I have filed a claim with the company for a part of my car they took while servicing me with a winch service on Jan 10, 2025. I have not heard back from them after the initial contact and it has been 14 days now. The claims department is only available by email is what I was told when I tried to call.Business Response

Regarding the claim that was filed against the company for a "car part" that was mistakenly taken Jan 10, 2025, we never received an invoice for the missing piece ONLY. We received the mileage of the alleged route she took to the dealership and a total of what she believed the price would amount to. We are not liable for any miles that were taken to go pick up the piece, especially since car parts as small as that could have easily been shipped. We are more than happy to pay for the missing piece and or bring back her original tow cap. Please have her send over the invoice/receipt of the piece she bought, and we will reimburse her. Yaffo contacted me after my roadside assistance requested towing service for my 2917 Passat that was parked in my driveway Driver from Yaffo contacted me with ***. I told driver that a flatbed was requested. He said okay The tow arrived and was not a flatbed When asked he said my car was not a 4wd He had to back car from driveway in order to attach the tow apparatus to front of car Apparatus did not attach properly and driver attempted to pull the car The results were cracked molding bending and scratching I contacted AmFam. Their advice was to file a claim with Yaffo I did contact Yaffo and was referred to Jasmine They did give me the procedure for beginning a claim. I submitted all that was required. I have attempted to call Jasmine. She refused my calls. She just did not pick up I went to Yaffo to speak with Jasmine She was not available I left my info for her to call She has not reached outBusiness Response

I received Yaffo's towing serviced on October 27th. They towed my vehicle to my work place, and as the tow truck driver was raising the vehicle the driver started pulling the vehicle from the wrong place, and ripped the bottom of the vehicle. After the driver stated he did cause the damage, they told me to reach out to the claims department over email. And even after showing the evidence of ***** and the driver saying they will cover it, Jasmine from claims department is refusing to approve the claim.Initial Complaint

On December ******* on the way home I experienced engine problems on my way home.on December ******* I called my road side assistance from carmax and they sent yaffo towing out . However the driver didnt know how to use the tow bar to the vehicle which was a 2013 Jaguar XJL so he pulled the vehicle on the tow need by something underneath the car. The driver then takes the vehicle to Jaguar in ******** IL. As of late Jaguar finally got an engine for my vehicle because it was back dated. So jaguar puts the engine in and try to test drive and they cant because the tire rod end is broken and so as the rack and pinion from the tow. ****** at hinsdale reached out to me about the repairs that needed to be made because of the tow so I contacted YAFFO claims department, I sent everything they asked me for and they respond days later saying theyre not liable for my vehicle. Yaffo towing never sent and inspector to inspect the vehicle at Jaguar In ********, my service advisor from Jaguar say that he never heard from them. Never even reached out the certified technician that was working on my vehicle. So just want The responsible party which is Yaffo towing to fix my vehicle. And the cost for that was $ ***** dollars. They told me to go thru my insurance and theyll provide my insurance company for any information. I told my insurance agent what they said and he told me that my insurance company (State Farm) wont cover damages caused by another company. So I dont know what to do. I have checked the attachments of this complaint. These text messages were from the roadside. These SMS texts did not come from us. We were honest with the customer, the delay was caused from the roadside. We always update customers when there is any delays. I have investigated and can confirm those messages were from roadside assistance. Please take into consideration that we were not at fault.

The towing company was secured by our insurance company Allstate to move a van from our driveway to a body shop. The tow truck driver came about an hour earlier than the appointment time when no one was home. I arrived home after the van was already loaded on the tow truck. After the tow truck drove away my neighbor across the street showed me the damage the tow truck driver did to his lawn by driving onto it. He and his wife witnessed the driver drive onto his lawn at one point. I filed a claim the Yaffo towing for his lawn to be repaired due to the tire treats that displaced dirt and made ruts while ripping up the grass. Yaffo towing has refused to pay for the repairs. I contacted ******* **************** at ******************************************* and provided images of the damage. The estimate for repair I was given via text was "Its roughly between $250-300. We are bringing going new sod and dirt to level everything again." He initially didn't want to provide the estimate over the phone because he wanted to give a low estimate. However, without my neighbor home I did not want him to show up on my neighbor's property for an inperson estimate.Business Response

