I sold Bitcoin at a Bitcoin of America ***. I sent $300 of Bitcoin but the *** had an error dispensing cash. I have been given the runaround and promised follow up from customer service and a refund. After a week I have not received either or even an apology. I want my $300 and to file a complaint about this company.Initial Complaint

I purchased $2,900 US dollars worth of bitcoin at a Bitcoin of America ATM, located at: *********************************************** on October 31st. At the time of the transaction, it was made clear to me, nor was Iprompted to agree to a disclaimer (unless buried or hidden in fine print or hidden behind the T&C's to accept) that my $2,900 bitcoin transaction would incur a 20% transaction fee. There was NOTHING at the time to warn me nor was I even aware that the value of my bitcoin had depreciated by 20%. I found this out only when I went to send the bitcoin and realized the value was 20% less than my deposit. I immediately went to their webpage and, again, was unable to see that any transaction at their ATM could incur a 20% transaction fee. This is appalling. I called their 888 number, and filed a written complaint on bitcoinofamerica.org. I was told that I would be contacted by *****, the ****** supervisor". Since that time, I've had my call dropped "coincidentally" 3 times already. The language on the website does not provide a disclosure. Ask yourself whether a 20% fee for a transaction of $2,900 would discourage you from proceeding had you clearly known in advance. That's exactly how I feel. No .org extension is immune from deceptive practices. Others need to be warned. I understand that bitcoin is unregulated and there are risks inherent in blockchain currency. This is not my issue. This is a US company, using a ".org" extension to steal under the guise of a trusted organization. The name alone, Bitcoin of America, is what instilled in me the belief that I was working through a protected mechanism. The term "ATM" is also misleading and deceptive. No rational human would pay 20%. The standard ATM fee, out of network, even at mom and pop convenience stores, never exceeds 5%. This company is benefiting from the inherent ignorance of the consumer in this fieldInitial Complaint
