1 starIf I could give them a no star review I would. They have a judgment against me for $22K which is incorrect I only owe 1600. I am in the process of filing a suit for inflation against this company. This is wrong and uncalled for. Their apartments are uninhabitable which I have proof from the Village Inspector.Review fromGlenn C

1 starTLC company has went down. From the turnover of management to the buildings. I have stayed in 2 different buildings of TLC and one was spacious just the management and the tenants. Now the building I'm in let's say it's small and pricey. It's like living in a boujee building and uncaring management. My kitchen sink has been backing up sewage told management didn't care. Bathroom floods Everytime you take a shower again management don't care. My floors are bulking and lumpy from my place flooding. Again management don't care. I have told management about the trash room being nasty and it causes roaches, rats again management don't care. I have explained I don't feel safe in my apartment with workers right at my window again management don't care. It's about the money. It's basically pay your rent and nothing else mattersReview fromDerek A

1 starAs a tenant, for what is approaching 10 years in February at **************************, I have had nothing but issues with the revolving door of building managers at this property. There have been numerous complaints by me over the years some have been addressed, and some have been completely ignored. My Current complaint that has been an ongoing issue for over two months now is I am literally unable to take a shower due to inadequate, shower, pressure and lack of hot water I have to ****** under my showerhead and take lukewarm to cold showers due to lack of water pressure my showers last 30 minutes or longer because that's how long it takes me to rinse, the soap from my body and the shampoo out of my hair. My rent is increasing every year and I'm up to $1400 a month in rent as of now and I know it will increase in February when I renew as I have no choice but to renew. I am very angry and at my **** end, and should at least have the proper ability to bathe but no one from corporate returns any emails or phone calls. I cannot get a hold of a live person at the corporate offices ever.Review fromUyvette T

1 starI have been a resident at ******* Estate, formerly Stratford Place Apartments which is managed by TLC since 2015. Every year i provide them with a copy of my renters policy showing that they are listed as an interested party. However recently they changed companies that they use for document tracking. On 7/27/23 I received a 3rd email from a company called Lease Track, requesting a copy of my policy, which I forwarded to them for the third time. At first, they denied my documents saying that they were not sufficient. I wrote back to them with another copy of the renters policy, which included the declaration page showing TLC Management as the interested party. they FINALLY accepted my documents and stated that they would request a credit of $15 (the amount i was being charged by TLC for liability coverage). I have now waited since Monday 7/28 for this credit to appear in my account. Their portal will not allow me to pay less than the amount that's due, which is over by $15. It is not about $15, it is about the principle of them charging me for something that they should not charge me for and not removing it in a timely manner as it has been five days now. I have contacted them several times with no response from corporate. Unfortunately, the rental office states that they are not able to credit my account, and that they have referred it to the corporate office. Yesterday 8/5/23, I put two money orders for the rent amount in the drop box. I cannot pay the amount online without paying the $15 that has been arbitrarily charged to me. Then this morning, I looked at the portal again and not only have they not taken the $15 off, but they have charged me a late fee of $100. (As per my lease, payment is due by the 5th.) Do not rent here. They have no office staff, no one answers the phone in the office, and they do not respond to requests.Review fromMarvin H

1 starI only have **** characters to describe the mess I have had to put up with since I have been living at the Wyndham apartments, managed by this c*** company TLC management. We have crazy people roaming about the building harassing the tenants, there are people sleeping in the stairwells and lobby area, people do not properly dispose of their trash, and we have had a couple fires on the premises. The building has NO SECURITY only a door person who will sometimes let people in without verifying who they are and what person they are here to visit. Over the winter months we had a pipe burst in the building it flooded the lobby area, it took a couple days to clean and dry the lobby. The building stinks all over It smells like dog and cigarette smoke and when the trash builds up in the service elevator area the smell is unbearable. The building managers are knuckle headed idiots. In my building we have been through multiple managers, they turnover so fast because they are not really qualified to do the job. They are just here to sell the units nothing more than that. So, complaints much of the time may go unanswered it's to the point where they will just sit in the office and send out emails to all the tenants saying that they are aware of the problem that they themselves created.Right now, as I write this review, we have two of our elevators not working we are hoping that our third elevator don't give out, because this building has over 10 floors my apartment is on the nineth floor that's a long haul with bags of grocery or laundry. Speaking of laundry our washers and dryers are often breaking down from overuse we don't have that many for a building this size. Also, the bike room is c*** and somewhat dangerous we have leaking pipes dropping water all over the floor which is a slip and fall hazard. I would encourage anyone who reads this review to go to Yelp.com to get better and more in-depth information about this property and this company.Review fromAiyendae L

1 starWorst company ever rented with them for about 2-3 month if that in 2020 was allowed to break lease due to ***** infestation. Had the worst time trying to contact the office for assistance TLC Staff would often ignore all request for assistance 2 sisters staff were very unprofessional. I am also very upset that 2 years later I am being contacted again for unpaid rent! When there was a conversation had between myself and the ** of operations two years ago! I wish someone would come and show them how to properly run a rental agency all the potential is there.Review fromlauren v

1 starAbsolutely horrible. Most properties wont have a property manager if they do the person is most likely incompetent or doesnt care. Will be on their phone, out of office or have the door closed and locked. You can never reach corporate. Issues with no resolve only reassurance that theyve received the complaint. This is to ensure youll stop contacting or bother them. Horrible company. Wish the property was bought out by someone better.
