Had a new roof installed by Ameripro about 6 months ago. A worker broke part of one of ************ causing condensation problem. The company worked on the problem. Putting sealant on both of ************ Only one had a problem. I had a new company that installs skylights check it. The company told me that the step flashing around the existing skylights was not installed properly. I contacted Ameripro.. They will not come and finish the install properly. They only want to argue. Corporate address ***********************************************************************************

We have been speaking with *************** regarding her concerns.  Based on the conversations had, there have been no active leaks, so it does not appear that there is anything broken, just a condensation issue around the glass.  We do understand that another company came out and claim that we did not install the flashing correctly around the skylight.  If the flashing was not installed properly, there would be leaking happening in that area, which is not the situation.  She is having another inspection being done in the next 1-2 weeks so we can work out a resolution.  From the photos that we have reviewed, the flashing does seem to be installed correctly.  We will continue to work with *************** to reach a reasonable agreement here on what needs to be done and will review the 2nd inspection report that she sends over to us.  Whatever the outcome of this other inspection, we will make sure to do the right thing and correct any issues around the skylight if they also claim we installed it incorrectly.  We don't believe the flashing is currently the issue though as she is experiencing condensation.  However, we will review the inspection reports and will reach an agreement with ***************.

I paid Ameripro Roofing in full almost $8000 for a new roof in Nov 2020, and now in Feb 2022 my roof has leaked and damaged my interior walls. I called the company and spoke to manager ***** and was told by her that it probably was an ice dam and I was to get on the roof and remove snow that was up there. to me she was indicating it was my fault for not removing snow. I explained to her I have been living in my home for 20 years and have never had a or any leaks from my previous roof and there have been plenty of snow and rain. I then received a call from **** and he wanted to come to look at the roof and damage. Of course he stated the ice dam and when he got on the roof he stated I didn't have any insulation under a part of my siding. I explained I had never had any indication of a leak or a problem until I had my roof installed with Ameripro. **** proceeded to tell me I need toile a claim with my insurance company or I can pay them to insulate that area $750. I don't feel I should have to pay anymore money as I had them to come install my roof and it should have been installed properly where I did not have to go through all of this confusion! for 20 years I had not!! had any problems with my roof or leaks prior to the Nov 2020 installation. I feel Ameripro should stand by their work!! Their salespeople came by my house soliciting an inspection, I didn't think I needed a new roof but I trusted them with their word and all that came out of their mouths when they were selling me bullcrap of good workmanship! I want my roof fixed.. no more leaks and my interior walls fixed! Please assist me in any way you can, I would really appreciate it.

We have been to the home to inspect the roof and we believe that the home is experiencing a leak either due to ice damming or the fact that there is no vapor barrier behind the siding where the roof meets the siding.  It has rained recently and the homeowner has not noticed any more leaks with any of ************, indicating that this is possibly an ice dam situation that occurred from the last snow storm.  We are working with our ********************* to see what we can do to help the homeowner here though because we want to help any way we can to prevent this ice damming situation from happening in the future.  If the homeowner has any additional questions or concerns in the meantime, please feel free to call our ***************** Manager, ****, at ********************** or email her at *************************************.

I got a new roof on 5/2014. In 2/2022 the roof started leaking Badly around the chimney following the snow storm we had and continued to leak during the rain. I reached out to the company who told me even though my roof was under warranty the work was not covered. I told him the leak came from around the chimney and the flashing looked bad. We exchanged multiple emails and phone calls. The company denied any responsibility for the leak around the chimney. I got the itemized payment from the insurance company that shows I paid for flashing I did not receive. I had to have another roofer come out to fix the problem because of more rain in the forecast and the continued denial of the warranty guy at this company. The new roofers took pictures. A crack had developed where the flashing should have been and leaked down the chimney it cost me $500 for the flashing and install. The leak ruined my carpet in the basement too. The water leaked out the chimney, under and in front of the stairway soaking the carpet, through the back of an unused basement closet. My boyfriend has looked at the other flashing on the roof and that also wasnt changed although there is no leak at this time. I did pay pipe **** flashing and chimney flashing that the company did not install. I have insurance documents, email exchanges and pictures. Im trying ti file a claim against the companies bond however I am struggling to find out who holds their bond in Indiana.

