I have been a customer with Sigman since 2005, for servicing my two electric air conditioning units. They have made numerous calls to my house -- usually because my upstairs unit has leaked water through the floor and into the kitchen ceiling. I have kept my copies of the work performed and enclosed them with this letter. I am turning to BBB because a letter I wrote to Sigman in December 2021 has so far not been answered by phone or letter.. I have pictures of damage to the ceiling and wall in the kitchen. I purchased a new Bryant air conditioner unit for upstairs from Sigman, removing the old unit. It cost $5,932. Over the past 17 years I have spent thousands of dollars with Sigman. I am asking that they take responsibility for this leak and repair it for me. The tech came to my house 07/06, 2020 because I had water leaking from the upstairs air conditioning unit into the ceiling of the kitchen. He suggested that I have a wet switch installed. He did not have one so the next day (July 7, 2020) it was installed by another tech. Air conditioning leaking into the ceiling from upstairs unit. Called Sigman Aug. 28, 2020. A barb tee fitting was installed in the morning. Noticed water leaking from upstairs air conditioner. There was a water bubble in the paint in the kitchen doorway. Also water on the carpet in the hallway. The ceiling was very wet. I called Sigman and they sent a tech. This was in the evening. He said that "something was not closed properly" then he left. He did not give me any paper work nor was I charged for the service call. The damage from the water continued to show up in the wall in the kitchen, the ceiling, and the door frames. I waited to see how much damage there was to the kitchen. Then there was the pandemic, I had knee replacement in November 2020, and just did not do anything until 2021 with purchase of new unit. I feel that Sigman was at fault and should repair the water damage from the air conditioning unit upstairs.
