On 07 Dec 23 I arrived at City Volkswagen Chicago to pick up my car. The service advisor informed me that they drove my car through a car wash and the brushes ended up ripping off my trunk spoiler panel that covered the wires. Upon further inspection I noticed the entire trunk spoiler was broken. They insisted the spoiler was already loose and did not want to pay for the damages but offered to go half on a new trunk spoiler even though they're at fault. On 08 Feb 24 I took my car into the dealership because it was having a hard time starting up. Originally they told me I had bad gas in my car then quickly suggested I needed a starter. On 15 Feb 24 I picked up my car and paid the service which was $1,029 dollars. Later that day I started to have the same exact problems I had the first time so I ended up dropping my car off the next day 16 Feb 24, so it can be looked at again. They admitted to misdiagnosing my car due to their mechanics incompetence of not being able to properly pinpoint the underlying issue that the car has. Now the dealership is charging me $1,100 dollars for an oxygen sensor and PCV valve. On 19 Feb 24 I spoke with a person whom I believe to be the service manager over the phone admitting he isn't 100 percent sure that the work that needs to be done with the car will completely fix the issues I'm having. He told me I might have to keep paying for whatever issues keep popping up because they're unsure of what is really wrong with the car. I asked for a refund for the work recently done on my car because I actually didn't need the starter. I was misled to believe I needed this work done. I'm very disappointed in the quality of service received by City Volkswagen Chicago.