Ameripro installed siding on my home the week of January 31st and while they were installing the siding we had many problems. They did not order board and batting as requested, damaged the window frames, and threw away/ destroyed shutters that were supposed to be reinstalled. I have been going back and forth with *************************** and its been one lie after another. I email him and he doesnt respond to emails. I call and leave voicemails only to call again and again until he returns my call or answers. Ive been actively trying to speak with ****** to find a solution to the damage the contractors caused, but both my husband and I keep getting the same answer of in 24hours or 48hours well have an answer but its now been 3 weeks. I have documentation of how this entire process went since my insurance approved the siding including phone records of calls placed and received. At this point I just need someone to be honest and provide the information they say they have. They say the contractors took photos before and after but will not send to me. They say my shutters were glued to the siding hence the window frame and door frame being damaged. I have the shutters and none have glue. They are trying to say my home is old so that is why there is damage. The contractors didnt bother to use the correct tools or take their time while removing the old siding because it was ***** degrees outside. I am looking to speak to someone other than ****** who can give me straight answers and not become aggressive and defensive while speaking on the phone.

Damage to the aluminum around the tower plus water going right in left of the tower could not get a hold of anybody to fix the leaks and Im not gonna have water going down in my house with a new roof just put on so I had to have a third-party come over and do emergency repairs because its winter can only band- aid till spring! they were told to fix rotten wood on the roof didnt replace it and now it still leaks !! The contractors Damaged my siding and his boss asked him in front of me what happened he said the ladder fell down on it and anyways shes getting new Silding from insurance claim !!! I said I am NOT getting new siding on the house!!! Very unprofessional!! They dont care damaged aluminum up on the tower I had pictures before and after and I texted them all I sent it to the ******* at Ameripro he put them in their insurance claim hes got all the pictures and the texts and this was back in December2021 he said he will get it taken care ! Our office was not notified by the city of the inspection failing after we reported to them the work was done.  Had we known that there were issues, we would have returned to the property to address the tickets.  We reached out to the city to get a copy of the inspection report as that should have been provided to us.  We also had a meeting scheduled with ************ early next week with our local Production Manager to inspect the roof and her claims.  ************ got upset that we were in contact with the city regarding the inspection results.  They are obligated to provide that to us as we were the company that pulled the permit for the work and they require from us to have the repairs completed.  ************ then cancelled her meeting with our Production Manager next week and stated that she was going to just hire another company to make the repairs.  We are reviewing the estimate with ************ today and hope to have a resolution soon.

Im not going let my roof leak for two months! I had to get it fixed or at least band aid till spring when I had to have a different roof company come out and do emergency repairs on my roof my new roof from Ameripro which has leaks!!!! I should not have a brand new roof that leaks in 3 spots and you were told about them area before Ameripro did not care!!!That is what Im upset about!!! I dont care if you talk to the building inspector at least you communicate for once and he said will not be approved until Ameripro fixs the leaks on the roofs!!!! And now its February 21 2022and still you are fighting with me to make this right!! If you wouldve communicated with me you couldve of  put a lot fires out but no communication nothing is done and this is where were at so now the new roofing companies gonna come over and fix your mistakes and I think you should give me a credit on this because what Ive been dealing with since November 28, 2021 not the **** what I have to give the other roofer to fix Ameripro mistakes !!! And today I had you on the phone with the insurance adjuster my doing not Ameripro and he agreed with me that thats fair $1000 of the deductible that Ameripro should pay for all the hassle and the headaches and the nightmare that Ive been going through with Ameripro!! So the ***** in Your court Ameripro are you gonna make this right? And be honest and stand behind your workmanship? In your Ameripro booklet  in the begin you gave me before you even started the job it says.Ameripro they take pride in their work and ensuing with our work our customers are satisfied  in our work from beginning to the end of the job! **************** and communications were terrible. Their sales man knocked on my door looking for storm damage .So my husband talked to him and we agreed to let him inspect for damage , And the next thing we knew we were signed into a contract when it was supposed to be for an inspection. Bait and switch.. So we tried to call and talk to ***** because we were tricked into signing into a contract. And he did not want to negotiate . He threatened me with ruing my credit and putting my home loan in Jeopardy. After several weeks of trying to talk and Negotiate with him . We called the main office and talked with his supervisor ****. And the only thing she was willing to do was minus off 350$ for a attic fan we did not need anyway. We researched roofing companies in our area who quoted us around *****. And Ameripro quoted over *****. They were aware of us not working do to Covid19. And we wanted to keep the price down due to no job and not being sure of when i would be going back to work. I am a waitress and my husband does not work . And i expressed those concerns during said inspection. They told me we did not have to go with them but they would appreciate it if we did. They dropped off materials in my yard without consent. I tried to call and got no answer. Then they showed up and did the roof 7 am on a Saturday without letting us know. I still have no copy of a contract. Only a copy of an invoice which is ****** priced. And still receiving threats of wrecking my credit. Upon speaking with **** she said the price was so high due to Covid19. Which is ridiculous considering many local companies were quoting me ***** And AmeriPro did not replace any lumber only tar paper and shingles. After speaking with neighbors I found out they are storm chasers . I am not refusing to pay for services rendered just not their over inflated price.

