In January of 2024, I signed a contract with PMT for internet service for my business. The agreement was for 36 months. In February of 2025, I had no option but to move my business location. When I inquired about having the internet service moved to my new location in the same town, I was told they did not offer service there. I spoke with my new landlord about her possibly finding an internet provider. I did not say which provider I had been using. She agreed and made some calls. She said that she had called PMT and another internet company, and they both told her they did not service that location. I then called PMT and canceled services, since they could not offer it any longer. I then received a bill for $1,623.09 for an early termination fee. I called PMT numerous times to try and get this situation figured out. I was told by **********, who works for PMT, that they would have to charge me regardless of them being able to provide a service or not, because I signed a contract. But, they were not able to uphold their end of the agreement. The contract doesn't state anything about moving locations or them being unable to fulfill services. I feel like they are taking advantage of people and if they can't provide the said service, the contract should be voided.
