This is the second time my car was illegally towed from a North *********** in ************, where I frequently dine. I work close by and use local businesses on that plaza. Mostly Subway and American Bagel place but also a Gaming Spot for coffee, ************* place as well as a nail salon. I have a handful of the receipts to prove it as well as people working there know me. The first time my car got towed I didn't want to go through the hustle of disputing it, but the second time it happened, it made me raise my eyebrow. The reason I was given as why my car was towed was because "I had no permit". No other information was given to me as what kind of "permit" is needed as I am parked getting my nails done or eating my sub!!! I walked around the lot and took pictures of the only signs that were there and NONE of them stated any "permit" is required, besides that lot being for their customers use. Which I am. I attach pictures of the plaza and its parking information as well as 2 release documentation of the 2 times my car was towed. I reached out to local communities as well as did some ****** research on Lincoln Towing, just to learn about some of the horror stories of people being towed with children or pets inside as well as a city truck with a man on a ladder as being towed!! He fell off and was badly injured. This company is a total scam and should have been shut down long time ago. It seems as it is just another shady business that is operating on very often revoked license. Their workers were being charged in catalytic converters scam just recently. I am collecting signatures in within my community to start class action against this scheme company. It seems as randomly selecting vehicles to be towed is their practice and there are hundreds of people just like me with similar and even much worse stories to tell on them!!!!!!! We will be happy to present our evidence in court.Initial Complaint

I was at the **** store at 5351 north Lincoln getting a phone upgraded on December 8th, 2024. I was in the store for 90 minutes, waiting with my daughter for the phone data to transfer. We never left the store except to go to the car and get my daughters iPad. . When we came out, our car was gone. I initially thought it was stolen, so we went to the police station across the street. They said it was likely towed. I was shocked, because we were parked in the lot of the store we were in. I told the employee at the att store, and she was also shocked. She called her manager and Lincoln towing. We had to take an **** to Lincoln towing, and when I got there, the *** said it would cost $500 to get the car out. I told him we never left the store and he said he didnt care, it wasnt his job. I raised my voice, saying that I was not going to pay, and he called me a ****** and a loser and repeatedly cursed at me in front of my 12 year old daughter. I took out my phone and recorded him and all the foul things he was saying. He said I could go F myself and file a complaint and walked away. Then, the employee from the *** store finally got ahold of him and told him I was in the store the whole time. He came back and said I could get my car without charge. When I went to the car, an electric vehicle, it told me that the braking system malfunctioned and the car couldnt be safely driven. In towing the car, they had damaged it so it couldnt be driven more than 19 miles an hour. I had to call Rivian to tow it and repair it, which will likely cost hundreds of dollars at least.Initial Complaint

My Vehicle was towed on October 11th and on a regular wheel lift towing truck and the driver completely damaged my bumper, removed the plastic covers from underneath my vehicle that protects the vehicle parts and damaged my oil pan. I was told to drop off the claim form along with the original receipt, an estimate and photos. I called them 2 weeks later to follow up on the claim and ***** answered the phone yelling, he did not ask my name or number or any information regarding the vehicle or claim and stated it's been denied. He continuously yelled 'Its Been Denied Its Been Denied' and hung up in my face with no status update or information. He told me to take the steps I felt I needed to take, told me to get a lawyer and hung up in my face. I have no confirmation that it was even sent to their insurance or that the paper work had even been processed. I believe it sat on a desk somewhere and was never addressed. The damaged they cause to my vehicle costs over 3k and they aren't providing me any explanation or resolution to my claim.Initial Complaint

My truck got towed while in my parking spot. I had my sticker on it but it came off a little due to the humidity. I spoke to the towing company and they sent me To a complaint department that just advised they do not offer refunds so the company lied to me on how to get my money back.Initial Complaint

Lincoln Towing illegally towed my car from my friends lot without any signs present suggesting they would. Upon calling, they swore at me and threatened my life and raised the price to get it returned. Because of the towing, I was fired from my job and now have been overdrafted. They, for all intents and purposes, stole my car and are holding it ******.Initial Complaint

I believe without a shadow of doubt my car was towed illegally cause there were other cars parked there for some time and they weren't towed I stepped away for about 3 minutes and where my car was parked the business that was there is no longer open. I went to get my car I asked the man who owed the lot he said it was no of my business and when I asked if he owed it he said no so with that being said he proceeded to call me dumb and was very rude and unprofessional. I would like my money back this man is doing illegal towing and needs to be stopped please help me resolve this issue thank you for your help in this process.Initial Complaint

Lincoln Towing service in the ************* neighborhood of ******* has signs posted that their fee is $238 when it is actually $240- first. They also don't allow you to inspect your vehicle before paying them to release it, which is highly illegal. The tow truck driver called me a b**** as he drove off. Their practices are HIGHLY questionable, if not entirely inappropriate and they should be investigated. This is just my experience- many counts have claimed they operate illegally without proper driving permits, etc.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Lincoln Towing Service for what I believe to be predatory and unlawful towing practices.8/29/24 I parked my car in a public parking lot. There were no signs indicating that a permit was required, no meters with a time limit, and no visible information about towing enforcement. When I returned less than two hours later, my car was gone. There were no signs or instructions on how to locate my vehicle, forcing me to call multiple towing companies until Lincoln Towing Service confirmed they had towed it.I firmly believe this was an act of extortion. I parked in a public spot with no clear restrictions, yet I was forced to pay $250 to retrieve my vehicle. This entire experience has been distressing and unjust.I request that the BBB investigate this matter and take appropriate action to prevent others from falling victim to similar practices. I also seek a refund of the $240 that I was unfairly charged.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,******** ******Initial Complaint

Company towed my car after parking in lot that says free parking. We were in the rosatis and Asian grocery store and they claimed we were illegally parked. Company refused to bring back car. I am aware they have illegally towed hundreds of vehicles and I think this company needs to be shut down.Initial Complaint

This business towed my vehical while I was in ********* shopping. After I called they claimed they went inside and announced my lisense plate number before towing to make sure I wasnt inside. That was 100% made up, I was in the medicine isle for about 10 minutes and would have heard them since its right by the door. After I called to ask them to bring my car back they said they had a spotter on scene tell them I left the store. There was no spotter and I never left the scene/store. This company is NOTORIOUS for doing scams like this. They lost their towing lisense in ***************************************************** just completley illiegally. They should be shut down and I'd like my money back.
