Purchased 2004 **** Explorer 10/17/24. 10/17, Asked ***(owner), when the last time it had an oil change and tune-up. He say "Don't worry about it. The vehicle will be serviced before you leave". Put $1700 down. Upon start up, the *** light was on. I asked *** about it. He said it was just a sensor that would be replaced when I came back to get the Key Fob. I drove half of a block, made a right turn, then the Service Engine Soon(***) light came on. Called, spoke to ***, who told me to bring it back the next day. 10/18/24 Dropped it off at 10:30a and picked it up after 4p. Was told by *** that they changed the spark plugs, completed the oil change, and replaced the *** sensor. (This let me know that they did not service the vehicle prior) The *** and *** light were off now, so I assumed the work was done. On 10/23/24, I had OReilly scan the truck with OBD Scanner and it reads 6 different engine codes. (This let me know the lights had been manipulated) I called and drove to the dealership several times to speak to ***, unsuccessfully. 11/01/24 Made my 1st payment of $400. *** agreed to replace the Mass Air Flow sensor, which was the recommended fix from the OReilly OBD scan, but I had to buy the sensor($53). On 11/08/24, the sensor was replaced and took all of 5 mins. Now, *** tells me he recommends I change the spark plugs and get an oil change. To which I reply, "But you told me you did that already". He says "I never said that". I asked "So, what work was done 10/18/24 to clear the *** light"? He retorts "Oh, well I don't stand over the mechanics while they work." Then I asked "Ok, so can I see the service record that shows what work was done"? *** tells me "There isn't one". (He has clearly been caught in a lie) I called several more times to speak to ***, explained situation to office manager, left several messages for *** and he has yet to get back to me. There is other work needed to this truck involving suspension that will cost over $1000.Initial Complaint

I recently went and purchased a vehicle that I have had yet to even drive. The vehicle does not drive Ive 35 ***** the max ***** it goes up to is 40 then after that it acts as if its wants to stop I went and gotten the vehicle put on the machine to see whats wrong with it and the whole total of the problem of the vehicle came up to ***** and some more dollars I been trying to return the vehicle do to the problems and they would not give me a refund neither another vehicle thats reliable and they continue to tell me they would fix the vehicle on certain days but when I arrive on the day they said they gonna fix the vehicle they keep saying another dayBusiness response

************** purchased her vehicle that was sold as is no warranties. We have tried to work with the customer to help with repairs to the vehicle. We have made numerous appointments for the customer all of which she failed to show up for. We have offered to take money off of her balance for work that needed to be done on the vehicle. ************** currently has another appointment set up for 1-18-2024 to have vehicle looked at. We are trying to get this issue rectified and have the customer satisfied.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Ive tried multiple times to get my money back the very next day they offered to fixed my vehicle I dropped my vehicle off to them to fix it for 7 hours I called them back just for them to tell me to come pick up the vehicle because the parts didnt come then after they told me to come back on another day just for them to tell me the mechanic wasnt there so he told me come back again and said to me he would try and work something out with me as far as getting money off the vehicle or trade the vehicle when I told him Ill trade he said he had no vehicles to trade I havent been able to work I do Uber for a living I havent been able to drive that vehicle it doesnt drive over 25 speed I even ask them to take the vehicle back and give me some of my money back they doesnt want to do that this has been a hassle and stressful my kids havent been to school I explain that to them as well I went and paid 100 dollars to see what was wrong with the vehicle the shop that I went to gave me an estimate of almost ***** dollars worth of work that needs to be done with that vehicle I really doesnt appreciate how they did me and trying to do me

0n 12/20/2023 I purchased a 2011 Buick enclave suv for $6000.00 total I didn't make it home before the car cut off would not Start back up again I had to call my triple aaa to tow vehicle back to the lot the next day I contacted the dealership to explain what happened and requested a refund .The staff rudely declined wouldn't allow exchange of vehicle and said the car need engine replacement and it was ******* that they were willing to go half on a new engine so I had to pay additional ******* on the car this was unacceptable to say the least.Business response

