      On Yesterday morning, I had my right front passenger cv axle replaced. They failed to do their job properly, when I was on my way straight back home after picking up my car. I've had noticed that I had got stalled along side of a major highway when i can't put my car back into gear I have to wait until a tow truck and a family member to pick me up. I've could of got either hurt or killed by their careless mistakes, and I'll never ever do business with them again I'll be going straight to Tires Plus they always do a great job.

      On February 10, 2025 I went to Jiffy lube to obtain a standard oil change. My oil and filters were changed resulting in a fee of $131.85. Later that evening my car stopped picking up speed and cut off. I have had no previous issues with my car before receiving this oil change. My car normally takes low mileage oil but the mechanic insisted on putting the high mileage oil in my car. Since this incident I am out of a vehicle and would like the situation to be corrected.

      I went to jiffy on 2/2/25 for an oil change only . Sat & waited in my car with it on /heat running . I was asked to pull to the yellow poles . I was on bed 2. I have come to this location before . Its now my turn to get serviced & I notice I knew the manager. Did not say anything. Goes to waiting area & as Im about to be seated I hear laughing so I look threw the little window every time an employee went near my car the manager started laughing. So he says drop bed 2 . Then the manager comes & ask me to put my info in the computer. I did that & I notice its really slippery by my car . They had tried to pick up a mess right in front of my car .Then he proceeded to walk away to a room on the left side of the store . The manager later brings the oil stick to ******** why I keep looking at him like that I say looking at you like how ?he says nevermind & walk off . So few later he says your car is ready I go ******** says heres your keys I go out to my car turn it on its smoking . I ask why is it smoking the manager says oh thats some run over to your engine it will burn off soon . I say ok get three blocks up south ******* & notice my heat was blowing out cold still so I asked about my heat the manager ***** proceeded to say oh you just got an oil change it should pop back in . Still nothing call on 2/3/25 the manager ***** says to bring the car in he would look at it . Brung the car in on to sit outside of the company. I then on 2/3/25 goes in to ask the employee who was working on bed 2 did he work on the 2014 Buick encore . The employee says no ***** told me he knew ******* figured you wanted him to work on your car . I say oh so he told you that infront of me ******* **** . ******* **** say they to have nothing In comparison so he doesnt understand but they will look at my car & fix it . Once MrMims left nothing was done to my car . ***** kept saying all they did was an oil change. How does my heat work before I get an oil change & now it doesnt .

      I went in November 11, 2024 for an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived the technician told me they don't offer tire rotation services. I informed him that the person on the phone said they did, after waiting for 15 minutes it was confirmed they did. I pull into the bay and go to the waiting room. After 20 minutes I'm told they can't find the tire lock, so I spend 10 minutes helping him look for it. We finally give up. Note that he had emptied my glove box contents out onto the passenger's seat but didn't put anything back. In the meantime I'm told I need a new air filter, so I get one (or so I thought). After I pay and get into my car I find the tire lock in the stack of papers he pulled out of the glove box. I return to tell him I found it and ask if he can rotate my tire, he says yes, so I drive back around to drop my car a 2nd time. Once they are finished rotating the tires I go to pay and request a courtesy discount for my patience. The clerk proceeds to argue with me and the technician who assisted me "shushes" me when I attempt to speak with him. I pay and leave. Today (1.8.25), 2 months later, I take my car into be serviced at the dealership and they inform me there is no air filter in my car. I called this location to discuss it and the person on the phone wasn't hearing it. ***** called me back a few hours later to take responsibility and offer a refund just for the filter. I requested a full refund for all services. They declined. So I declined accepting a partial refund given this may cause damage to my car in the future. I'm filing this complaint in case it does as documentation of their negligence.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I appreciate the response from Jiffy Lube #*** acknowledging the oversight and offering a refund for the missing air filter along with a complimentary oil change. However, I find the resolution unsatisfactory for the following reasons:

      1. Potential Damage to My Vehicle: The failure to install the air filter is not just an oversightit poses a significant risk to my engine. Without a properly installed air filter, harmful debris and particles could enter the engine, causing wear and potential long-term damage. This goes beyond inconvenience and reflects a failure to meet basic service standards, which directly impacts my vehicles performance and longevity.

      2. Issues with Tire Rotation: In addition to the air filter issue, the staff encountered difficulties locating the tire lock and completing the requested tire rotation. This added unnecessary delays and confusion to the service experience, demonstrating a lack of preparedness and thoroughness in their approach.

      3. Pattern of ******************* These multiple issuesfailure to install the air filter, mishandling of the tire rotation process, and general lack of thorough executionhighlight a pattern of substandard service. These problems undermine my confidence in the location's ability to provide professional, reliable automotive care.

