I bought a GMC Terrain at Antioch on 5/25/2024. The purchase price for the used car included a $3K extended warranty. Antioch inspected the car, and, on the report, it shows no issues. On December 5, I noticed on the dashboard a warning light reflecting a Service Battery Assist Code. I initially reported this issue to my uncle, and he contacted the seller. I was told to bring the car to facility for service. I drove the car with my mom to the dealer for testing. Antioch gave me a rental while my car was being serviced. My car was assigned to R/O#******/1 from 12/6/24- 12/13/24. I was told by service the car would be transported to the local ** dealer across the street. According to the service documents the work was completed by 5047 and coded VCS740270. On 12/11/24, Antioch service department closed my ticket. According to the service paperwork no service battery assist code was on the Terrain. I did not get a diagnostic report of what was evaluated. On 12/13/24, I picked up my car trusting that my car was safe to drive seventy-four miles home on the *******. I traveled with my mom as I approached 95th and Ridgeland the dashboard displayed the same Service Battery Assist Code. My Mom instantly snapped a photo of the code on the dashboard as ******** Mom reported the issue to her brother who resides closer to Antioch, and it was reported again to your service department who told me to clean the sensors. After researching the code and calling local service centers. I was informed I should have the car serviced that code means that things are failing on the car which could be dangerous if I continue driving or a crash it if malfunctions. The Antioch dealership was notified of the issue verbally twice about the repairs, the Sales manager was emailed 12/20 and it was sent via *** Ex. I want a full refund for the money I spent to repair the car and fed ex fees. The sales manager has only spoken to my brother and offered to buy the car.

The dealership is prepared to offer $500 back to the customer on good faith for a used car repair.  The estimate they received from another repair shop included potential repairs, and recommended future repairs. These are part of vehicle ownership and are not the responsibility of Antioch CDJR.

I am rejecting your offer to refund me $500.00. It is apparent that this vehicle was not inspected prior to being sold from your facility. My paperwork states a 21-point inspection was performed on 5/25/24 by Antioch service, and 12/6-12/13 this car was brought to your facility for the same service light issue and inspection. I did not make it home on 12/13/24 from your facility and the same light was on the dashboard. Why werent the brakes, leaks and rotor issues noticed if it the car was inspected. Also, why was I sold a $3000.00 warranty with limited coverage. I tried in good faith to work with your facility to fix the issues before having to seek outside help. I communicated this to your facility. To prevent endangering myself and other motorist there was no way I could drive back to Antioch. I think your offer is unreasonable and at the least I should be refunded $1,119.80. Your refund does not cover the cost of the brakes and rotors $1079.80 (FB) $504.90 and BB ($574.90) two of the most dangerous things that could have caused me to crash this vehicle while driving since they were handing by threads. Also, I had to pay $40.00 to Fed Ex the paperwork to your facility which was emailed 4 times to ***. I traveled from the city to your business because of a long standing and trusting relationship my uncle had with ****. I am disappointed with the entire outcome I think this is totally unfair as a consumer and just wrong. Please review my attachments.

Purchased a 2014 Jeep ********************** from the Antioch Jeep dealership in November of 2021. It was financed through Chrysler Credit when I was in the finance office at the dealership the Business Manager offered me a **************** Policy on my Grand Cherokee which I wanted it, since I drive a lot of mileage each year This Policy cost me two thousand dollars for an **************** Policy that covered the Engine, Transmission and Drive ****. Within the last two weeks I took my Grand Cherokee into the dealership to have some work done on it. The service manager stated in their records on my car I had a Entended Warranty, come to find out that the Extended Warranty that I puchased DID NOT COVER WHAT I WAS TOLD IT COVERED, IT DIDN'T EVEN COVER ANYTHING WITH THE ENGINE OR DRIVE **** AS I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD AND WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT MY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS I PAID FOR IT. IT WAS FOR A WHEEL AND RIM WARRANTY WHICH I HAD NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE.I went into the dealership and voiced my complaint the ** said he'd give me a super deal on another used vehicle which would have basicslly a new car warranty on it becaise the car had only ****** miles on it. I was considering the deal they were offering me but backed out of the deal the very next day after talking with a business associate of mine. They offered me about 50% for what my car was worth in the transaction since the check engine light was on. My car is in the same condition as I purchased it in back in November of 2021.Except it has some engine problems that need to be corrected.I mentioned my **************** Issue to another Jeep Dealer they laughed and basically stated Finance Manager sell these policies to make additional profit for the dealership and the ************ and that the actual cost of these policies is about five hundred dollars and that they had never heard of an extended service plan covering the wheels and rims and neither had I. I was basically told I got ripped off.

We have all signed documents from ****************** & all paper work was presented & explained at time of delivery.. Also, I tried to resolve the issue by upgrading ****************** into a newer vehicle w/less miles, & a warranty (which I was not charging him). He actually agreed to the deal, then he left & never came back.. Instead, he made a complaint..

