I owned a unit in a building they manage and thus they would ach my account for the association fees. They over charged me 1 month by $162. I had to call multiple times to even be spoken to and once I did it turned very argumentative from their "manager" informing me the is to hire someone I can only assume they get a kick back or some relative is the lawyer who handles the tax appeals and that's what it was for. I never gave my permission to be withdrawn this money, i went through the bylaws and nothing in there stipulates the board nor the association can do this and charge me without my permission i have asked for documentation with proof that they can, or any type of signature or approval and they have turned a blind eye. They don't respond to me, nor have they tried to contact me. By far the worse business acumen i have ever encountered. Simply visit their office and it is clear to see that they make a mockery out of complaints and their clients

********************** resides in a condominium association that is governed by a board of directors, not **.  In their bylaws it allows for the board to appeal the property taxes for everyone in the building as a whole (snippet attached and highlighted).  This is what they did.  ********* has been appealing the property taxes every time they have come up for appeal (every 3 years) since we have managed the property, which is over 15 years.

I have also attached the notice that we sent out to all owners via **** that gave everyone the good news that the attorney was successful in their appeal and that they had saved everyone money on their property taxes (they saved ********************** over $2,000 on his property taxes).  The notice shows everyone how much they saved along with how much the attorney charged for each unit, based on the amount they saved them.  We noted on the notice that anyone signed up to pay their monthly *************** via ACH would have the amount owed deducted along with their August 2023 assessments.  ********************** was signed up for ACH payments for his assessments so the $162.21 attorney's fee was deducted along with his monthly assessments as stated in the notice.  I have highlighted some text of the notice for your convenience.

This money did not go to us, it went to the ************************************************* ************************ which is a legal entity of its own and a not for profit corporation.  It is not my money to refund to **********************, nor was it my decision to appeal the property taxes, it was the board's.  It is unfortunate that ********************** did not see the value in having his property taxes lowered on his behalf, but the board was within their right to do so and saved his unit over $2,000 in property taxes.  I did have a conversation with ********************** where he belligerently asked me to show him proof that he authorized that he be included in the tax appeal and I explained to him that he did not need to authorize it, the board did and they have that authority.  He then logged two different 1 star ****** reviews against my business from two different accounts to punish me for doing my job and following direction from the board of directors.  This complaint is without merit and the issues that ********************** has with the tax appeal and the fees related to that appeal are out of my control.

I am rejecting this response because: it is unfortunate that Broad shoulder management continues to fight and disrespect its clients, he can spin his sorry however he would like but simply look at his ****** reviews at is easy to see that should run as fast as you can from this company not simply from my review but from many others, I was never saved any money nor are his assessments or comments accurate. Simply call the office or visit the office and it is clear to see that this is a subpar argumentative business that can care less for his clients.

    Sincerely,
