I reached out to this company as soon as i got the letter to come up with a settlement in order to satisfy the debt. I also sent multiple letters and simply asked for a response in writing so that i can set things up to begin the settlement process, i never received a reply and the debt was reported and i did all of this well within the 30 timeframe prior to anything being reported but it was reported anyway.

Harvard Collection claims a $2350 debt on account ****. They list no monthly payment. They have never contacted us. We discovered this while trying to refinance. We called them today. They refused to give us any info but demanded we give them all of our personal info. Which we did not do. When we asked to speak with management the conversation became rude and defensive. We want this false claim removed from all 3 reports immediately.

      Business response

      07/06/2022

Thank you for reaching out to us to resolve this matter.

The account was placed with us by our client on March 15, 2021. A notice was mailed to the consumer on March 23, 2021. As is our practice, when we speak to a consumer, we attempt to verify we have reached a correct party by verifying specific information, last four of a social security number, partial street address or date of birth.  We regret that the attempt to ensure we had the correct party did not go well, however it is done for the consumers protection.  As a result of the complaint, we have submitted the account for credit deletion.

If the consumer wishes to resolve the account, they may contact our office to discuss the matter.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us at ************.

I believe the **** of ******* and some "collection" agencies are sharing data that lacks integrety, has no detail and is wrong and allowing 3rd parties to spy, interpret reports or data incorrectly and harass and bully individuals (elderly, rural and of certain races/ethnicities). Harvard Collection Agency is one. It started immediately after signing up with I-Cash portal through the state of ******** and unclaimed property databae. It is clear people are data mining and sharing data that is not even accurate or up to date or clear with these "collection" folks. The harassment started and was under the name of ***/State of ********. I was never notified I owe by anyone from *** or any other entity that I owed the State of ******** taxes of ***** NOR should I pay any fees. After I complained to the **** I got a collection letter in the mail from Harvard Collection Agency demanding ***** Plus interest (for what?) and Collection fee of $5.82). I believe they are watching my personal checking accounts, tax and personal tax data and my other private data which should not be happening. Perhaps they are buying this data or information which lacks integrity and is not clear, is wrong and exploitive. I dispute this and the Collection letter they just sent me (received 4/1/22) did not even have a tax year. I believe they are using my social security number, bank account info and tax info and using data they should not be.If they are affiliated with the **** of ******* or Treasurey, they are not representing themselves or their business correctly. The 1st two bills/letters were from the *** and never at any time showed Harvard Collections Services on it.When I tried to call the numbers (there were multiple ones), noone answered. I do not owe this. I did leave a company ********************** in December, 2020 and was refunded this small amount I believe for some tax.Perahps the files and data this 3rd party is using is not up to date, incorrect or lacks
