Multiple issues with billing. Was told they would escalate issue. Never seemed to happen. Spent HOURS on the phone with them to try to resolve the issue. Was promised that they would recycle the billing to post pone it going to collections while THEY resolve the issue on their end. Was told the supervisor would call me several times. Never got a call back. Supervisor refused to take my call. **************** rep deserves a raise since she works under this person who does not do their job. Supervisor said she would escalate the issue to upper management but at the same time the **************** rep told me it was resolved. It was clear that the Supervisor had no idea about my ongoing issue and if she did, I never heard from her or spoke to her.I want my debt from the debt collector to be pulled in good faith, have my account processed correctly, so my child can continue to receive mental health services from a provider that has no control over who DMG negotiates billing with. It will cause her to lose a patient and for my child to have disruption in receiving proper medical care. Ill be contacting the ** or President with a complaint as well.

In October of 2023, my son was admitted to ******************. His health insurance began the process of paying out claims to multiple providers. In November, I provided these insurance cards to ************************ but I continued to receive bills. SO I began trying to figure it out and I learned this: R1 RCM is MESSY and their process is stupid.I cannot stress enough the frustrating mess that the process is to deal with Ascension Medical Group's chosen billing company R1 RCM. Here's how it worked: I called the Ascension phone number, and one of the options was "To update your insurance information...." I selected that one. I was instructed to email a copy of the insurance card, which I did. In January. I received an email that I needed to send the information to another email. No worries, I get it - one's a facility, one's a medical group. So I did.Fast forward to March, and another email from R1 RCM with what I can only describe as the most confounding "checklist" - formatted so poorly that I couldn't figure out what they wanted because of the formatting. I sent as much info as I could figure out they wanted. Then came April and the same thing - another poorly formatted checklist, but I could sort of glean that they needed dates of service. So I provided those. Then came today. I received ANOTHER checklist saying I needed more info. Never any human contact ; this ill-constructed checklist is all I got. And what it said today: "BAD DEBT."It took me over an hour to find a phone number and actually SPEAK with a HUMAN who pulled it back from collections. R1 RCM - you're about the worst company I have ever dealt with. Let me put this out there - I am an educated person with good communications skills, and this was my experience. How's it working out for people with less skills? My guess is they're sent to collections because of this terrible process, and saddled with subsequent medical debt. Shame on R1 RCM and the providers that use them. SHAME.
