    Very Unprofessional. Destroyed My Heirloom Watch! In April, 2024 I took my family antique heirloom watch to **********************, owner of The Jewels of Chicago to have the broken wind up stem replaced. The watch was in tact. ******** kept the watch for more than 3 weeks. When I returned to the store to check progress & pay for a few watch batteries, the ************* dials of my heirloom watch were removed from the center dial hold, floating behind the glass watch-face cover. ******** assured me he would return the watch in the condition I gave it to him, if he could not replace the watch stem. May 4, 2024 ******** left a msg. stating he could convert my heirloom wind-up watch to a battery watch for $150. I said no & stated I would pick up my watch, Sat. .He left another voicemail stating he could repair the stem for $200. I said no, & reminded him he agreed to put the hand dials back in place, in the same condition he received the watch. When I arrived on Sat., May 11th, ******** was absent. He was hiding out like childish coward. The dials on the heirloom watch had not been restored. In talking to other dealers in the main store, others reported ******** has a bad reputation & has destroyed jewelry of other customers. SHOPPERS BEWARE!