      4. Inadequate Compensation: While I acknowledge the offer of a refund for the air filter and a complimentary oil change, this does not address the broader consequences of the service failures. A full refund for the entire visit is warranted, as the quality and completeness of the service I paid for were not delivered. Furthermore, I no longer feel comfortable returning for future services, making the offer of a complimentary oil change ineffective as a resolution.

      I kindly request that you reconsider my request for a full refund, given the multiple issues encountered during my visit and the potential risks to my vehicle. I hope this feedback helps address the root causes of these service lapses to improve customer care moving forward.

      Essentially, my elderly grandmother (subject of the claim) ran errands all morning this past Friday, 11/8, and then at shortly after noon, she went to Jiffy Lube (store #***). She waited in her vehicle in line for an oil change, and after some time, pulled her vehicle in - hovering over the rack. Once her oil change was complete, she proceeded out of the Jiffy Lube garage, and immediately out into traffic.When she tried to brake (pressing down all the way to the floor) her brakes werent working at all, causing her to have to drive across 4 lanes of traffic without being able to stop. She was finally able to get the vehicle slowed down enough after turning in a different direction to slow down momentum, and then throwing it into park. As she waited and gathered herself for about 10 minutes, she noticed her brake light illuminate on the ************ be clear, she indicated her brakes had been working all the way up until she pulled in and parked over the oil change rack, and that her brake light had never come on in her entire time owning the vehicle. Needless to say, she was scared and stressed out of her mind as she rolled across 4 lanes of traffic without being able to stop. Her car has since been towed to her house, and of course shes unable to drive it.Given the fact, however, that her brakes were working quite well immediately before her Jiffy Lube service, and werent working at all immediately after, it prompted me to reach out to the store location to inquire more about what may have happened during service.***** (the store manager) answered the phone. He was initially pretty polite, but when I began explaining the reason for my call, he immediately got defensive. He kept cutting me off, talking over me, and he refused my simple request for the contact information for the District Manager. I alternatively requested information for the business's attorney (since I am both granddaughter AND an attorney), and this seemed to make matters worse.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      The business is completely blowing off the fact that the brakes were functional all the way up until they serviced the vehicle and completely inoperable after. Moreover, it was clear that the brake fluid had completely leaked out within 10 minutes of service completion - and at no time before. Additionally, part of the services performed (e.g., an oil change and other fluid checks) involved going under the cars hood where brake fluid access is also located. It is highly plausible that those servicing the vehicle made a mistake. Instead of double checking with those in both the upper and lower bay, the manager immediately denied all liability on scene. Despite seeing that the vehicles brakes had been rendered inoperable.

      May 20th of 2024 I went to Jiffy Lube at ******************************* for an oil change. On June 30th 2024 I was driving my car and it started making noises and then the engine light and the oil light came on. I pulled over because I was on my way to the store I went in the store and came back out I started the car up again and the noise got louder and the lights came back on so I was about to drive to Jiffy Lube to let them know that my oil light should not be on. My car stopped on me on 55th and ************* I had to call for a tow service to come and take it home for me. On June 2nd I took my van to Midas on 74th and ************ and the technician there showed me where the whole bottom of my van was covered with oil, it had ran from the oil filter all the way to the back. He pulled out the dipstick and there was no oil on it and he told me that the oil had leaked out of my van from the oil filter. The only persons that touched my car was Jiffy Lube employees when they did the oil change. I did notify Jiffy Lube of this and they told me that when I left there my car did not have any oil leaking. And they told me that there was nothing they could do so I told them I would call corporate and file a complaint about this. And that's why I'm doing this because I need to know what to do my engine has locked up on me and I need a new engine in my van. I would really appreciate it if you all would help me to get a resolution to this problem.

      I am rejecting this response because: my complaint was not taken care of with Jiffy lube. The first picture is the diagnosis from the mechanic stating that the oil leaked out and was under the van, plus the dipstick had no oil on it. The other 2 pictures are of the sticker from Jiffy Lube stating the date of my oil was changed and what mileage I needed to have the oil changed again, the other one is the mileage now on my van. As you can see I still had over ***** miles before the next one was due.

      I am rejecting this response because: I truly understand why you would take the side of your employees. However, if they saw something wrong with my car they should never have touched it and they should have notified me of the problem. They did the whole oil change and a new air filter and did not say anything about any pre-existing conditions with my vehicle. That's why I feel as if you guys are responsible for what happened to my car I don't know if the guy did not twist the cap tight enough or what but you all are responsible for something that wasn't going on before I brought my car in there.