In response to this complaint, I will lay out the timeline here of events that transpired.   On 10/12/21, the homeowners signed a contract with our office that was contingent on the insurance company approving the claim.  Essentially states that should the insurance company approve the claim, they would use us as the general contractor.  If was denied, then contract becomes null and voided.  We met with the adjuster and the homeowner and the insurance company approved the roof to be replaced.   I attached a copy of the insurance estimate as well as our invoice to show that we are matching the insurance company's price.  While I do understand the homeowner is not happy with the price, the contract clearly states that we will do the work for what insurance agrees to pay out on the claim.  In this case, the insurance company paid for the house roof, a contract was signed and we charged accordingly.  The only out of pocket expense from the homeowner is their deductible.  Materials were delivered on 11/24/21.  That same date, our sales team and ***************** team both spoke to the homeowners that day.  So the allegations that they were unable to reach anyone is false.  We have the recorded calls from the homeowner first trying to claim they did not know that they signed a contract.  Then later on a different call and with sales stated that they were having a financial hardship and could not afford the deductible.  We explained that we offer financing and payment plans if needed to help.  We also explained that the insurance company paid for additional items that we were not doing and they could use those funds to cover the deductible as well.  On that call, they stated that they understood and were good with us moving forward with the project.  On Friday 12/3, the crew showed up and were unable to work due to cars blocking the driveway.  Our Production team and our sales team and our ***************** team all called and sent texts to the homeowner on Friday to let them know the crew was ready to work.  We left voicemails and were never able to reach anyone.  The notes and previous calls all indicated that the homeowner was onboard with the project moving forward.  ******** returned the next day and were able to work that Saturday.  We were never able to speak with the homeowner, but she was fully aware we had a crew on the way.  There was no discussion prior to the crew coming out stating she wanted materials to be removed or job placed on hold.  On 12/6/21, she contacted our office saying that she heard from another company that they would have done the work for cheaper and so she wants us to match the price they offered.  As stated earlier, we do not set the prices.  ********************* dictates the cost of repairs and then we do the work for that cost.  Having your roof replaced is not like shopping at ******* with coupons where they will match prices.  A contract was signed, the terms of the contract were reviewed and discussed with the homeowners the same day materials were delivered.  We have calls that they were good to move forward.  We understand the homeowners are dealing with a financial hardship at this time, but our company has been nothing but upfront about the process.  A company cannot be expected to lower the invoice down because the homeowner believes they could keep thousands of dollars from the insurance company.  The out of pocket stays the same regardless as the only out of pocket is the deductible.  Attempting to profit from an insurance claim is illegal.  Since receiving this complaint, we have attempted to call and email with no response.  Full payment is expected to be made because if no payment is made, the account will go into default and can be reported to the credit bureaus.  This is a consequence you would get from any company.  That is not what we want to do though.   We hope ********************* will contact our office back so we can discuss this further with her and see what we can do to help her.

