On October 12, 2024 that's what paperwork shows but checkes show the 17th. We bought a 2016 ***** Silverado 2500 for $38900.00 not including taxes and fees.($41570.94) from Below Book Auto Sales. At the same time we bought a premier warranty from ***************************************** for $2927.00. We received a recall letter stating there was an issue with the airbags, so when we took it to ***** ********* they did an inspection on the truck and found some issues with it. It needed an idlerarm and ****** arm. We called the warranty company and they told us that it is covered by the warranty, but they recommended not using the dealership because they would use parts that they wouldn't cover completely and we would have to probably pay more out of pocket then just the $100.00 deductible, so we took it to a different mechanic shop and they confirmed the issue. They (***************************) started the warranty claim with the warranty company. The warranty company wanted a copy of predelivery inspection form, which had not been submitted by Below Book. The warranty company, ********************** and us all have been trying to contact the dealer. They will not return the other businesses phone calls. We finally got them to respond to us. We found out that he did not do the inspection, so he said he would fix the issue himself. That was about 2 weeks ago, now he is ignoring us as well. As far as I know the warranty company is still trying to reach out to Below Book, but with no luck. They do not want to pay for work that needs to be done until this is resolved. We also bought a 2014 ********** at the same time plus a warranty with it as well. We have asked Below Book if they submitted all the paperwork to the warranty company, but they said they would keep back to us to let us know, that was 2 weeks ago and we still have not heard anything.Customer Answer

They have had several vehicles listed on thier website for $1 amongst other various prices. No where on there for it say the price on the website is cash price and if you finance the original price of the vehicle goes up. They are racking it on before financing. They are also not disclosing fees that are added on to. They are giving people to lenders that are not in thier credit score category to higher interest lenders and giving them the highest interest possible. From the paperwork it looks like they are doing title loans out on these vehicles making a car that was 4900 almost ***** after its paid off over $2000 in interest each year! They are over charging them which in return is accruing more interest annually. Women are being discriminated against as well as the disabled they are taking advantage of them. They are selling cars that break down within a couple weeks and some have even broken down within less than 24 hours. Making the buyer pay for repairs then later repossessing the car because they cant afford the payment after said repairs. Then repeats the process with said vehicle. They are ripping people off making them repair the cars and then taking them back and reselling them for even more profit making the consumer pay for repairs and ruining thier credit, making twice as much as the car is worth 2x and then taking it away.Business Response

I purchased a 2018 ***** Colorado from Below Book Auto Sales in ***********, ** in November, 2024. I traded in a 2020 Chrysler 300 sedan. As of today, February 19th, the loan for the ******** has not been paid off, as per our agreement. My credit rating has gone from 718 to 635. Although they are paying the monthly payment, the credit bureaus are saying that I have more money outgoing than I have coming in. I just want them to pay this off and make my life a little easier. Is there anything I can do to make sure this gets taken care of?Business Response

So they are saying that my credit score for experiencing is different from what experience is saying they're taking the lowest number of the three credit bureaus and putting it as Experian numberBusiness Response
Date: 02/13/2025
Hello,
If there's a difference on your score from when you check your score on Experian compared to when we pulled your score at one of our stores. The main reason for that would be due to the fact that since we have to analyze your credit report for eligibility for qualification for an auto loan. They do pull what's your called you FICO report, sometimes what you see your score on the Experian app is different cause what you see there is the "Vantage score". It's a lot more lenient than your FICO score and will give you a higher score than your actual FICO since it's a lot stricter on scoring you since it's used to underwrite loans and is what is used by the financial institutions which do loans on autos. Sorry again you felt that we intentionally lowered your score, but we only pass on information we see on the computer screen, if you come back by we can print off your credit report so you can look further into your credit.