I purchased a 2019 Dodge Ram **** Big Horn with less than ****** miles on it from this dealership in late summer of 2022. Within the first month of having the vehicle the check engine light came on so I took it to my local dealer who charged me hundreds of dollars to "Update the computer". Then, still in the first month, the truck wouldn't start. Not starting was an intermittent problem so I took it to 1 mechanic, then when he couldn't recreate the problem I took it back to my local Dodge dealer. They said the problem was my battery and charged me over $400 for a new battery. I tried calling the Antioch dealer about all the money this was costing me and they just said it wasn't under warranty. Just weeks later the intermittent no-start condition began happening again. I called Antioch Chrysler Dodge Ram to see what they would do about it and they just told me I had to have it towed to them and I would have to pay for the tow. The tow turned out to be close to $500. They did determine the starter was bad and replaced it. Now last week apparently a head gasket failed, leaving me on the side of the highway with a puddle of coolant that was brown from mixing with oil. Had to pay to tow the truck to the nearest Dodge Dealer. They say that my new 2019 Ram that I have had for less than 6 months needs a new engine. I called Antioch Dodge Chrysler, Jeep twice and both times someone from service told me they would speak with their director and he would call me back. I have never received any call back from anyone.

PER SERVICE ***** USED CAR INSPECTON WAS COMPLETED ON JUNE 7 2022, MILES WERE ******.. CUSTOMER WENT TO LOCAL DEALER, THEY TOLD HIM IT WAS BATTERY, AND CHARGED HIM $400, BUT STILL HAD PROBLEM. THEN HE CAME TO US, AND STATED INTERMITTENT NO START, AT ****** MILES.. WE REPLACED THE STARTED CUSTOMER PAY. AFTER ALL THAT, HE STATES THAT HE HAS "ENGINE ISSUES", WHICH WAS DIAGNOSED AT A DIFFERENT DODGE DEALER.. WE CALLED HIM TO SET UP A APPOINTMENT, AND OFFERED SOME GOOD WILL ASSISTANCE, AND WE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN..

I am rejecting this response because: The response given is an absolute lie. They NEVER reached out to me for anything. They NEVER offered me any help or "goodwill" of any kind. The truck is sitting at a different dealership because that is where it BROKE DOWN! Sitting on the side of the road I had to have the truck that I owned for less than 6 months towed to the nearest dealer where it still sits now almost 3 weeks later because the engine itself is a manufacturer defect. I called them twice after I had the truck towed and BOTH of the people I spoke to LIED, saying that they would have the "director" of their dealership call me. NOONE EVER CALLED!!!!! Whoever responded to this complaint is a perfect representative of a crooked dealer. Lying crooks with ZERO business ethics!

    Complaint: 19506698

I am rejecting this response because: The response is accurate. People from this dealership began reaching out to me a couple days ago on 4/6/23 I believe. Unfortunately, it has been 6 weeks since I needed them. It has been 6 weeks since I tried to get ahold of management there. It has been 6 weeks since they made a conscious decision to ignore me. It's WWWAAAYYYYY too late to have the truck removed from the dealership that I've been working with for the last 6 weeks. This Antioch dealership only finally decided to reach out to me after multiple bad reviews and complaints. At this point, the only thing they can do, is to ensure that I pay nothing for the repairs needed to this defective vehicle that they sold me. If they do that, I will consider my complaint closed. The manager I spoke with seemed to genuinely want a solution, but with his staff routinely s******* their customers, the solution is better managing of the dealership and addressing staff misconduct in a more timely fashion than 6 weeks later.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

I bought my car in October. Upon buying my vehicle there was a "we owe" done for the scratches, a ***** in the Front bumper and a sensor fix. The dealership contacted me to do the repairs. I brought the vehicle in at 8 am and they told me that they did not have a loner for me and I would have to wait. I finally received a loaner after a 2+ hour wait. They stated they would call me to let me know what was going on with my vehicle later that day for me to get my vehicle. I never received a call. I called them at 5pm only to be told that the person I was dealing with had left for the day and my vehicle went to a body shop and it is unknown where it was. The following day I received a phone call stating my vehicle never left the lot. A week later they called to say it was finished. Went to pick it up and the scratches were not done. They stated they would fix them had vehicle for an additional few days, almost 2 weeks now told me it was finished and I could come pick it up. When I went to pick it up the scratches were still there and the sensor was not fixed. The gm came out yelling screaming and cursing. Told me to take my vehicle somewhere else to be accessed. I did upon doing so it was the body shops mistake. Antioch then told me they would take care of it with the body shop. It is now over a month and a half, and I have not heard anything. The vehicle is still not fixed and have not had any return phone calls. The Front sensor is a safety issue and has not been addressed. This is very upsetting and concerning.

I bought a used car (*** ***** from business. Within weeks of purchase check engine light comes on. I called business and was told to bring it in. The salesman brought out the general manager who brought document about "As is" sales. However said he would pay for the diagnostic, but only after I complained. Next door there was a *********** center in Antioch, however the general manager said he did not want me to take it there. This did not make any sense, but in trying to stay compliant - I took it all the way to the *********** center in ********. He said he used to work there and they would take care of it. When I got there they did not know what I was even talking about and that the General manager did not even call as be said he was. I called him back and he said he did not call because he thought I would go the next day. This was already a string of lies. The service center manager told me to pull it around. When the service team did the diagnostic my friend I were there when they did it. The codes that were relayed to the service team came back to tell me the motor was shot and that it needed to be replaced, but no worries as they told me it was on recall. I called Antioch Chrysler back to let them know the situation. The very next day the service center called back and said my vehicle did not have any oil in it and that they would not be doing any work to it and that it now needed a new knock sensor. I did not understand as I was told the day before that the motor was shot. They told me sorry. I called Antioch Chrysler back and got no response, but I did not let up until I got the general manager who told me he is a very busy guy. He told me to bring the car back to the Antioch *** and when doing so that service center said that they could do no work on it as the codes from the diagnostic were cleared. After this Antioch Chrysler has offered to buy the vehicle back at way less than my purchase only if I buy another vehicle from them.