******************* purchased a vehicle that was sold as-is no guarantees no warranties and non-refundable. At the time of purchase the vehicle had ******* miles on it. Which would also exclude it from the 15 day or 500 mile warranty for vehicles with ******* miles or less. Even though the vehicle didn't have a warranty we still split the cost of the motor and labor. The customer paid $1500.00 towards repairs we covered $1650.00 of the cost the additional $150.00 we paid was the cost of fluids needed after motor replacement. We covered costs for repairs to rectify the issue and satisfy the customer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: i PAID ******* US DOLLARS for a vehicle that not only required a new engine that I paid ******* additional for repairs and then was told that they would assist with additional repairs because they were aware of the fact that the vehicle also required a new transmission which was originally quoted ******* additional us dollars **** +1500=****.00 and still no vehicle and the transmission place agreed to replace the transmission/rebuild the transmission @****.00 in which I notified one stop auto of additional repairs and labor so now were at **** +**** us dollars =******** and also had to rent a vehicle to commute back and forth to work this entire transaction is unacceptable and they should loose their dealership and business license due to the un professional and unethical practices of selling used cars to poor people looking for reliable transportation to commute to work and the vehicle never made it home before it cutoff the same day of the sale . The vehicle was a lemon and under the circumstances i should have been deemed or considered a lemon and I was never offered a refund of my money and or a replacement operating vehicle to rectify the lemon sales . I was never provided any type of exchange or refund or other options and i'm still without the car that I have spent ******** us dollars as of today 01/23/2024. They should have advised the consumer of the conditions of the vehicle and should have never falsely represented the vehicle for sale as a working vehicle they should have been truthful and upfront regarding the conditions of the vehicle needing a new engine and transmission and should have sold the vehicle as a mechanic special and lemon not a operating vehicle . This entire transaction was very disappointing and these people should not be able to victimize the public in this manner. The consumer should have been advise of the repairs required and given an opportunity to at least exchange for a vehicle of equal value . They never mentioned the transmission was no good after they replaced the engine and same day i picked up the vehicle after the engine was paid and installed the transmission was bad and they knew that the car wouldn't accelerate a required a new transmission this has been an awful nightmare to say the least.

I have recieve my college school emergency ***** from ************************* community College where I am student at. I use the money to purchase a car to help me take care of my self so i can stop walking and using the busses to get school or by food or for health reason because i am 33 and live by my self with no help. I went up to purchase a car but instead i got rip off by them and lied to them. They sold me a car that wasnt up to the part or in a safe condition as what they told me when thry sad the car was in good condition from the sales person. I also took the car back yesterday after they taken my money. I ask them to exchange my money to back to me and also ask of they could at least be honest and tell me what is wrong with the car. I took the car back the next demanding and calling the police to ask to please have my school money refunded back to me. They would not do it wasnt even *************************************************************************************** about the condition of the car and also the contract of the car. Please I need so this wouldnt happen again. This car have un safe issues that they are selling to consumers that need to be reported incase a death occurs for someone else please help. They would take the car back or return my money after they forcefully took my money. I called the police they gave me a report number. I HAVE USE MY EMERGENCY TO FIND A *** AND WENT TO DEALER THAT RIP ME OFF ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE **** I WENT THE NEXT DAY ASKING THEM FOR HELP TO RESOLVE OR GIVE MY MONEY BACK AND THEY DID NOT VALUE ME TO GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY OR AND HELP. I purchased a 2008 **** Explorer on June 07, 2023 from One Stop Auto Sales located at **** S. Western. I paid $4,500 cash. I took the car for a test drive, there were no check engine or any other indicator lights showing other than for low tire pressure. I purchased the vehicle as is. Within a few days, my transmission started slipping and upon having it scanned, It presented multiple codes. I took the vehicle and paid to have the entire transmission and engine diagnosed at **************** at ******************************* was informed that I needed a new transmission and was quoted *****. I was also informed that the bulb for the check engine light had been removed which is why there was no indication upon purchase that there were any major issues. This took place only 6 days after purchase, on June 13th, 2023. I also had it scanned in the days prior to that at AutoZone, showing the same codes and issues. ****************** informed me that this dealership had committed fraud by removing the check engine light bulb and deliberately selling the vehicle under false pretenses as documented on the invoice. I contacted One Stop Auto, the woman who sold it to me stated that I purchased the vehicle "as is" and that they were not liable for anything. A few days later, she called me offering a discount on parts and repairs. I refused the offer and informed them of the legal actions I was going to take. I gave them a few days to offer a better solution to the issue and was told to expect a phone call. I was never contacted again after that. I just had to scrap my prior vehicle and was in desperate need of a car for work. I was barely able to manage to pull all of my resources and get enough together to purchase another car, and they purposely defrauded me into buying a vehicle with a bad transmission. I would like to bring attention to this dealerships fraudulent practices and also hope to recover some of the money lost from this experience. This has now cost me upwards of $8000 between the purchase and repairs. This does not include lost earnings, and expenses from utilizing someone else's vehicle while this one is getting repaired.
