      I am a fishing guide up in ******* *******. I originally bought a Hyde drift boat in 2013 under the impression that the hull of the boat was guaranteed for life. In 2020 the boat began to sink. Understandable, it had a lot of use. I called ****, they didnt have space at the time with the pandemic to fix the boat. They told me they put me on a list to call when space opened up. At this time i bought a used boat to continue working. I continued to call ****, and they continued to have no space assuring me I was on the list. This process went on for 2.5 years before they could get me in for warranty work, which I waited patiently for. Finally, I called in April of 2023 and they could get me in, I was so excited. I drug it down to ***********, and they said it would most likely be 6-8 weeks. It took 4 months. Come august I called, they had totally forgotten about the boat, they seemed to scramble and told me it would be ready in a week. A week later I went and got it back. It had some fresh paint and looked nice. 3 days later however it was leaking again. I called down respectfully hoping someone might offer me some options. I had and still have a full 2 months of work ahead. I needed a boat now. They told me I could bring it back down and have it fixed again. I dont have time. Its a long drive a long repair and if Im not on the water now, I dont make money. At this point I asked for my money back, hoping I may be able to invest that into a new boat to get me through the season. That was denied and the owner **** explained that, giving the money back doesnt help their business. *** never felt more disrespected in a conversation in my life. Im not sure what to do at this point, I could really use the money to try and keep my business going. This was definitely a case of rushed, sub par work that they still charged the whole sum to have done. Ive lost clients do to a sinking boat. I really just need the money back for a down payment on a new one.
