I purchased the vehicle from JC Auto sales October, 22, 2024. I took the vehicle to Valvoline ( I work there) so I can inspect it myself. I noticed that battery wasn't holding a charge and glovebox door was falling apart, filters were worn and dirty. The oil look old as well as oil filter. I went back to JC auto sales and show them and asked them can they do something because I just got this car from them. I was told I can't get a refund on the car which shocked me because I just wanted them to fix the glove box and change the battery. He tells me that if I want a new battery I can pay $50 for a new one. We began talking about me giving the car back. They tell me that I can give the car back but I will have to pay the taxes on the car if I do. I say ok and they tell me that I can't give the car back. (October 23) I call the bank and they told me they could if they give the check back and I give the car back. I go back up there the next day and they wave me off, saying that they are not give the money back. I had the bank call them to handle it and they told the bank that they are not going to do it. ***** calls me afterwards to tell me that I can sell the car back to them but it won't be for the value I bought it and I can get another vehicle from them if I like. I said no just give me a refund and ***** began raising his voice at me. I told him I don't want to argue with him and told him multiple time to calm down and stop talking to me like that.(October 26) I call the owner and he gave the same run around. The check engine light came on . (October 28) I got it tested and found that the cataliytic converter was bad. They must have known this because the dtc history was clear, which mean they turned off the check engine light. Oil is burning in the engine as well, giving off burning smell when using heat. This is from the oil leak going into the intake. I only had the car for 6 day/ 220miles. This situation has been a nightmare and more details in the pictures.

Mr. ********** came to us on 10/17/24. He test drove 2 vehicles and decided to purchase the 2015 ***** Cruze. Anyone who buys a vehicle from us has the opportunity to have the vehicle pre-purchase inspected by a third party, however he did not choose to do so. He was evidently satisfied with the condition and operation of the vehicle considering he took measures to secure financing through his own lender. Mr. ********** returned to us 5 days later on 10/22/24 with a cashier check from his lender and took delivery of the vehicle. We would not have responded to a concern/request to help with a glovebox door and battery with immediately denying a refund In regards to the battery concern, the repair estimate he has provided from Midas shows the battery tested good. As far as we are aware the battery was not replaced, or if it had been no evidence has been provided.

Vehicle sales in ******** are final once the customer has taken delivery of the vehicle. We have offered to trade Mr. ********** out of the vehicle if he would like. This is the first we are being made aware of a check engine light on the vehicle. If Mr. ********** would like our help with the repair he can contact us and as a good faith gesture we would be willing to complete the repairs at dealer cost (far less than the amount quoted by Midas) and split the cost with him 50/50.

I paid 8000$ for a car that ***** **** **** says is only worth 4,991$, when I test drove the car the tire pressure sensor was on and the check engine light came on as soon as I drove off the lot. My mechanic is saying that they turned it off before selling it to me. The tires were bald and I had to get things in my engine fixed literally 3 days later. I've tried to rectify things with them by asking for some kind of refund. They say they don't do refunds, I threatened to take them to court because ****** is saying that the odometer was set back. They say no and hang up on me. Then this guy named ***** comes on and tells me that they would be willing to buy the car back. I call them an hour later and ***** tells me that actually they can't buy the car back. They have been no help, they say that they can fix my car if it has any issues but they shouldnt have sold me an overpriced car with issues in the first place. This was my first time buying a car and I was really excited so I jumped the gun, they took advantage of a young adult who knew little about cars.

*** ****** purchased the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on 7/22/2023. ****** **** **** is simply a valuation guide, this tool does not determine the final price buyer and seller agree on in the process of a retail sale. *** ****** agreed to purchase the vehicle for the asking price on his own free will, if he felt the vehicle was overpriced he could’ve negotiated the price or opted not to purchase.
The tire pressure indicator was not a concern of *** ******’s at the time of sale, otherwise the concern should have been raised so that a solution could’ve been agreed on prior to sale. We have received no evidence of the check engine light coming on, and we currently have the vehicle in our shop and there is no check engine light present. As for the tires, the vehicle is used as are all components on it. *** ****** was able to review the vehicle prior to purchase and if he had any concerns in regards to condition they should’ve been expressed then or he should have opted not to purchase.
In regards to the mileage concern, the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) shows no record of any type of mileage discrepancy or issue and verifies that current mileage is actual. Third party vehicle history reports, such as CarFax, are subject to error and may not always be accurate. Mileage at the date of sale was 113,133 and *** ****** has driven the vehicle 1,452 miles to get it to it’s current mileage of 114,585. This alone should be proof that the vehicle is plenty operable.
We have offered to help with any repair issues that may arise with the vehicle, but at the present date there doesn’t appear to be any issues with the vehicle consistent with what *** ****** is claiming. He has even had the vehicle at a local third party repair shop and they could not replicate the issues he claims to be having. Vehicle purchases are final, no returns or refunds will be granted, especially considering the concerns he is alleging are not present or apparent. No one was taken advantage of and there was no wrong doing on our part.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: they claimed to have looked at the car and that it's working fine and that there's no issues. They even went as far as calling me a liar and terrible human being and that they hope my car explodes in a week. I have recently sent them videos and pictures of the car not starting and the check engine light being on. I do not believe that they even looked at the car despite what theyre saying.

      Sincerely,

      **** ******

March 2022, I purchased a vehicle from this company. I paid them $2800.00 down and just 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle the transmission started slipping. I took the car back to dealer, and they denied feeling any slipping in the transmission during a test drive. The transmission is completely out now and I have an estimate of $4000.00 to repair it. This company is refusing to pay for any repairs or to trade it out for a more dependable vehicle, they are stating the car only came with a 30 day warranty. I reported this issue to them way before the warranty ended, they denied the issue and stalled me to avoid having to cover needed repairs.

Ms. ***** purchased her vehicle from us 3/1/2022. She did bring the vehicle back to us a couple weeks after purchase with concerns about how the vehicle was shifting. We drove the vehicle with her up to highway speeds, noticing no issues with how the vehicle was shifting. No check engine light or trouble codes were present. After this Ms. ***** claimed to us that she drove the car to California and back. This past Monday, 6/6, Ms. ***** called claiming she had taken her vehicle to a local transmission shop and the shop advised her transmission was bad and in need of replacement. We contacted the shop ourselves and they told us that they did not perform any diagnostics on the car whatsoever and Ms. ***** had just stopped by and talked with them briefly. Ms. ***** refuses to bring the vehicle to us for diagnostics and she is still actively driving the vehicle. We have seen her on the road in the car in the past few days. As of now there is no reason to believe there are any issues with the transmission in the vehicle. We would be more than willing to run diagnostics on the car if she would like to schedule an appointment with our shop.
