    Friday June 2nd, I walked into S & M Auto Sales on ***************************** in ******* with the intention of finalizing a vehicle purchase. I had spoken to ***** over the phone prior to showing up so that I knew what I was dealing with as far as down payment and what loan amount I was going to qualify for. The agreement was to that I would be paying a down payment of $2,000 and 36 monthly payments of $222.15 for the 2011 ***** Equinox. I test drove the vehicle and did not have any issues other than them providing me with a broken key. The owner stated that there was nothing mechanically wrong with the vehicle. I felt confident with his responses, so I agreed to purchasing the vehicle and signed the contract. I started noticing that the car would struggle to pick up and jerk. Then Sunday night while stopped at a red light the car shut off. I quickly changed gears and completely shut off the entire car and started it over again. I did this about 5 times before the car would no longer pick up when I pressed the gas, and I left it overnight by ****************************** I contacted the dealer that morning and he sent someone out to see the vehicle where it had left me. The person that came only connected a charger for the battery in attempt to charge it. I made them aware when I called that morning that the issue was not that the vehicle didn't start. The real issue was that it would shut off at every red light. During the ride back to the dealer the vehicle shut off a total of 8 times, the representative from the dealership was behind me and witnessed this. The owner of dealership came out to drive off speeding and comes back in less than 5 minutes and all he said was it had a check engine light. to go to a mechanic shop and get it looked at. I told him I wanted to receive a refund or get a different car. He refused and kicked both my cousin and I out. Stated that there's nothing that could be done, and it was my problem.
