Jun 26 2021 Wedding photography So basically we booked a wedding photographer about a year and a half ago. He approached my fianc on ******** saying she won $1000 off a wedding package. Everything seemed good and cordial at first however after we made our second payment for a total of $2,800 is when the photographer slapped us with a sticker shock of $4,000 for travel expenses for ***** to Georgia. We asked how they came up with the number and all they said was something about equipment insurance which wasn't specified in their contract In that same email they also suggested that if it's too expensive that we can go with another photographer like one from a school or something. Following that we requested a refund however they said no refunds unless it's more than a year out of the wedding date. The contract was made explicitly one sided and exploits the fact that they're not obligated to a refund unless its 30 days from the event if they can't find a suitable replacement based on what the photographer deems good enough. He also requires payment in full 3 moths in advance. This is underhanded and likely benefits from contract cancellations. I'm Uploading the contract so that you may see what I'm talking about. His also has a history of being completely unreasonable with covid cancelled weddings as well from the reviews i seen. I would like a refund, but above all else make sure he never makes these underhanded deals to anyone else
