I purchased a new ***** Bolt 2023 EUV and ***** offered a promotion to cover the home installation to upgrade the electric at my house. My salesperson told me that I needed a charger that was $599 so I bought it from the dealer's parts department. The following day I provided the charger to the Qmerit electrical company rep when they came to do the install. After an hour or two, the electrician told me the charger the dealer told me to buy wasn't necessary and that I should return it because the charger wouldn't charge my car any quicker than the charger I already had been given with the car. The electrician upgraded my electrical service and left. When I tried to return the charger at the dealer they told me they would not accept the return because it was electronics and the box had been opened. I am trying every method at my disposal to return the equipment and get a refund. I was sold unnecessary equipment and I feel it's the dealer's responsibility to make that right for the customer as they were the ones who recommended it as the right charger. They told me it would charge my car the fastest, but the electrician said the charger I already had that came with the car was the fastest my car would take a charge. I was not aware of the car dealer's return policy until after I gave them my credit card and it was on the receipt they handed me. I didn't anticipate I would need to return the item, but the electric company did not install it in my unit as it was overkill for the vehicle I had purchased and unnecessary. The parts department at ***** would not take the item back and I told them I would be disputing it with my credit card company and we are in the midst of an investigation. I would like this resolved.

    Better Business Bureau:

The Business has addressed my concerns outside of addressing the BBB in reference to complaint ID ********. My issue is resolved and my complaint can be closed. The business told me I posted the complaint under the wrong business so I'll do a new complaint under the right business' page.

    Sincerely,
