Over the years, I've regularly purchased cars online and traveled to get them. Over time, I've had mostly wonderful experiences doing so. However, with AutoNation Honda O'Hare, I've had the opposite. When initially reviewing the multiple photos of a RAV4 they were selling on Cars.com, it looked like a pretty decent car for the money. After calling to inquire, I agreed to purchase the vehicle and travel to get it. Well AFTER I signed the purchase agreement and purchased a plane ticket...the dealer texted me a picture of the same car with a significant amount of paint missing next to the hood (looked PERFECT in the photos I had seen previously). Even though I signed the purchase agreement based on pictures that clearly showed the same vehicle with NO damage to the paint, they refused to fix the damage or budge on price - NOT A *****! So, I got to eat my $400 plane ticket and continue shopping for my college son's car. Please think twice before doing business with this dealer. They clearly do not care about the customer or doing the right thing. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised when this dealership, after completely misleading me into buying a plane ticket, wouldn't even consider a small reduction in price to deal with a car with a known factory defect causing the paint not to stick to the primer.Review from Rahul J

I bought a ****** Corolla 2014 on Jan 2nd, **** from Autonation Honda O'hare. At the time of the delivery, I found that there was some issue with the Audio System of the Car and told the dealership to fix this issue. The dealership fixed half of the problem but half of the issue still exists (the Audio System Display is replaced but the front speakers are not working). *************** Honda told me to go to the AutoNation ****** dealership in ************. The ************ Dealership denied fixing the issue. I went back to the Autonation Honda *********** dealership and talked to the salespeople regarding this and they assured me that we would resolve this issue and its been 2 weeks with no response from them. I regret buying this car as I visited 4-5 times to the dealership in 4 weeks of buying this car.Review from Annette P

Purchased a vehicle on Jan 1, ****. Intended to give them a check for the full amount. Told me that company policy would not allow it due to risk of fraud. Although I had hoped to avoid time with their finance officer, I had no choice. It was a nuisance. Had to wait over an hour for to see finance officer. Figured I would pay the first month, then pay my car off after that. However, the finance officer encouraged me (wink, wink) to pay the first 3 months so the company would not be liable for whatever charges they would incur if I only paid for one month.Review from Chanel D

I am very disappointed with this company. We bought a vehicle from them at the end of March and we still do not have our registration, title, or plates. While working with this company we paid the fees for all of these for our state. They have not filed our paperwork for us to get our plates, title, and registration. It is now May 27th and when going onto our state's DMV website it shows that there is no information on our pin #. I will be filing a complaint. We are never buying a vehicle from your company again!AutoNation Honda O'Hare Response

We are extremely sorry for the delay in registration with the State of Wisconsin, however we have zero control over the speed with which they process license and title applications. We did issue a 90 day temporary registration that is indeed valid until the end of June, so there is still time for the State of Wisconsin to process the transaction. Thank you for reaching out to us, we appreciate your business and again apologize any inconvenience. I would ask this be removed, as the information in the complaint is not accurate. Our vehicle was totaled out on June 17th and we requested to have the *** insurance canceled. The request was faxed mid-July. To date, Autonation Honda has not refunded our $1000 for the cancellation of the *** contract, nor will respond to email requests asking for an update. I am not surprised by any of this. Do not buy from this dealership! You will have to beg, ******, and plead just to get them to do their job. And of course, they are not BBB accredited; therefore, I cannot file a complaint with them!AutoNation Honda O'Hare Response

**** is the worst manager and he knows nothing about customer service.I bought the car for ***** dollars plus tax, i tok it home and i was not satisfied with it so i went back the next day to return it and buy another car but they surprised me that they want to offer ***** k for the car forcing me to lose **** withing 24 hours! I posted thier appraisal for thier own car that they sold for ***** hours before, **** didn't even bother to talk and try to solve the problem he came up with excuses that didn't make any sense, never again BTW , i tried to trade in my Buick encore with carmax certification appraised for 6500$ , they did not match it!!!!! What a dealerships handling Hondas brand. If i could not give them even one star for them and Honda, i would not choose it!Review from Sean B

Purchased a Vehicle within the last 8 months from this dealership and purchasing the add on warranty is about the only benefit. Car has been in the shop on three separate occasions for repairs including; starter, front axle and rear brakes. Rear brakes were replaced with use parts and charged as if new pads and rotors were put on. Front axle replaced without an alignment and lastly a starter replaced with a used starter. Despite these repairs not being completed up to Honda's "outstanding service" , customer service and repair staff continues to ignore calls and lack of updating on repairs. Multiple days being wasted without updates , and no support for a rental car other than, " we don't have anyone right now." A suggestion to the regional/area management I would figure out a plan before this locations goes out of business and pushes more customers out the door. This will be the last time dealing with this locations as you could imagine being ripped off on service which was sold as new parts and being replaced with used is frustrating after waiting days for simple repairs to be completed. To future customers, I would avoid and think twice when looking to get service, and/or purchase a vehicle here.Thank you,Review from Peter P

Sub-par performance, service , and customer service. I would not do business with this dealer.Brought the car back within a couple of weeks of purchasing a new vehicle. One of the features doesnt activate on the vehicle. After3 visit attempts - the issue is still not resolved. I have been given 10 different reason why it doesnt work and a technical document explaining 25 parameters for non-activation. Otherwise the car is fine and if the feature doesnt work ; then I dont understand the workings of the vehicle. According to Honda this is normal but they are willing to speak with the service department. The dealer refuses to call back the manufacturer to proceed with this case. Nothing is being done in the interim to solve this matter.AutoNation Honda O'Hare Response

Weve purchased a few vehicles from this dealer and have been bringing our vehicles to them for service for many years now and have noticed a severe decline in their service department. I had been waiting about 2 months for a part to come. When it finally did I brought my vehicle in for this spool valve repair and and to get the front and rear valve gaskets replaced. I was told that my vehicle was finished, my husband picked it up, and after looking at the paperwork realized that they never even did the spool valve repair. We left a few messages and finally about a week later received a call back. They left a message apologizing and asked when I wanted to bring the vehicle back. I left a message the same day (Tuesday), and still havent received a call back yet to make an appt and to also discuss the transmission leak I had to read about in the paperwork to even know it existed.I must say Ive become extremely disappointed in their service lately.AutoNation Honda O'Hare Response
