I hired ***, Nielson, Platts and McGee Attorneys for my divorce case. I paid a retainer fee of $1500.00 dollars. The attorney Plates said, this retainer would cover my case. After the we appeared in court, I called his secretary ***** and asked how much was left of the retainer, she said $279.00 dollars. ***** said the needed to file a couple papers with the court and the remainder of the retainer would cover it. At that time I specifically explained to her not to go over the retainer and notify me, if the do, because I may seek other representation to finish my case, because of being dissatisfied with there services. ***** said ok. A few weeks later I received a bill from them in the amount of $678.00. I was in shock and emotionaly distressed and called the office hopping to resolve this issue. I talked to ***************************** and explained to her what I had spoken to ***** about. ******** was extremely rude and said well thats to bad. She went on to say ***************** not work here anymore and to pay the bill. I do not feel they treated me well and continued to bill me for services I did not approve, Plaese help me.

He is not telling the truth. Attached is a copy of his retainer agreement. It clearly states that it is not a flat fee. He was extremely rude to my staff when this was explained to him. Thank you.
