    Back in 2021, I hired Scott's to pour a concrete patio in my backyard. From the beginning, there were problems with the patio, with several parts being unfinished, sloppy, and most worrisome, major pooling of water due to a bad grading of the patio, which led all water directly into the house. I contacted Scott's and they attempted to fix some of the issues, however, nothing was done about the grading of the patio, and water has continued to be a problem pooling against my house. Finally late last year I convinced the owner to come and take a look. He and one of his main staff members saw the issue and agreed that something needed to be done. We talked about a few options in the fall of last year, with the plan to try the easiest fix first and if that did not work, to progressively work up to more substantial repair jobs. I have emails from the owner to validate all of this. We last talked in November and he said that we needed warmer weather in order to attempt the fix. I wished him well and told him I'd be in touch in the spring. This spring rolls around, and he is refusing to do anything to help and claims that he never agreed to doing anything about the problem, regardless of the fact that I have emails from him. I am now in the position of having to pay another contractor over $7,000 to rip out and replace the patio because Scott's did such a poor job and is completely unwilling to do anything at all to rectify the situation.