Regarding this tow that was set up with Allstate, we unfortunately did not receive any special instructions nor was this tow set up for a specific time. Allstate did in fact inform us that this was an unattended tow. So naturally our driver dealt with the unattended tow how we always do, by towing the vehicle once the vin # is verified. In this case, the vehicle was at the correct home address with the keys in the ignition. We did reach out to the customer to verify all the information, which the customer again stated that the vehicle was unattended and the keys were in the ignition. Now regarding the claims of my driver damaging the grass, they were never denied. In fact the driver gave the property owners a business card and informed them to reach out to a supervisor to take care of any damages made. When the customer contacted ******** Landscaping, it was done via phone. If the customer agrees, we would like bring our own landscape company in person to do an estimate and do the repairs for the damages. However, the customer kept denying any attempt of someone showing up for an in person estimate for a reason they would not provide. They insisted on us paying a $250-$300 fee without providing a written estimate and wanted us to go based off of a message from a so called company stating that the repairs would roughly be between $250-300. In those text messages the customer also said "even if the estimate is high what would it be" insinuating that the estimate given before wasn't high enough. We informed the customer that we can not pay for a verbal estimate provided by the customer without any documentation from the landscape company that excludes text messages. Again, the customer continues to deny us coming out to the property to fix the damages. If the customer is willing to give us documents (written estimate, done in person) or allow our landscaping company to come to the property, we have no issues with fixing the alleged damages done by my driver.Customer Answer

On Saturday march 16th, I needed roadside assistance called my **** Co. National General. that was at 6:08 PM. I was shortly sent a message that Yaffo Towing provided them with the quickest "RESCUE" time 7:15 to 7:25 PM. within 20 minutes I was contacted by ***** towing asking for me to pay the difference(the portion of the tow not covered by insurance) ***** plus a 5.00 fee for using a credit card. I waited until between 8:30 and 9 PM. Then called ***** towing.They apologized and stated they could SCHEDULE a pickup for the following morning at 7AM. I agreed in good faith. At 7 AM I called ***** and asked if we were still on for 7AM, they said yes and they would have the driver contact me immediately. I waited an hour and at 8AM. No word from the company nor the driver. I then cancelled the tow and called a local private company that showed up within the hour. The next day MONDAY, I tried to contact the company but they dont take calls. They just said LEAVE A MESSAGE and we will call you back. A called again later and had the same experience. Here its 4 days later and still never received a call. I talked to a few people in the business and they said its the way some of these companies do business. They take the tow with no intention of providing the service to capture money without providing any sort of service. Which I now understand is the reason they dont take calls from the general public or past customers. They are almos65 miles away. Why would they give me such a short pickup time and why would they want to travel 65 miles to perform a service. My answer is they never had any intention of providing a service and scammed me out of my cash.Business Response

A tow truck was ordered for my father yesterday by ****************** after his car broke down on the side of expressway. This company called my father and asked for payment from him upfront, rather than through the insurance, which is against policy. After receiving payment, my father waited 5 hours on a dark road with a dead car and no tow arrival. My dad made multiple calls to Yaffo and was told every time it would be another jour until arrival. At that time, I got involved and contacted Allstate. The insuance rep contacted this company again after several calls, and Yaffo informed the insurance that the truck had just spotted my father and was approaching. 40 minutes later, no truck had arrived and Yaffo was hanging up on our attempted calls. My father waited a total of 6 hours, 4:30PM to 10:30 PM, and received no service. The next day, Yaffo informed my father that Allstate cancelled the service and that is why no truck came. As noted by Allstate, the service was only cancelled at 10:30PM when I arranged another tow truck to arrive. Allstate also informed me that multiple clients have complained about this same situation occurring, and Allstate has officially filed a complaint with Yaffo as well. I would like to ensure my father receives a refund and apology from this business, and I would like to ensure that this company is not scamming clients.Business Response

