      My experience, in general, with Bank of the West in ************, ******** has been quite positive. Most recently *******, the asst ******** quickly solved an issue for me with genuine kindness!

      Have a car loan with BMO. Cannot make extra payments on principle. Also, do not understand how the change the interest on loan each month. one month it is $42, than $76 and the next month it is $57? They do not have an answer. It is very wrong in what they do. No one you talk to can help or have answers. I am trying to refinance with my credit union asap! Please if you read this do not work with them, you will lose money and lots of headaches.

      One of the absolute worst banks to deal with! They deserve 0 stars. They give you the run around when confronting them to fix things. They apply loan payments completely wrong and do not want to fix their mistakes what so ever! They apply extra payments to push your due date out instead of applying them to principal like requested to get more money out of the customer. There is a guy named **** that is flat out freaking rude. Stay away at all costs not worth the freaking hassle every month!!!

      Absolutely terrible customer service. I have a loan with ******************** that all of a sudden was not accessible via online account. I used to be able to view my loan on online and then one day when I tried to login in, it said "you don't have any accounts to display". I tried to call several times over the last month to get help via phone and waited in excess of an hour everytime. I finally got through to their online help line and they told me it needed to be handled by their loan department. So I was transferred there and waited for almost another hour. When they finally picked up, I was told the ************************ line would help me. Now I finally got in touch with them and they told me to go back to the LOAN DEPARTMENT!!!!!!! So I complained and asked for a manager so I could finally get some help. The woman put me on hold once. She checked back in with me to let me know it would be a few more minutes but then she just hung up on me!!!! I cannot express how frustrating it is when companies don't know their own policies and procedures and then leave their customers to handle it. Never bank with Bank of the West and I will be refinancing my loan to move somewhere else just so I never have to deal with this again.

      We bought a boat this summer and did a portion of our financing through this bank. They said they have mailed 2 statements to our home and we have not received them. A customer service rep called us (Badge ID#******* collecting payment which we made. We asked her if we would be getting an email, payment book or something else since we werent getting their mailings. She said no, we have mailed out 2 statements already and that we could go online and create an account. So I began to do this and she became impatient with us while we began the initial steps. She kept speaking very fast and was ******* us while we tried to complete the new online account process. Ultimately we were lucky enough to get the name of the bank and a loan number just to figure the rest out on our own. Hopefully this company actually listens to their recorded lines which came in on August 12, 2022 at 7:38 EST and lasted 27minutes because you will see that this position is not suitable for her. Hopefully the remainder of our $26K loans goes much better or we will be seeing more of these reviews. 1st impressions are lasting impressions.

      Bank of the west is a terrible and unprofessional company. They are an excuse of a banking company. I recently did a HELOC through them which that process alone was a nightmare. I dealt with so many unprofessional employees, it was sad. Then months later when the funds were finally available in my bank of the west account, I tried to transfer them to a real bank like chase and they immediately froze my account. After calling and waiting they unfroze it but I had to make smaller transfers which take forever and on top of that they charge me fees every time for transferring my own money. Think bank is a complete joke.

      I don't have an account but the company I worked for does. Was issued a check and I can't cash it anywhere nor could I deposit it. I've called customer service several times just to be put on hold for several minutes to hours. And when I finally get to talk to someone she was no help whatsoever. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a bank and I don't even have an account. I do not recommend this bank to anyone.

      I am very aggravated with BMO Bank, I have made all my loan payments on time and most of the time early. They keep calling and stating they have not received the payment for the month of June or May. I faxed them a copy of the payments to the number they provided twice and emailed a copy to an email address they provided. They keep stating they didn't receive an email or fax. I tried to contact them over the phone numerous times and keep getting transferred or disconnected. ******** services is terrible and they have turned me over to a collections. I just don't know what else to do.

      I thought this bank would be reliable and honest after hearing advertisements sounding good but found out very different after opening savings and checking. I took proceeds check ( made out from title company) from sale of my home to bmo to open these accounts and was told there would be a 24 hour hold on partial amount of check, being aprox $****. I understood and also understood remainder of the $18000 would be available in 7 days. Asked when I can make out check the ******************************************* morning, no problems. I am needing money for opening trust account so was depending on some of the money being available next day.The next money my savings and checking had 0 balance! I immediately called and they said there was an error that my whole amount will be held for not 24 hours nor 7 days as stated to me but 10 days!!! Unbelieveable! This has caused an upset with attorney and trust account and with others I was going to pay others for moving expenses! This is very unprofessional and rediculous that a check from a title company needs to be held for 10 days! Please help! This BMO bank is in ******* ** and I hope others will see how unreliable and dishonest these bankers are to consumers!

      Have an auto loan with these guys. Due date is the 9th of the month with a 10 day grace ******* Last month payment was made an the 15th and money taken our of my account on the 18th, ahead of the expiration of the grace ******* They held on to my money for three days before they posted to my account and then charged me a late fee.In doing some research, they have settled class action suits because they have fraudulently created fee income through fraudulent methods such as this.