I bought a vehicle from this company in may and within fifteen days the engine broke down. This company has a reputation for selling faulty gas trucks but i didn't know that until after i had removed the engine from the vehicle. The head gasket bolts in the engine block had stripped the threading and it was obvious that the company had put lock tight in, instead of having the block and heads decked. They lied during the buying process about the engine size and sold me a 2012 ***** 1500 with a 5.3L v8 but after purchase it was apparent that the engine was originally out of a ***** suburban. I contacted the company when this originally happened and said i wanted a refund and the owner did nothing. I have worked on the truck for seven months roughly ***** hours worth of work time -new engine 2,800$-new radiator 300$-new fuse box 106$-coolant 100$-belts 100$-mounting bolts 200$-AC compressor 100$-solder gun and wire 70$While i was working on the vehicle it was towed twice because i had nowhere to legally work on it -tow one was free -tow two was 350$I asked the company for a trade across for a 2005 ***** Durimax that that sells for the truck i am currently paying off, they told me i was crazy to ask that. I bought the truck for 11,200$ i traded a paid off ***** civic worth ***** and have paid 266$ a month paying a total of 350$ on the trucks worth. I want the company to pay off the truck and then i want them to pay off the shop fees it cost to have it fixed because i wont allow them to work on it, and i want the *****$ from my ***** civic that i traded that rightfully belonged to me.After asking him to fix the issues he lied to me and began making threats that if i got ahold of the ***** he would have lawyers come after me.Business Response

The client first reached out to me for the first time last week. He called me on my direct line and told me that hes had many people buy cars and trucks from us and were very happy but he believes hes had bad luck and would like to give us another try. Right away I was super willing to help in anyway. He then started stating how 8 months after purchasing the truck it started to begin having some issues. He explained how he put countless amounts of hours into to get it to run and how the shop where his truck was at was not being very helpful and had charged him $300 for diagnosing the issue. ***** then went to tell me that he brought over a friend last time to the shop his truck was getting fixed and that he knows who stole parts of one of our custom trucks which had been stolen/missing recently which happened to be also getting fixed at the same shop affordable car care. We believe ***** and his friend stole our parts and then ***** framed his friend with the police to have him arrested which happened just days after ***** had first contacted us. ***** came over and insisted we call the police to get his friend caught with our parts. We were very skeptical and the whole situation was very strange to say the least but wanted our tailgate and led taillights back which had been taken off our gmc truck. ***** explained at this point that he had nothing to with the stolen parts and just helped us get our parts back cause he wants his truck fixed, he blackmailed us and threatened us with a bbb complaint if we didnt do anything about fixing his truck. Well help anyone usually when it comes to mechanical work were known for our after sale service. In Calebs case his whole wiring harness is torn apart along with no fuse box the wiring harness is in pieces with the harness connector removed he has stated earlier that he was trying to solder up the wiring harness himself. We have never physically seen the truck but we believe ***** has put his amateur hands into the truck and completely ruined the wiring harness on the truck. Now he wants us to fix it all for him otherwise h*** get parts stolen off our cars. He has blackmailed me numerous times since last week when he first reached out to me. After we received our stolen parts from the police we really didnt want anything to do with him or anyone else he knew cause we didnt want anything else being stolen. I went ahead and let him know that I wont be able to help because his truck was purchased as is and he had signed the buyers guide and purchased no service contract to get any help with repairs.

I am rejecting this response because:My friend did steal from this company and i told him not to. I did not sign a buyers guid to my recollection and if there is an issue with the truck as bad as the entire engine blowing up the business needs to fix it i have multiple friends and family members who have had the same experience with this company and until they agree to have the vehicle fixed and for free i am not going to settle. In addition the company's owner isn't contacting me to help me he's is simply insulting me and threatening me for telling him that i am in contact with the ***** and i have shown that he was operating in bad faith because of the state of the engine and poor shady repairs done to it. He is calling me delusional and asking me to continue to spend more money so he can **** whatever money i have left after spending thousands of dollars and well over ****** hours of time. As well as loss of wages and debt. He needs to fix it and refund the money i have spent on it.
Sincerely,