Regarding ****************** tow, we already apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded the $52.85 that they paid prior to cancellation of the tow. Unfortunately we were a bit delayed due to miscommunication and the amount of calls on the board. The call did end up being cancelled before the timing that ****************** claims, hence the reason why the driver never showed up and the money was refunded. On 1/14/2024 I called my roadside assistance to tow my car to a repair shop, and Yaffo Towing was sent to tow my car. I was told that the repair shop was notified and I also called to leave a message confirming this, because they were not open on Sunday, but they did not have an answering machine. The next morning, 1/15/2024, I called the repair shop, and they told me that my car was double parked in two handicap spots and A Towing Service retrieved my vehicle. The price to retrieve my car was $242.00. I attempted to call Yaffo Towing for reimbursement as the tow was a direct result of being parked in a handicapped space, and they told me since I contacted them through my roadside assistance I would have to go through them. I have attempted to contact my roadside service but am not able to make a claim for this unique issue.Business Response

On 1/14/2024 we towed the customers car to ********** We did inform the customer that the location might be closed and asked if he still wanted it dropped off there, which he said yes to. The customer was also at the drop off location. The customer told my driver to place the vehicle in the parking spot right in front of the business. Once my driver dropped the vehicle off and left the customer then called the driver and asked if he can drop off the vehicle somewhere else instead. We informed him that it would be considered another tow since we have already reached the original destination. The customer then decided to keep the vehicle as is. As for the vehicle being double parked in two handicap spots, we are not aware of this nor did the customer mention it when he called my driver to request the vehicle be taken to another location.

I am rejecting this response because:I was not present at the drop off location or when my vehicle was picked up. After calling for the towing company my partner drove me home and I fell asleep while waiting for confirmation of the tow, with plans to drop off my keys at the ********* shop in the morning. I had called them to inform them my vehicle was coming in but they did not have an answering machine. While I was asleep, the tow driver called me and texted me to ask about the location of my vehicle. After I woke up, I replied to the message and called the tow driver back. He confirmed that he was able to find my vehicle and that he dropped it off. I was not *********** was parked in handicap nor was I present when my vehicle was towed or dropped off. I also did not request for my vehicle to be moved to a new location. I have attached a screenshot of the driver asking for the location of my vehicle which shows I was not present at the time.

Requested a tow via roadside assistance through State Farm at 9:47A on 1/17. It is 8:29A on 1/18 and still no tow. Understanding inclement weather conditions do slow things down; but they dont stop business or life. The company being backed up as the customer service representative stated, is no fault or constellation to the consumer who is in an emergency situation or time of need that requires a tow. Tow was supposed to arrive at 1:18 at the latest. No call no show. I called this place numerous times and was met with not only rudeness and terrible customer service, but downright dishonesty and disrespect. I ended up having to get my agent involved to call and finally at 3:16 (remind you, service department at dealership closes at 5 which representative was already aware of as State Farm made sure to disclose this information to them so the vehicle would get to where its going in a timely manner) they told us 36 minutes and here it is 17 hours later and still no tow. Received a confirmation text last night stating the vehicle would be picked up today for sure between 5-7A , spoke with yaffo this morning and was told at 6:43 a driver would be reaching out in 30 mins or less. Now it is 8:34A still no tow still nothing but lies from the company and the last phone call made from State Farm at 8:08, the company did not even answer the phone for them and the agent called 3x back to back. So they collected $210 from me yesterday via credit card still no tow and still no answers and Im still without a car. Im a single mom of two I am a nurse I missed work waiting on these people took off work and everything because theyre literally ruining my life right now and slowing myself and my kids down. They couldnt even get to school because I had no car yesterday. They took my money and still have not picked this car up. This is HORRIBLE business its past bad. We do apologize to all of our customers who had to wait during the freezing whether for us to service their cars. In this case, her roadside cancelled this order and we did not get paid. The customer paid her roadside directly, we were hired by her roadside as a third party. As you can see in the attached invoice, we did not get paid for this since it was cancelled by Agero. The timing of this service was the day that the roads were icy and the whether was below zero. The vehicle was at the customers home and so was she. We were getting all the emergency calls to get accidents and vehicles that were stuck on the highway. We did inform the customer of the situation and let her know that there are calls that came in before hers that are emergency calls and we need to attend to them first. Again we did not get paid for her service. If she wants to be compensated for what she paid her roadside, she needs to contact her roadside. Thank you.
