On December 12, 2019 I purchased 4 tickets to a concert, Straight No Chaser, scheduled to take place on April 5, 2020. I paid $354.36 for the tickets. Rather than crediting patrons back the cost of the event or providing an "opt-in" for the continued changes, the venue relied on patrons to follow their sporadic and ill timed emails to know that they were going to be on the hook for an event that would be rescheduled at the whim of the venue. In this case, in looking back through emails, I found that notice of the event being rescheduled was sent on April 21, 2021, more than a year prior, to June 4, 2022. No follow up emails were sent in an attempt to confirm with patrons that they had received the update, that they were available for the new date, confirming the new date, or otherwise allowing patrons an opportunity to get a refund for the tickets. On June 2, 2022, an email was sent confirming the show was going forward and allowing no opportunity following the April 21, 2021 communication to seek a refund. This is ridiculous. There was no information in the original ticket related to rescheduling of the event, such as one has with an outdoor venue. There is no contractual agreement that allows this venue to s**** its patrons out of hundreds of dollars without proper attempts at notice and the ability to seek a refund.