I went to *** seeking to sell my motorcycle and purchase a used car from below book auto sales. Because of the value of my motorcycle Sar suggested that I let him put my motorcycle on display and when it sold he would give me the money minus any car that I got from him. Me and Sar agreed on a ***** civic so Sar gave me ******* dollars and the ***** civic totaling ******* dollars. I returned the ***** civic because it was an extremely dangerous car for instance I hit a little pot hole in the road and nearly ran off the road. I told Sar about the problem and so we took it on a drive together and he agreed the car needed to be fixed and so he gave me a Mercedes glk 350, value of vehicle ******* I took the car home and the next day I called Sar and told him that the Mercedes is throwing all kinds of codes which I documented and Sar lost it telling me that I needed to stop trying to trade one vehicle for the next and that the Mercedes didnt have a problem when I picked it up and I told him that was not true and when I said that Sar called me a mother f***** and that I was poor white trash so I hung up on him. The car sat at my mother in laws house for 6 weeks before he sent a tow truck over to pick it up and now they have the vehicle back on the lot for sale and I dont have a vehicle or my motorcycle now. Basically its like he got my motorcycle for *******Business Response

***** traded his dads motorcycle for a 2007 ***** civic and $1000 cash back from below book. After having the car for a few days ***** decided he wasnt a big fan of the car. We suggested to address the concerns he was having, he requested to change the vehicle and get him into something else. So we asked him to come back in and we would take his fully paid up 2007 ***** civic back from him and get him into something else. He went through all the cars in the inventory and ended up liking a 2011 Mercedes Gl350. We did all the paperwork and took the civic back in on trade, there was a little balance owed on the ******** since it was selling for more than the civic was. We gave him a good affordable payment plan which work with his budget. He never made one single payment on the ********. He was 4 months behind when repossession was initiated but since it was first time being behind we gave him another chance and gave him another 2 months to get caught up. He never once made a payment on the ******** and it ended up getting repossessed from him by h&m recovery services.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I have copies of all paperwork that was involved and I have documentation from mechanic in regards to the ************* GLK 350 that also had several mechanical issues and ended up sitting in front of my house for two months. The ******** was never registered due to it being broke down and costing me a lot of money. I contacted Sar and he was very unprofessional about the situation and refused to fix the paperwork on the ********. The price tag on the Mercedes was ******* dollars and after they rewrote the paperwork from the ***** civic to the Merced the final price ended up being more than the sticker price on the ******** so the paperwork never got completed and me and the salesman decided once he talked to Sar we would fix the paperwork to show the right price. That never happened and things just went from bad to worse when trying to communicate with below book. This has become very unprofessional by people who are suppose to represent their community and the small businesses around ***********. I believe below book should make this right and return my bike like I suggested 1 week after receiving the Mercedes or give me a vehicle at the price we agreed on. That to me would be the right thing to do since the vehicle that I got never ran right and I personally put over ******* dollars in the ******** to have the alternator and battery replaced plus having it towed from ************** **** back to *********** ***** when it broke down on me. Also the statement about me not liking the ***** civic is not true the problem was once we were done signing paperwork on the ***** Sar then told me it had a salvaged title and so I decided that wouldnt work because it would hold no value. Again Im willing to except a vehicle for equal trade of the bike straight across with no other strings attached if below book is willing to give me a fair vehicle. Thank you!
Sincerely,

I bought a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox from Below Book Auto sales in November 2022, the salesman stated that it was in amazing condition, clean title with no significant issues or history of being wrecked. We purchased the vehicle. Immediately on the drive home to ************* I quickly noticed that the ******* only worked for about 10 minutes, the airbag light had turned on and the majority of the buttons for the air directory had stopped working. Because of this I attempted to contact the dealership multiple times to no success. I avoided driving it unless necessary. I had paid for transmission repairs as well as multiple parts attempting to fix the heating issue to no success. A year after purchase, Ifound out I was expecting my first *** so i decided to trade in the equinox for a vehicle with a working heater. While at a different delaership we found out that CarFax pulls it up as a salvaged title and it was reported as a total loss in 2015. I filed a complaint with the **************************** and they said its a clean title, but my insurance **** says it pulls up as salvaged. So i looked up the vin and the vin on the title does not pull up the correct trim of 2012 equinox, its a completely different car. I got ahold of below book after and their solution was that they only would consider taking the equinox back if i purchased another vehicle. So not only did they not disclose that the airbag light was on, it had been totaled previously, and there was a vin descrepency, but their solution to it was either for me commit insurance fraud, or to buy a new vehicle from them. I also have witnesses for every encounter and have all of the paperwork from this.Customer Answer

