On September 8, 2022 I paid $800 towards a $1000 deposit to Hirsch Law Group located at ************************************************ in ******, ** via PayPal. Our agreement was $550 every 19th of the month. They was supposed to represent me in a court case that I have pending. My assign attorney, *******************************, was not at my first court date on September 23rd and someone else was in her place. I could not make my flight from ******** to ******** so I was not present either with resulted with me being issued a warrant. As the days got close to when the monthly payment was due they would get in contact with me about the payment, but never a call about my case. In October I fell ill with health issues, sciatica, in which affected my mobility and I was prescribed medication for the pain which made me drowsy a lot. During this time there was no communication until it was time for the November payment, in which I paid on time on November 19th. Once again no contact from them until I received a certified letter on December 11th for a court date in ******** for the 14th stating a motion to drop there services. They know I live in ******** and I tried to explain my health issues but ******************************* and the case manager would not hear it. I asked them since they are the ones dropping my case do I get any of my $2100 that I paid and they said no. I said can I get or see what work that was done and received rudeness and the run around. I call but my calls are not returned. I googled their reviews and I'm not the only person that this happened to that ******************************* is involved in. The issue is not resolved and I really need help because that $2100 was hard to come by with my health issues because I haven't been able to work and now I have to come up with more money to obtain a new lawyer. If you can help me or stir me in the right direction I will really appreciate it. Happy Holidays

We can't speak of the case specifically due to client / attorney confidentiality. But suffice it to say that it was nearly all of these bullet points below. We had no choice but to withdraw from cases like this. Per our retainer, we must get payments ahead of court, otherwise in most cases we don't get paid for our services rendered. We are always reachable. This client per his own comments shows that he did not take proper actions to help his case or allow us to do our job.

Hirsch Law Group (HLG) require our clients to

    -          Show up to court dates
    -          Communicate in a respectful manner with staff and lawyers
    -          Be available for attorney / client consultations
    -          Keep us apprised of change of address, email, or phone number
    -          Make payments on time as agreed upon

If the client fails to comply with these bare minimum requirements or fails to cooperate in a manner that allows us to perform our duty, we reserve the right to withdraw from the case and advise the client to find ***********.   I

    Best,

I am rejecting this response because: after I missed the court date, they still called for monthly payments and received them for October and November. October I had severe medical issues and should have communicated better but was not able to. It could've been communication on both sides. No change of address and the only late payment was the first by 2 days, but they called faithfully for payment and for me to sign the automatic payment. Once again still took all my payments without giving a call to say that they was dropping my case. I received notice by mail December 11th for court December 14th and I live in a totally different state. I know the deposit is nonrefundable but I should at least get my payments back. I think that is fair since their first reason was because I missed court.

    Sincerely,

While we sympathize with the clients issues, if they do not follow the basic requests as stated in my prior response, we can not properly represent our client to the best of our ability. The client never showed up for court, never made appointments, and never returned *********** calls. We still incurred costs to prepare for court, file motions, and preparing for withdrawal. We did everything in our power to represent the client, but when the client does not cooperate, it is common practice for law firm to withdraw. Thank you.
