My husband received a letter from Mediation Recovery Center for collection from "original creditor - National Duralble Medical". Letter states "National Durable Medical debt obligation is significantly past due". The "offer" to pay $49 a month or one time of $605.98 expires 4/30/2025. This is the only detail contained in the letter; no date of service, no details as to what was used/procedure/ etc. This is the first letter received but when I did the initial research on what is NDM it makes no sense becuse he has not rented used, etc. any equipment and this is the first time to receive a notification of payment due. No phone calls or if there was no message left since we tend to not answer unknown phone numbers right away. I also found the complaints made to BBB on this matter and seems I am being scamed like many others. I do not want to contact this company and start the process of harassment but don't want to have a debt collector or record of one in our files.

I received a call from ***** ******** at *** claiming I had an outstanding balance regarding medical equipment from a surgery I underwent in 2020. He read off the consent form I signed and the names of the equipment I required, informing me of an alleged $1,875 delinquent balance that would go away if I paid $986. When I said I was never informed of said balance, he got upset calling me absurd. I contacted my surgical center and the medical device *** who all informed me I did not have a balance. When ***** called me back, I informed him I had these conversations for him to again get aggressive with me and call me absurd before hanging up. When I called back to ask who he works for, he got angry and forwarded me on to *** *****, the alleged manager of ***. *** emphatically stated what they do is not fraudulent, yet no one could provide me on any specifics of my outstanding balance. At least he stated he would take me off the call list after I informed them of my recording of the call.

I received a call from ***** ******** (at Mediation Recovery Center ************) referencing an unpaid bill from a surgery I had in 2019 where a device from ************************ said they had sent direct bills after **** denied payment. This is for a Limb Compression Device to Prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis. While I did receive this device, I never received a bill or notice from **** that this was an unpaid issue. They said I owed $5595 for an item I see on ****** for $199. After I challenged this they agreed to only charge me $2000 and if I did not pay today they would report this to the credit bureaus. The company ************************ is no longer in business and it sounded like Mediation Recovery bought this "debt" to recover. How do I resolve this. They did send a copy of the prescription/order from the Doctor but no idea how they would have that. Please advise what to do and thank you!!!

Mediation Recovery Center has called to harass me regarding a "delinquent" medical bill from 2020 surgery. I called the surgical center who indicated they never submitted anything to a debt collection agency and believe this to be fraudulent. I never received any formal collections bill from the identified agency they bought this from, ************************. Nothing was received from them. Nothing has been received from ***. All of my medical bills have been paid in full. Account number is ********. The "bill" they sent had ZERO details other than what I owe. We are now looking into this legally. They provide no details and there is no record of any money due by this National Durable Medical.

On 2-10-25 and 3-18-25, I was contacted by Mediation Recovery Center. *** was pushy, used stiff arm tactics, and would not allow me to speak. They said I owe $3495 for a Limb Compression Device that was prescribed to me in 2018 by my doctor from National Durable Medical (no longer in business). Confused as to why I am being asked to pay this 7 years later. *** said if I paid now, the fee would only be $875. They said that he would ***ort me to the credit agencies if I didn't pay. I asked for exact details regarding the claim, and he was not able to answer those questions regarding the date of the procedure, with *** and exactly what my insurance did or did not cover. I called back and spoke with his supervisor. The supervisor said I could extend the due date to the end of the week. I said I wasnt sure if this was a real claim, or a scam and the *** reassured me it was real and needed to pay or I would be ***orted to collections. I said I wanted to do some research into why I was just now receiving this notice. They got frustrated with me and said they could not email and supporting documents and I needed to pay over the phone. I hung up and called my doctor *** said I did not have any outstanding balances nor was anything sent to collections. My bank also recommended that I cancel my debit card just in case it was a scam. *** has been calling me several times a day from different numbers and not leaving a message. My doctor told me not to pay and asked for a copy of the letter about the debt from ***. I cannot contact the company that allegedly says that I have an outstanding balance. I have a good credit rating, and I pay bills on time. I'm concerned that *** will try to ruin my credit for an issue I'm not responsible for. I'm concerned that *** may have my medical information which is a HIPPA concern. The BBB website shows I am not the only person *** had difficulties with MRC for this same issue. Thank you!
