On 4/27/2023 I took my car to get fixed to Chicago ************ Repair and they charged me $3000 to Repair my car after an accident. They told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to have it repaired. It is 01-03-2024 and the only thing they keep saying is for next week and come back next week and Ill call you next week. It has been significantly more time than the 2-3 weeks that they told me at the beginning and my car is still not fixed.

I filed a BBB complaint with my auto insurance for failing to get my car repaired in a timely manner. They brought my car to *** Auto Body Repair a day or two after filing the complaint. I was called by **** that my insurance had dropped off my car at her body shop to get repaired and that they told her to expedite the repairs and that she needed me to drop off the check that the insurance gave so that she can order the parts to get my car fixed. When I dropped off the check she told me once again that the insurance asked her to expedite the repairs to my car. It seems like she doesnt know what expedite repairs means because its now the end of October and I still havent gotten my car back. She did say that it would take a couple weeks, which I understood at the time. After not hearing anything from them for about a month I drove by one day on the way to work and saw that my car was parked outside and it did not seem to have been touched at all in that month. I told my dad and he stopped by a few days after to see what was up. **** had told him that the reason that my car hasnt been touched was due to being short staffed. That kept being her response the first few initial visits we went to see how the repairs were going. After that her response would be that shes waiting on parts to arrive. After that she would keep saying that itll be ready in a day or two, but that wont be the case. We would go back and the same issues that needed fixing were not fixed. I attached pictures that my dad took today after going to see how the repairs going.

The customer indeed brought vehicle for ***********************, and it has been taking a bit due to being short staff, and due to some parts being on back order... the customer came to take a look at the vehicle and as he himself stated IT IS NOT READY there fore the pictures he took are not the final product. We are 90% done but we still need minor details, such as LH front seat, right front door mirror, buffing and final inspection. I will let the customer know once the vehicle is ready for delivery, after covid it has been difficult to get people to work, and some parts are on national back order, but it should be ready soon

This is a repair shop my old insurance company told me to take my car. The check was sent to ***************** Repair in January of 2022. I kept attempting to take my car in they kept stating they didnt have space. Finally I was told I could bring my cap in April 18, 2022 and that it would take a week for repairs. They had my car for 4 weeks without doing any work to it. After calling the insurance company I picked up my car and told them to give me the check that the insurance company gave them so that I could find another repair shop this was on May 20,2022. I went back there to try and get the check they begged me to bring my car back on May 23, 2022 and they would have the repairs done by the end of the week. It is now June 7, 2022 and I still dont have my car. They wont answer the phone when I call and I fear the repairs havent been started again. I need help

Customer indeed has his vehicle here for ***********************, and is well aware of the shortage of employees and that we are behind on work... When claims was approved he had an appointment to bring vehicle in and claimed he needed it and lost his place and did not bring back till 2 months later.. customer did take his car but brought it back because the other shops affiliated with his insurance company were backed up as well and did not have appointments till september-december... NO ONE begged him to bring it back.. This vehicle is scheduled for paint for 6/11/2022 and delivery of monday 6/13/2022... If customer wants to come and check progress he is more than welcome to do so.. I have personally spoken to the customer and kept him updated on the progress of the repair process...Customer was here personally a few days ago and I spoke to him as well....

I am rejecting this response because: its 6/14 and my car is still not ready. Instead of calling me for my car on 6/13 they called me and informed me because I reached out to the BBB they will no longer be giving me a discount which is wrong because the reason they gave me a discount was because they had my car for so long I just want to know when will the car be ready.

    Sincerely,

    Daeynon Ray

Customer was here to pick up his vehicle and claims he DID NOT file a complaint with BBB, it was his mom who did and he would take that up with her... Customer was aware that he did have to pay his deductible, and betterment for prior damages on repairs to doors. We did out of courtesy for taking longer than expected with his vehicle replaced his rear bumper and left side door mirror, which is at least 800 worth, and he still wanted additional discount??? Customer was aware of the shortage of employees and or parts due to the current situation... I tried accommodating the customer as much as I could but the more I did the more he wanted...
