    October 9th I was going to ******* to pick up my vehicle that had been in a collision on August 30th and was told the vehicle would be done on October 4th I arranged to come on the 9th and the vehicle broke down on me driving back because the business spilled coolant on my spark plugs Ive been trying to get them to fix the repairs and get me a rental. They will *********** but wont give me a rental

    On October 13th I brought my car in to get fixed due to it being broken into and attempted to be stolen. On October 17, I picked up my car. So, the next day Tuesday, October 18th I brought my car to a security alarm installer as to ************** due to the uptick in *** thefts. As soon as the installer attempted to take the steering column shell (Shroud) of the s**** just kept turning, meaning that the s**** threading was stripped. So as soon as he got the shroud off, he noticed that all these different places had just been glued and not replaced with either a manufacturing new part or an aftermarket part. I even compared the sticker on one of the parts with the sticker shown in the Adjusters photos and they were exactly the same. Meaning they just reused my old broken parts and glued them. Both the estimate and the bill I received stated that the following were removed/replaced (1) lower column cover, (2) steering column, and (3) wiper switch. I was charged for parts and 1.1 hours of labor. I went back to speak with the manager about the issue. He initially stated that the reason there was glue on the shroud is because the aftermarket part they received was scratched so they just repaired aka glued together my old part. He also said that a *** ************ part would have taken a month to get in. Then, he stated that was the only part glued. I showed him pictures showing all the different places that were glued. He then changed his story again and said the wiper arm that was sent was the incorrect one, so they glued that as well. Further, the estimate listed the parts at $225 but the final bill says the parts cost $180 but they billed me for the total amount of the estimate despite it being $45 less than the estimate. Not once throughout this entire process did they reach out and communicate that they were having issues with locating the parts needed to get my steering column back to pre-incident condition.

    I had my *** 35i 2013, towed to Interstate Auto on *****************************************************************, on August 24, 2022, to have work done on my vehicle. After the mechanic finished working on it they told me that none of the parts or work was guaranteed. I spent exactly $4,312.56 and as was driving home from work, the night shift, my car stopped in the middle of the street. It would not start start and as had help to push it to the curve I saw gas leaking from underneath my car. The pain and suffering of this experienced was unimaginable. Im not looking to go to court or hiring and attorney, I just want Interstate auto with all consciousness to do was is right.
