On september 2, 2022 I still had no registration information and I was told by ******* everything was processed by the *** and I would have my new tags soon. On September 27, 2022 I received nothing regarding registration and reached out to ******...no response. I reached out again on 9/30 and no response stating nothing from *** and 3rd temporary tag was expiring.. I e-mailed my representative on 9/30 and no response. I called on 9/30 and could not get anyone to help. I called the *** and they stated nothing had been done but an amendment and nothing had been paid by Lease End. I have waited 5 months for the registration I paid for to be completed. I finalized and paid for the registration myself on 9/30/22. I will need to be refunded the $709.35 for services not rendered per the contract.

I transacted with Lease End last May 2022 to buy out my *** X1 lease from *** Financial. Lease End connected me with **************** who offered to buy out the lease and finance it. I accepted, and in June 2022, *** Financial sent Lease End the title of the vehicle. I received confirmation from Lease End that they received the title on June 29, 2022. I started paying **************** the monthly auto loan payment pursuant to the financing agreement in July 2022.I have not received any update on the titling process for my vehicle since then. I have reached out in August and September, more than 8 weeks since Lease End received my title, and I have not heard a word about whether they have started the titling process in the ***************** where I originally paid out the *** X1 lease. I have absolutely gotten nothing from this company. Zero.******** requires that the individual buying the carregardless of whether the vehicle is bought outright or financedholds the title. This complicated things for me because I want to sell the vehicle. And I recently moved states as well. I am literally stuck in limbo with a car that I dont even know if its properly registered. All because of Lease Ends silence and failure to even keep me updated on what is going on in their end.I want Lease End to settle this issue ASAP. Provide me with an update on what is happening. And provide me with the title of the car. I will register it myself for all I care, despite paying them hundreds of dollars in titling fees and service fees. This has been a frustrating process. I hope BBB assists me in this. I have the comprehensive email thread between me and Lease End. And I can send it to BBB if needed to settle this claim.

Lease End made an offer on my car. After I signed all the paperwork closing the deal, I was contacted by a lease end agent withdrawing the offer and canceling the agreement ( I had already received my check ), claiming Lease-End made a mistake when my car information was imputed, the new proposal was lower than I could get from Carmax, so I declined. I didn't raise any issues even knowing I could've since it wasn't my fault. To my surprise, when I went to sell the car to Carmax, I was informed my car title was under Lease-End, and I couldn't sell it; now *************** is asking me for the Title, which you guys have, and trying to collect the Pay off amount from me. We need to fix this problem ASAP before I escalate it to a lawyer.
