Transform Credit has been continually implementing this practice and not resolving issues causing great stress and is unprofessional at best and causing me financial harm.A loan account I have has an auto pay every month from my bank account to ********************. Over the last 2-3 months I set up and ACH to transfer more funds and pay off the loan more quickly, saving me the 35% interest on the balance. The interest is calculated daily and charged to my account.I have had to chase them each time I do an ACH, rather than auto pay, to get them to recognize the payment and reduce the balance and calculate interest properly. When they call me and I dont answer, then I try to call back it gives some lame auto response system that doesn't let me get through to anyone!! I have had it, get me a real number of an executive today, I am escalating this again. This is the last email I sent. Please see below, this payment was made on DECEMBER 22, 2023. Get it credited to the account now and remove the interest associated with the difference in the balance. I am calling the BBB to make ANOTHER REPORT about Transform Credit.Electronic Bill *** to Transform Credit -$500.00 Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*)From:************ Checking (*****) Posted:12/22/2023 Transaction will appear on your statement as:ELECTRONIC BILL PAY LB11ZCU9 TRANSFORM CREDIT XXX2415 The below amount is just this payment amount, yet I am paying enormous interest and they must accept this each time I make an ACH ***ment and update the balance promptly.

      Dear ******,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns regarding your loan account with **********************. I understand that recent experiences have caused you stress, and I assure you that resolving this matter efficiently and satisfactorily is our priority.

Regarding the processing of your payments, we strive to apply all payments to customer accounts as swiftly as possible upon receipt. It has come to our attention that some payments initiated as ACH transfers were processed by your bank as bill payment checks. Unfortunately, this method involves physical mailing, leading to an inevitable delay in these payments reaching us and being applied to your account. I want to clarify that this delay in application was a result of the payment processing method chosen by your bank, not by any actions on our part.

To mitigate future delays and ensure a more seamless experience, we have provided you with a direct link for making payments on our website. Payments made through this link are processed as immediate ACH transactions, which should result in prompter application to your account.

Understanding the inconvenience and frustration this situation may have caused, and although the delays were beyond our control, we have decided to write off the interest accrued during the latest delay period. This gesture is our way of acknowledging the situation and your patience during this period. We hope this adjustment demonstrates our commitment to your satisfaction and our willingness to support you.

If there is anything more we can do to assist you, or if you need further clarification on any matter, please feel free to reach out. We are here to support you and ensure your experience with Transform Credit is a positive one.

      Warm regards,

There is an account from "**********************" reporting on my 3 credit bureaus that I owe a loan for $3,100, I dispute this debt. The account # is **********. I do not owe any monies for this loan, because I have NEVER received a loan from this company. I have not physically walked into this business nor have I have signed any documents to receive a loan/check/deposit of ANY SORT. Where is the tracking # for a check, if one was mailed? What account and routing numbers was this "loan" deposited into, if one was deposited into my account? Also, there were 2 payments being reported in November and December 2023, for $5, how was these payments made? What card number was used? What account number was used? This account is fraud and needs to be deleted immediately. I am contacting the ************************************ and Georgia's ************************* due to this matter. If need be, I will forward this matter to my attorney and move forward with a lawsuit for numerous state and federal violations with FRAUD at the forefront.

This all started back in 10/ 2023. Im a cosigner on a loan (# ******DUCK) from Transform Credit (TC). The loan went into bankruptcy protection **** a few years ago by the original signer but was dismissed in 10/ 2023. Now TC is asking for amount due PLUS fees and penalties that should have been stopped when the loan went into *** They have requested the full total amount of $7361.89. *** asked numerous times for the original and signed (e-sig) paperwork but all I received was boiler plate sections of a contract. Now they want to settle for $5889.52, which is over the amount that was due prior to going to into *** The amount prior to ** was around $3500+. Im not sure of the actual amount because they cant provide this info. Since receiving that email settlement (with letter attached) on 12/15, Ive reached out almost everyday with my counteroffer of $3500+ since they cant provide original paperwork. Ive emailed (collections@transformcredit) and called the number on the settlement email ************* opt 2) with no response. In-fact, the number provided is automated and there is no opt 2 available. The settlement is only good until 12/29 and I still havent received any response. The letter comes from Berginie Botero (Head of Collections). Im trying to pay this loan off based on the amount prior to going to *** I received a letter in the mail today (12/26) dated 12/21 of the letter that was emailed to me on 12/15. Clearly the dates are different from the attached letter (12/15) that was sent via email to the mailed letter (12/21). Even though my emails date back to 12/17 with my counteroffer. This just shows that they dont even look at emails. I really need help resolving this issue. Thank you.

      Dear *****,

Thank you for your communication concerning the loan you co-signed with Transform Credit. I appreciate the opportunity to address and clarify the points you've raised.

