This will say it all in a nutshell. They are trying to get me to pay $3,308 for installing a water heater! The first **** had only a total on it, no itemized items at all. I refused and asked for an itemized ****. The second one was only partially itemized, and the rest were mostly items too ridiculous to be believed. Such as: $300 for ***** feet of wire which sells for $2.59 per foot at Ace Hardware ($129.50 plus tax for 50 feet.; $80 for sliding a water heater off the back of his truck. $80 for his gasoline (We live 5 miles apart.) $20.81 for a drill bit which he kept for himself; $160 "labor" for trips for supplies.during the same ten hours that I paid him $80 per hour for. An additional $500 for "installing a water heater". That's what the ten hours were for! $506 for electrical items, not including the wire. All I can see is a small pllasic box where the wires join together. He outright lied in person and on paper about the cost of the water heater he brought. His **** says it was $643., but I priced the same model # where he got it at $369.00 all day, every day. Now he has sent me an "Intent to file a lien on my property" letter. I just filed a complaint on the ******** Attorney General's web site.