      Date of service was 12/29/2023 $200 was paid for the service. Was told $130 initially and then given up-charge at time to pay. I went into Jiffy Lube for an oil change and was upsold on a serpentine belt. I was told that my current belt was cracked, and that my car would not be drivable if I continued driving without replacement. I was told it would be no more than $130 for total services. Jiffy Lube replaced my belt and charged me $200. I brought my car back in on 12/30/2023 for compliant of a loud noise since yesterdays service. Without looking at my vehicle, I was reassured it was just because it was a new belt. On 1/01/2024 I drove to PopEyes near my residence. My car died out in the parking lot, and required a tow to get service. I was told that Jiffy Lube incorrectly replaced the belt, causing my water pump, radiator, and alternator to burst.Jiffy Lube not resolved this issue at all.

      Took my car for oil changed on the 06/24/2023 to jiffy lube at ***** ************* *******, ******* was changed but the oil filter was not place back ,so all the oil lack out from my car while driving I was even notified by a driver so I had to stop ,my car was tow down to ****** for check up and that's how it was notice that the air filter was place back after the oil changed by jiffy lube.       Jiffy Lube serviced my vehicle, a 2019 ******* Elantra, on November 14, 2022. On January 1, 2023 while driving on the highway my car made a popping noise. Before I could get to my destination a few miles from where the popping noise occurred, my engine oil light came on. I pulled over and seen that I was leaking oil from under my car. I immediately parked the vehicle and had it towed to ************* Dealership in ********, ******** a couple days later. The technician from the dealership says that my engine drain plug fell out of the engine and that is from whoever did my oil change. The technician at ************* said that Jiffy Lube didnt properly install my drain plug and therefore the drain plug popped off the vehicle. Due to all the oil draining out the engine the whole engine needs to be replaced. The technician at ************* said that my car engine is damaged and making a lot noise beyond a patch up job due to the engine being dry. I have called and put in a complaint to Jiffy Lube and the corporate office. The owner has yet to contact me to address this issue. ************* estimated a $7,800 estimate to replace my engine on my vehicle. Since Jiffy Lube was negligent with my repairs on the oil change they are responsible for replacing my engine. I really need some help with this because the owner of the Jiffy Lube is ignoring the situation at hand. I keep calling Jiffy Lube and they keep saying they reported the problem to their boss. They wont give me a name or any contact number on how to reach the owner of the establishment.

      I am rejecting this response because:None of what the Business Response has to do with my complaint. My drain plug fell out of my engine due to negligence on Jiffy Lubes part. I was told by several professional car mechanics that the only way that the drain plug could fall out my engine was because whoever did my oil change didnt properly install the drain plug into the engine. Jiffy Lube is the last business to do my oil change so theyre liable to fixing my vehicle. They did not install my drain plug back into my engine properly and that drain plug popped off my car the oil poured out my engine as I was driving to my destination. When I seen how much oil was leaking out, I immediately parked my car and had it towed to ************* Dealership in ********, ******** who explained to me this problem with my car. ************* Dealership is too telling me that Jiffy Lube is responsible for my drain plug popping off my engine. Because all the oil ran out my engine, the whole engine has to be replaced due to negligence on Jiffy Lube. I have provided the estimate that ************* provided.

      I am rejecting this response because:This matter has not been addressed.  My drain plug from my engine has popped out of my engine. Can they explain how this happened because its been explained to me by several mechanics that the only way to loose a drain plug from a engine is if it wasnt properly secured when I got my oil change. I really want this business to own up to their negligence on not replacing my drain plug properly. Due to me loosing my drain plug while driving, that damaged my engine to the point that it has to be replaced. I trusted my vehicle with this company to do a oil change and because of this mishaps on their part Im without a car. This business needs to take ownership ship of this problem and fix it!

      May 2022 I took my 2021 ******* Tucson to the jiffy lube on 107 halsted Franchisees #*** to be serviced with and oil change.Everything was well they service there was no issue with my car I was told that I would have to pay a little extra to get the ******* off the bottom of my car which was fine I pay for my services everything is great until a couple weeks later my engine is locked because the oil cap on my car had been missing. The day that my engine lock I got to the location to make a complaint then I call customer service to make another complaint I get a email stating **********'s case notes dated 6/24/22 states: When we serviced the customer's vehicle all procedural and quality assurance protocols were followed and our service center bears no responsibility for the condition of the vehicle. Based on the comments from your service invoice there were several pre-existing conditions on your vehicle which included: engine burning and blowing oil, sludge in engine, and oil level 3 quarts low prior to service. Meanwhile, we have updated your case information form to share your comments with the Franchisee of Store # ***; ******* **** dba Jiffy Lube. Please note, all Jiffy Lube service centers are independently owned and operated. I was not informed or had no knowledge of these preexisting conditions before or after I left the jiffy lube and now I keep calling and emailed plenty of times still nothing I have been with out a car for 3 months now and I feel its very unfair.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      This was a a brand new car that was being serviced and when I ask the gentleman that was working on my vehicle was everything ok and can I go he said everything was great have great day he never once expressed to me any of these preexisting problems after servicing my car or gave me any record stating that these where preexisting issues.