I paid almost $10,000 for a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. I did buy as is, because I got the loan from the **** of ********* 15 days after I had purchased the vehicle it started having major issues. I took it to their mechanic, and he claims he fixed what he thinks is wrong with it. After a couple weeks it started doing the same thing which was, stalling out at stoplights, completely dying if my foot was on the break for too long. It doesnt lose battery power either. It just stalls and I have to turn it back on. When I put my foot on the gas, it shifts hard, and when Im breaking, it shifts hard. It sometimes wont even start after sitting there all night.Business Response

On January 10 **** I purchased a truck from below books auto. I did a trade in on my old car. They gave me an appraisal took pictures and got in my car and I took the offer. Now below books is saying that they didnt see things are trying to change the price after everything has been signed. I got a check through the Mountain ******************** and thats how I payed for the truck. They are also now trying to say I owed a down payment. But the whole time I told them I didnt want to do one if I didnt have to they said that that was fine and they will see if I get approved then the next day the said I got approved and never mentioned that I had to put a down payment down. I went to the bank and the guy that did my loan never once mentioned that I had to put a down payment so I gave below books the check signed all my paperwork and then on Friday January 19 **** they called and said they forgot to get my down payment from me and I mentioned how they never told me about and they guy said it as his bad and he shouldve done that but they still needed the money. I would never had signed the paper work if I knew that I had to do the down payment because I didnt and still do not have $1000 for a down payment. They are threatening to take my truck for 2 mistakes on their side by not informing me about a down payment and not properly checking and taking photos of my old vehicle. They did not mention any of these things I have stated above until 2 days after I had signed the paperwork with my bank and with them.Business Response

On April 25, 2022, I purchased a 2013 Dodge Dart from Below Book for $5100.94 . My sales *****************, stated there was a rattle when it was driven but it was completely safe to drive and he would have it looked at on May 5th by *********** and get the repairs taken care of. After the inspection by ***********, ***** no longer contacted them and proceeded to get parts to order parts to repair the Dart. The repairs needed for the Dart were enough, I was unable to safely drive my car and ended up taking it up to the shop to wait for parts to be delivered and repairs to be done. The parts were a couple months out so I was given a loaner car to drive in the mean time. Before repairs could be done, ***** went to jail. At this point, *** informed me he didn't know he had my car and would look into it and get back to me the next day. After a week of being put off, I went into the shop to get a plan set out. He had left town and he was not easy to get a hold of. I was told I could have the parts that were ordered and I would be responsible for the cost of labor. After I told them no, I wanted what I was told, they offered $500 towards labor. The invoice from Art ******* had parts and labor at $4877.95. I have asked for my money back a few different times to that I was informed they are not ******* and what kind of business man would he be if he gave me my money back. I want the car fixed like I was told, or my money back. The Dart has not been drivable for the majority of the time I have owned it. I do not and did not expect it to be perfect, I just expect it to be drivable. Unfortunately, my nature to be patient and understanding of circumstances was not the right move so here we are.Business Response

The 2013 Dart was sold to the customer ***************************** book **** value. Said car was sold for $4900 when book blue shows a value of over $7000. The customer understood at the time of signing that the vehicle was being sold as is. Several warranty options were offered to her, but the customer opted on no warranty for vehicle. We have made several attempts to help the customer but said attempts couldnt be made because of rude derogatory comments made by the customer, specifically aiming towards *******'s race.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The value of the Dart does not value at $7000 if it it is need of $5000 of repairs. In excellent condition from a private seller it values at $7060. This car was in poor condition at best, KBB gave it is $5500 at the highest and needed several mechanical repairs as stated per the invoice included. I did inform them that I did not receive an option for a warranty. I was informed that ***** was a paint guy not a sales guy so needs more training so the mistake wouldn't happen again. ***** had my car and was going to fix it. I have text that say so and have submitted those messages. They had my car in their possession which proves intent to fix. The options given to me where not reasonable solutions. He was very condescending in the way he talked to me. The paperwork that I signed said the car would be running for 15 days after purchase or 500 miles. The check engine light came on the *** AFTER I purchased the car. At the point it was parked and ***** was notified. As a business, they need to stand behind promises their employees make. $500 to help with with $5000 in a slap in the face.
Sincerely,
