I gave my car to this mechanic shop March 18th,2022 after getting into an accident on February 15,2022. Our car was initially supposed to be ready June or July of 2022. He kept on pushing the date and we let him know that we have been spending money out of pocket for Ubers and deliveries. When I went to go see my truck in August it was still in the same position outside untouched with parts just sitting in front of it stating our truck would be ready first week of September and then pushed the date again to October. He keeps pushing the dates and has every excuse in the book for why the car is still not ready. We were supposed to have our car ready today January 3rd, 2023 and again he is pushing the date until January 5th, 2023. He always has an excuse and can never keep his dates or reach out to us to update. I am always having to call to get an update and he can never keep his story straight. I would like to get my truck back because 10 months is to long for him to still needing to work on it.

Attach you will find the copy of the Resolution she agreed with the insurance. Insurance would be accepting 73% of liability and ******* would be responsible for 27% for failure to enter intersection with caution/ reduce speed.

Attach  you will find the Authorization form, it states that repairs must be paid when vehicle is ready for delivery.

The repairs were too extensive, the initial estimate was written for ******* but with further inspections the repairs increased to ********. We cannot control delays in the repairs. We don't have parts in stock and we have to control over the deliveries. The additional repairs needed to be approved by the insurance company and the additional parts needed to be received. This vehicle is a *********************************************************************************************************************************************** big quantities.

As we speak the insurance company is reviewing the final estimate and we still haven't received the total amount that customer owes.

As a courtesy to ******* we did provide her with a loaner vehicle.

******* was given a written estimate  for repairs totaling ******* but a check was made for $5357.70. She will owe the difference

The insurance company has the final bill and will need to approve it, the final total we don't have. She will need to pay the 27% for the final bill.

We do apologize for not keeping you updated.

I am rejecting this response because:
When **** received the car and he examined it, I was told the car only suffered body damage. The fact that the car damages cost half of what the car is worth is ridiculous to me. **** did give us a loaner in August  after having my truck for almost 6 months already. The times that we had seen the car the parts were sitting in front of it for months. He did not start actually working on my my truck until after the summer time. It was not only parts that has been delaying his work he had other issues come about that I was lenient about because you cant always control things but we are almost going on one year without my truck. I chose him as the mechanic because he said he could handle the job and at any point he could have stated that he could not handle it and I could have taken my business else where. I have spent hundreds of dollars in Ubers and deliveries for groceries and paying people for rides prior to the loaner due to how long he was taking. The loaner was not for him to take longer on my vehicle. I no longer have his loaner due to him stating I would be having my truck this week which has been postponed again. So now I am without a truck the week of my sons first birthday and having activities for my kids planned on the weekend and no vehicle to move around in.
    Sincerely,

Attach you will find a copy of the estimate that was approved on 06/27. The shortage in parts caused by pandemic and the reduction in deliveries caused a big inconvenience in getting the parts delivered in a timely manner. This vehicle is a new make and model and parts were not available. We were facing supply chain issues. Our company was also going thru challenging times with the lack of workforce due to staff absences from COVid 19. We were suffering from slowing production time on all our cars that were getting repaired.

On page 8, you will find a statement that reads "this is not a final approved estimate, nor acceptance to pay. American Alliance will review the estimate and give final approval and/or may request an additional audit or solicit additional information to make an informed payment decision" Currently the insurance company is reviewing the the final approval, we are working with American Alliance in closing this Estimate to get a final amount that the customer will owe.