Id like to begin by discussing the loan balance and its progression. When the original borrower entered bankruptcy protection, our collection efforts were paused in compliance with legal requirements. However, the loan agreement continued to function as per its original terms. This means that while we were not actively collecting payments during the bankruptcy period, the loan still accrued monthly payment obligations. These aren't additional fees or penalties but simply the scheduled payments that continued to accumulate over the time of non-payment, which spanned several years. As a policy, we never add late payment fees or penalties to any of our consumer loans as, unlike many lenders, we believe it to be counter-intuitive in helping consumers pay down their debts.

Regarding the balance, the amount prior to the bankruptcy was approximately $4,481, not $3,500 as you mentioned. This figure has increased due to the accumulation of these scheduled payments over the period of bankruptcy protection and beyond, resulting in the balance of $7,361.89.

Your request for the original signed paperwork has been duly noted and addressed. We provided the documents in response to your request. I apologize if the format was not as expected initially, and appreciate your patience as we rectified this promptly. After we provided the contract, we did not receive further correspondence from you until your recent engagement regarding the settlement offer. All communication up this this point was timely by Transform Credit.

Regarding the settlement offer, we extended the opportunity for you to settle your loan at a reduced amount as a goodwill gesture, aiming to provide an amicable resolution. We understand there was a delay in responding to your counteroffer, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused. This has been internally reviewed to improve our responsiveness and service.

I'm relieved to hear that we have since been able to resolve your concerns and reach a mutually agreeable settlement. This resolution, including a considerable saving on your part, was made in the spirit of goodwill and understanding.

As such, we believe this matter to now be resolved. Should you have any more questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

      Warm regards,
      Complaints Team

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Let me just state that I have been communicating with Transform Credit via email and calling the number provided in the settlement letter I received. The option given in the letter after dialing the number provided, was not an option in their automated system. The emails I sent were not addressed and I know for a fact that the emails were sent to the correct email address because I never received a bounce back on ANY of the emails. I'm glad this issue was resolved with the help from the BBB.

This business somehow illegally approved me for a loan without my authorization or knowledge. They fraudulently issued me a loan and keep reporting it to all 3 credit agencies as delinquent. This is a loan I did not take out or authorize and this account was flagged by my credit monitoring company as fraudulent.

I inquired about a personal loan on line thinking that it was the actual loan company, but it turned out to be a referral, so this company was one of the companies that sent me possible loan offers, but stated that I needed a co-signer through email. I declined the suggestion of adding a co-signer and unsubscribed from this company along with about 100 other companies that my one request was sent. Not one time did I ask for any credit building services at anytime, because I was seeking alone only. When **** was removed from my account today, I emailed this company, that referred me to an automated machine requesting information that I had never have them and refused to give them this information about our relationship. I have come to find out that they have committed wire fraud by taking my money without permission since 11/2023 making this the 2nd illegal transaction from my account

      Hi ******,

We can see this was resolved internally where your concerns were addressed and your desired outcome met. Whilst we reiterate that it is not possible for an account to be created without a customer's explicit agreement, we recognise the confusion you experienced having been made several offers via the introducer that referred your loan application to us and possibly being unclear on the services you eventually decided to proceed with. Although no fault of transform Credit, we recognise this as a flaw in your application journey and the confusion this would have led to. As a result, we were happy to close down your account given your suggestion that this was non-intentional on your behalf. Any payment you made we have refunded as a gesture of goodwill.

If you require further help, please let us know.

      Many thanks,

This company has been over charging the interest amount on my loan payments. They are only applying a fraction of my loan payments towards my loan balance. They need to be investigated. They are committing fraudulent behaviors including over charging the interest amounts on loans, charging people for services they did not sign up for, not reporting payments, and lying about how their loan services work. Once they are investigated there will likely be a lot of findings that corroborate this report. Please have someone investigate this company. They should not be allowed to continue to take advantage of people.

      Business Response

      Date: 01/03/2024

      Dear *******,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and we apologize we were unable to respond earlier. We take customer concerns seriously and are happy to provide you with any clarification required on your loan.

Firstly, we understand that the details of loan repayments and interest charges can sometimes be complex, but we can assure you that interest has been charged on your loan exactly in line with your loan agreement. However, we are able to provide you with clarity in understanding the method in which interest is applied to your loan, which we believe *** have led to some confusion.

The structure of your loan is based on simple interest calculations where the interest is calculated daily on the outstanding principal. Given this structure, the interest component of our payments made will be naturally higher at the start when the principal is at its highest, and it reduces significantly as the loan progresses. This is a common feature of many loan products. The payments made to date have been applied first to the interest, then to the principal, as disclosed and agreed upon in the original contract. As the loan progresses, towards the end of the loan, the weight is tipped so that payments are applied mostly to principal and much less to interest. Most importantly, you do not end up paying any more interest than agreed upon as a result of this and you are not being overcharged.

