    I have been with Blue Cross of Idaho for several years and had no issues. Ever since they switched their website/system over they weren't accepting my monthly payments. They have since deactivated my insurance and I haven't been able to fill my prescriptions for A MONTH now. I have spokien to SEVERAL customer service personel, who were all very kind and promising, but nothing has happened for weeks. No insurance. No medication. This is a health issue for me. I do not understand why they are taking so long. I have called at least 6 times over the last 4 weeks. I am paid in full and have filled out their documents, done whatever I need. I will not be using them after this cycle.

    This is the WORST insurance company and I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this insurance company. They took forever to begin my policy despite having paid my monthly premium. Then, I didn't even get an explanation of benefits for at least another month. Then it took multiple months before I could even get access to the member portal on their website. I was billed twice for one month and they supposedly issued a refund. Multiple calls and two months later, I still have not received the refund. You aren't allowed to speak with anyone other than customer ********************** reps who know absolutely nothing. They just type in notes that go to whatever department and then it takes weeks for anything to be rectified. They are part of the Blue Card program however they denied every single claim even though I did my due diligence to make sure all the providers were in network. Save yourself the misery of dealing with them and look elsewhere for coverage. This place is a scam.

    If I could change insurance I would. I switched employers - both use BC of Idaho. For some reason this is causing an issue with their computer system, and I can't even register on the website. I can't look at my account, I can't look up providers, nothing. I've called 3 times and e-mailed twice, but it's an "IT issue" and once a ticket is allegedly submitted nothing else can be done. So essentially, I'm paying for insurance that I can't use because I can't see what I'm eligible for. Way to go Blue Cross.

    I don't know the purpose of having insurance with Blue Cross of Idaho. They do not pay for anything. First, I dealt with denial after denial of my son's mental health treatment. They continuously disagreed with the medical providers treating him. As a result, he is now in the legal system when his life just may have been saved if Blue Cross had covered the recommended services. Now, they are denying diagnostic testing my physician is ordering for me. For all the money my employer and I have poured into premiums, I get nothing in return. It appears Blue Cross would rather have their members die so they don't have to pay anything than actually cover any diagnostics or treatment recommended by medical providers.

    The people I have spoken too were very clear on details as well as to let me know some of the employees are fairly new. Even the building is new. 2023 is my first time trying the health benefits they offer. I would say it is commendable too give thier new employees a fair chance .
