paid 450 on 6-6-23 for 5 of us to stay at this rv park location. the lady blamed us for messing up the bathrooms and told us that a 8 year old autistic girl was being to loud and bothering all the older folks, she had had a bit of a temper tantrum. the park manager contacted us saying all but the person who paid for the spot needed to leave by june 17th. She also changed the codes to the parks bathrooms and shower rooms on the 12th and informed us that showers would be 5 dollars a piece. She placed a sign up on her office door telling other tenants that they can come ask for the new code. when we were still there on the 17th she called the police on us. she stated in front of the officer that she was gooing to tow our RV, and when i told her that we had certain rights, she told us that we didnt have the same rights as other tenants. this will be on the officers body cam footage as well. On the morning of the 1st of july she came over and unpluged our power cord from the power box and put a combination lock on it. 5 minutes later she came over and put a similar lock on the water spicket after she saw me using it. I served her a letter demanding she turn on the power and was ignored. I had a lawyer call her on the 3rd, she Said the landlord was unwilling to turn it back on after being told by the lawyer that this was illegal.

      Business response

      07/20/2023

paid 450 on 6-6-23 for 5 of us to stay at this rv park location.
RESPONSE: One person (guest) paid $450.00 for a monthly site. She invited 4 other people (visitors) to live with her without telling the management they would be living with her full time. The person that filed this complaint was a visitor.

the lady blamed us for messing up the bathrooms and told us that a 8 year old autistic girl was being to loud and bothering all the older folks, she had had a bit of a temper tantrum.
RESPONSE: The visitors of the guest were seen by other park guests yelling and pounding on the bathroom doors. Cigarette ashes and trash were strewn around the bathrooms. Other guests made several noise complaints pertaining to the guest's adult visitors. Other guests thought the daughter of the guests visitor was delightful and she played with the other children in the park. They did however complain when it sounded like the child was being harmed and afraid to enter the RV.

the park manager contacted us saying all but the person who paid for the spot needed to leave by june 17th. She also changed the codes to the parks bathrooms and shower rooms on the 12th and informed us that showers would be 5 dollars a piece. She placed a sign up on her office door telling other tenants that they can come ask for the new code.
RESPONSE: The guest was asked to leave after breaking several park rules including speeding through the park and endangering other guests, disorderly conduct, smoking in public buildings and leaving cigarette butts all over the park, and not maintaining a neat and clean site at all times. We had other guests leave because of their intimidation of them and their constant disorderly conduct. The guest was told when she moved her RV into the park that the showers were $5.00 per use. The bathroom codes always change after someone has used the shower.

when we were still there on the 17th she called the police on us. she stated in front of the officer that she was gooing to tow our RV, and when i told her that we had certain rights, she told us that we didnt have the same rights as other tenants. this will be on the officers body cam footage as well.
RESPONSE: RV parks in ***** do not follow the landlord tenant laws since RV parks are considered transient housing. The site authorization agreement signed by the guest clearly stated that the guest will be asked to leave immediately if they violate the park rules. The police officers body camera will also show the guests visitor telling the officer that they would be leaving on June 25, 2023, which did not happen.

On the morning of the 1st of july she came over and unpluged our power cord from the power box and put a combination lock on it. 5 minutes later she came over and put a similar lock on the water spicket after she saw me using it. I served her a letter demanding she turn on the power and was ignored.
RESPONSE: As of July 1, 2023, the guests RV was an unauthorized vehicle and as the site authorization agreement stated, unauthorized vehicles will not have access to water and power and are subject to towing. They were warned of this when we gave notice to the guest that we would not be renewing their monthly agreement. They refused to leave and admitted that they could not afford to pay for the site or a tow truck to move their RV. We were kind enough to pay to have their RV towed to their place of choice.

I had a lawyer call her on the 3rd, she Said the landlord was unwilling to turn it back on after being told by the lawyer that this was illegal.
RESPONSE: The attorney with ***** Legal Aid that advised the guest did not know that RV parks did not follow the ***** landlord tenant laws. She was later informed of the laws regarding RV parks through our attorneys.
