on the 25th of march i deposited a check for ******* i got a notification that the check cleared and proceeded with my business as usual. several days later i was notified that the check was returned. When i took the copy of the check to the issuing bank they took one look at it and identified it as a fraudulent check without even checking their system. it was obvious they said and that only could have passed an inexperienced person at the credit union. The credit union should have done some due diligence before clearing the check and authorizing any funds. if they don't what is the purpose of using the credit union and what besides capturing fees are they doing. If i write a check at the grocery store the store immediately verifies the funds and clear the check before proceeding. Should i not have the same expectation of the credit union as that is their only business?

      Complaint: 16992767

I am rejecting this response because: I recently filed a complaint against this same organization regarding their careless and negligent behavior that led to loss. ICCU cleared and approved a fraudulent check and have since denied any responsibility. the previous complaint number is 16992767.This prior complaint was closed unilaterally by Idaho Central Credit Union and their agent without contacting me prior to taking action. I am a contract pilot engaged in agricultural and forestry/pubic lands operations and i am not always available to respond. so instead of waiting until i could they rushed to close the matter and save face. Once I was available to respond, it was too late, the matter with the BBB had been closed and ICCU denied any responsibility and declined any accountability for their unprofessional and inappropriate actions in clearing a fraudulent check which resulted in a personal loss for me. Let this serve as a warning that your money and transactions are not safe with Idaho Central Credit Union they offer no guarantee of service and leave you their customer unprotected in even the most basic of transactions, As a result i will be closing all accounts and will no longer conduct any business through Idaho Central Credit Union.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

I had a terrible experience with two employees working in the **** fraud department. I was involved in an incident regarding a fraudulent check. I am the victim in this case, as $7,000 was stolen out of my account. The two employees in question, ***** and ***** conducted communication with me in the most rude, unprofessional manner, disregarding and invalidating my perspective in regards to the narrative of the incident. The They both regarded me as the perpetrator of the alleged check, despite the fact that I am in fact still a customer of the *********************************************. Upon speaking with the Police, it was understood that I was in fact the victim in this particular case, not guilty of any crime. There is a need for this unacceptable behaviour to be acknowledged, and corrected as this could happen to another customer in the future. I am from *********, **, I am assuming there is a regional or local fraud department, more specifically the branch is on South ********** Branch, located on E ****** St.

I had ICCU do a refinance for me and due to their incompetence the loan was denied by the VA, basically ICCU is pocketing and added $4000 that was supposed to be the funding fee to my loan balance even tho I do not have a VA loan, it appears its a scheme that ICCu uses to defraud veterans out of money, its a pathetic example of a financial institution preying on veterans that served there country, ICCU says they are doing me a favor lol, I think ICCU is doing themselves a favor collecting interest on $4000 additional money for 30 years, they are crooks.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have recently received documentation from the VA that shows the loan was converted to a conventional loan without my knowledge, the VA suggested I contact the *************************** I have opened a complaint with the *************************** I am currently waiting for a response, it appears the VA did approve my loan as a VA loan and ICCU somehow converted it to a conventional loan without my knowledge. Ive checked into statements I received and ICCU paid off the VA loan but never notified me, Im also waiting to find out what benefits I lose with having the loan change from a VA to conventional? Ive basically been mislead by ICCU and Im starting to piece things together thanks to my correspondence with the VA.
      Sincerely,

***************** loan was not paid off nor refinanced into a conventional loan.  It was sent back to us from an investor.  No changes were made to the original terms of the loan.  We contacted the VA today and confirmed that his loan guarantee, for which he paid the fee in question, is still intact.  We have been in communication with ************** today and consider this matter resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:I am currently awaiting a response from the VA to confirm this is true, Ive been told so many things by the Credit Union I prefer to wait and hear from the VA or the ************************** before I pass final judgement whether this is resolved. In all fairness to me and how long this has gone on I think I deserve the time to hear it from an official source, Im sure ICCU would agree with me.

I have an account with my ex wife and my current wife attempting to pay this account multiple times and was being told the account was paid in full. So the account was not getting paid. The account was reporting on our credit as past due at that time we asked for a supervisor and found out the account was in fact past due at which time the account was then paid in full and we were told the supervisor would pull the phone calls to see that we had attempted to pay this account multiple times and were being told the account was paid and then they would contact the credit Bearu and we would receive a call after the phone calls were pulled nobody has contacted our credit bearus or us to fix the reporting on our credit and nobody is returning our calls.

On or around the date of Tuesday September 28th, 2021 I had changed the date of my **** Pay with the bank Idaho Central Credit Union from the 9th to the 15th, as I was aware that the funds for the $865 would not be in the account at that time. However, they still took the money out of the account anyway. When I called the office I spoke with no less than 4 people who all told me that the dates for **** Pay cannot be changed online. That they need to be deleted and created again in order to change a date. So I was VERY surprised when I check my account on 10/15/2021 to find myself overdrawn because they took that $865 out AGAIN, even though I was told by 4 different people that the dates of the **** Pay cannot be changed. I am now overdrawn more than $900 due to their mistake that they refuse to correct.

My checking account which overdrafted because of two unauthorized transactions was sent to collection. I had left a few dollars in my checking account and shut off all payments from it as I was not going to be using that account for a while. After months of no activity on the account, two unauthorized transactions worth $8.99 and $50 show up on the statement in November 2019 which overdrafts my account. I don't know how they let this occur when I clearly had my overdraft protection turned on. To make matters worse, I was not made aware that my account was negative until 2021, which put me out of the time window to dispute those unauthorized charges. The account was then sent to collections for $218. They then reported the account to my credit report which destroyed the credit that I spent years building. All of this could have been avoided if they actually practiced the fraud protection practices they always keep advertising. I feel like I was wronged by the bank that I once trusted.

We have looked into this situation as ***** explained. We spoke with him on the phone in regards to this. Back when the accounts were overdrawn we mailed letters, sent emails, and called on the phone to avoid any further issues, but received no response from *****. We ask that he call us to get specific details if needed as we won't post those through this platform.

On May 11, 2021 my bank account was hacked and $408.56 was stolen from my account. My bank account was frozen for 10 days and I regained access to it on May 21, 2021. That same day, I filed a claim to dispute the charges in which they only provided provisional credit of $247. I was informed that it would only take 7-10 business days to settle this dispute. After 10 days, I believe the dispute had been settled. On July 1, 2021 I recieved an email stating that the funds would be reversed on July 6, 2021. Frustrated and burnt out, I asked if the funds could be reversed after I got payed, on July 12, 2021. The bank agreed to this but proceeded to take put the funds on July 9, 2021. This bank has been unprofessional and dishonest. I would like my money back.
