    I contracted with Bluestone Environmental *** for asbestos tiles removal/asbestos abatement. During estimate the contractor told me that Bluestone people would not be removing furniture, so I found someone else to help me do that. On the day of scheduled work, the Bluestone contractor arrived and saw that the furniture movers are still on their way, which I stated that since the movers start their work at 9am instead of 8am, they would get here soon. There were about 3-4 large pieces of furniture items that need to be moved so it would not take a long time to do. Bluestone left without doing the work. Later they sent a $600 invoice. My complaint is that:1. Bluestone said that they would not move the furniture, so I'd gotten the movers, they had not told me at any point that the furniture has to be moved already before they start the work. I was waiting for their guidance on where to put the furniture that would not affect their work area. I could not read their mind. 2. *** from Bluestone called me and said that the workers had left for the day, and when I tried to raise my objection, all of them were met with denial. After half an hour on the call, they hung up on me. 3. Another person from Bluestone called me and continued to deny that they had done anything wrong by simply walking away without doing anything. They did not have any concerns about the inconveniences that had caused me. They wanted me to pay the $600 permit fee, I said I shouldn't have to pay for it because I wasn't the one who upended the job. I was never offered to reschedule. 4. ***** from Bluestone then wrote to my management office and told them I had canceled the job and as a result she was canceling the permits for doing the work on my unit. I wasn't sure why she would write that since I was never offered a reschedule. 5. Received an invoice from ***** for the permits for the work. Did she not cancel it? Need the invoice canceled.

    Earlier today (Aug 12, 2022), Bluestone was made aware of a BBB complaint submitted by *************************** in relation to an asbestos removal project scheduled for July 20, 2022. We understand that ******** had several concerns, including: (1) how issues related to stored items were handled on the day of the project, (2) the delay this caused in completing her project, and (3) an outstanding invoice for permit fees that she believes is unwarranted, since the project was not completed.

    In response to the complaint, Bluestone spoke with the client (on August 12, 2022)to apologize for confusion related to movement of stored items, and for the delay this caused to her project. Additionally, we agreed to cancel her outstanding invoice for project permit fees (even though Bluestone has already incurred those fees and cant get them refunded). Finally, to redress the delay to Ms. *** project (and the inconvenience this has caused), Bluestone has decided to pay the permit fees for her project, when it is rescheduled.