Further, the interest portion of your payment is not the same as any one months accrued interest that is applied to your loan - which you can also verify on your statement which we have emailed you a copy of separately.

Having interest accruing daily on the balance of your loan also brings benefits to you as it means you only pay interest for the time you have the loan. Even making small overpayments every month from early on in the loan can bring the interest on the loan down quite a lot over the lifetime, as the balance will be lower than expected due to the extra payments. Further, unlike many lenders, we never charge late fees and we allow customers to pay their loan off early with no penalties.

As for the reporting of payments, I can confirm that we have been consistently reporting your loan to Experian, a leading credit bureau in *****************. This reporting reflects the payments made and is a crucial part of maintaining an accurate credit history. You can independently verify this information by accessing your account on Experian's platform.

Please be assured that Transform Credit is a state-licensed lender and operates in full compliance with the lending requirements of each state we serve, as well as federal regulations governing our lending products. We undergo regular audits by State regulators in order to maintain our licenses.

In summary, we are unable to find any fault with your loan agreement and hope the above explanation clarifies the interest confusion. If there are other specific aspects of our service or your loan that you require further explanation of, we would be happy to assist you further.

As your loan is currently in arrears, we would also encourage you to call in so we can support you with getting your loan back on track to avoid any unnecessary consequences of the loan falling past due. There *** be options available to help which we would be happy to discuss further.

      Sincerely,
      Complaints Team

      Business Response

      Date: 12/31/2023

      Dear *********************,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand your concerns regarding your role as a co-signer on the loan with Transform Credit, ***** and I would like to address these issues.

Firstly, it's essential to clarify our approach to the co-signing process. At Transform Credit, we have a thorough and transparent loan payout process. While we state a preferable credit score of 750 or above for a co-signer on our website, this is a guideline rather than a strict cutoff. We consider the overall financial stability and credit history of potential co-signers. Your approval as a co-signer indicated that, based on the comprehensive information available at the time, you were deemed capable of fulfilling this responsibility.

This commitment was further affirmed through our mandatory verbal contract video call, where you verified, on video, your absolute comfort with the financial obligations of co-signing. The loan was disbursed to you based on this mutual understanding and the information you provided. If there is now a claim that the situation was otherwise, it brings into question the accuracy of the information you provided at the time of the loan agreement.

Understandably, financial situations can change, and I empathize with any current hardships. However, the role of a co-signer is to act as a safety net for the loan, ensuring its repayment even if the primary borrower is unable to meet their obligations. This commitment is a fundamental part of the co-signing process and is vital to the integrity of the loan agreement.

As a responsible lender, we rely on the honesty and accuracy of the information provided by our customers. We operate within the boundaries of responsible lending practices and make every effort to ensure all parties involved in a loan are aware and agreeable to the terms and responsibilities it entails. This is why we took the extra step to complete a recorded video call with you where we challenged your ability to repay and where you confirmed you were financially in good standing and were happy to co-sign. This was also verified further by the further automatic checks we performed on your financial information. Had you have suggested otherwise, you would not have received the loan from us to transfer over to *****.

In summary, while we empathize with any current financial difficulties you may be experiencing, we cannot agree in any way that based on the information available to us at the time, the loan should not have been funded to you.

However, we are always here to help you to come a reasonable solution in resolving the unpaid debt, should you be willing, to avoid consequences of the loan remaining unpaid such as court action. This is always a last resort and we do have options available for customers who are willing to come to a reasonable solution in getting the loan back on track.

Please reach out to us directly to discuss your options.

      Warm regards,

      Complaints Team,
      Transform Credit.

      Hi ******,??

      Thanks for your email.??

A Credit builder account can only be opened if you agree to it and our records indicate this was action taken on your part, in line with the information previously provided. Please check your records for the email we sent to you at 07:16:21 AM Nov 17 2023, to ********@gmail.com with a copy of your signed Credit Builder contract and details of your account, and how it could be managed. ??

We regularly send payment reminders and updates to ensure our customers are always aware of their financial commitments, as we did in your case, and so they have the ability to log in to their accounts and manage them independently. It would make little sense for us to communicate so regularly, if our intentions were less than honourable.

However, we appreciate that errors can occur and that there might have been a misunderstanding during your application process. Therefore, we are glad to see you were able to access your account and cancel it proactively. This means no payments were taken, and your account was affectively closed, before it started. ??I can confirm you no longer have an open account or application with us of any kind.

Should you require anything further, please let me know.

I was under the assumption that if I got the loan approved that I would have to pay the $5 a month. I was not approved. I called the company and they didnt answer multiple times. I called my bank to get the transactions canceled. That didn't work. If I can get my money back that would be great if not thats fine too. I just want the payments to stop. $45 from the company and $45 for a transfer fee from my bank from savings to checking.