************************* came to our house representing American Dream Home improvement/ dba/ Ameripro Roofing We had a leak from the roof around the chimney due to the flashing being detached from the chimney. If we gave the job to his company. He agreed to remove the stones from the chimney put the flashing up against the chimney and lay the roof. They never removed the stones and he laid me to believe that they were able to put the flashing up into the chimney without removing the stones. I complained to him on January 3,2022 and on January 5, *********************************************************************** that the job was done correctly. This was his efforts to continue to deceive me, which he had continued to do all along. They did not install the roof correctly and on the first heavy rain water poured into my home and has poured every time it rains. We now have mold in that area and I have COPD and am concerned that I may need to leave my house due to this situation.

Our company has tried to discuss the issues with *************************.  When we have contacted her, she has ended the call and has not been allowing us to assist her with the matter.  We contacted ************************* again on 1/19/22.  We explained that we understand that she had a leak in the chimney area prior to us performing any work.  It seems there was an agreement that our company would replace the flashing.  When we reached out on 1/19/22, we advised her of 2 things.  1. In this complaint, she requested a billing adjustment.  We have already applied a $1,000 discount to reflect her account be paid in full since that was what she initially requested.  2. in addition to this billing adjustment, we also advised her that we could have a crew come out to the property.  She would need to find a masonry company to remove the stones from the chimney, we would have our crew there the same day and replace the flashing.  Then the masonry crew could place the stones back on the chimney.  When we told her what our plan was, she simply hung up on us.  All of this information was also emailed to her on 1/19/22 when she ended the call.  if ************************* is really interested in resolving her complaint, we request that she either 1. contact our office back so we can work together on coordinating getting a crew to meet a masonry company to replace this flashing or 2. she is welcome to hire another company to replace the flashing and provide us the invoice for that.  She can reach the ***************** Manager, ****, at ********************** or email her at *************************************.  We look forward to resolving this complaint once we hear back from her.

      Complaint: 16469174

I am rejecting this response because:***************************** Sales Representative for Ameripro Roofing verbal promised to remove the stone from around the our chimney and laying the flashing up against the chimney.  He also agreed to replace the gutters which was never done.  As a result of his misrepresentation of what was to be done after they improperly installed the roof we continue to have leaking from the roof around the chimney area as we had originally plus leaking in other areas as well. On January 3, 2022 I noticed the leak and I immediately called Ameripro Roofing and as with *********************** and begged her to send someone out to repair the roof. She agreed but they never came out.  I then call and spoke with someone by the name of ****** whom stated that he was the general manager.  He too stated that someone would come out to put a tarp on the and make repairs soon.  They never came.  As a result of their delays we continue to have damaged to our house.  They breached the contract by refusing to come out.  I dont know where they are getting this from but we never agreed to settle our claim against them for a thousand dollars. On 10/8/21 ******************** came to our house and use deceptive practices in getting us to sign the document that they are now referring to as a contract.  ******************* stated that the document that we were signing was an agreement for him to come back out when the insurance adjuster was there so that they could inspect the roof together. On 10/8/21 ******************** had not even inspected the roof because for one it was dark when he arrived at my house and secondly.  He had not even gotten on the roof.  He didnt go on the roof until 10/13/21 so he couldnt possibly know the extent of damage to the roof on 10/8/21. Ameripro have and they continue to be deceptive in my dealings with them.  We have tried to negotiate with them in good faith but they continue with these deceptive practices.  We want a full refund of the funds that we have paid them because they refused to come out when I made repeated calls begging them to put a tarp on the roof to prevent further damages and for them to make the necessary repairs immediately.  If the refused to come out after just two months after the installed the roof how can we trust that they will come in the future if theres any other problems.

      Sincerely,

      *********************************

You had a leak coming in your living room.  Our sales representative inspected your roof with your insurance company.  Your insurance company identified that the roof had been damaged from a recent wind or hail storm and deemed that the roof needed to be replaced.  You signed a contract on 10/8/21 for us to replace the roof per your insurance companys estimate.
You indicated that there was a verbal discussion with your sales representative, ****, about us removing the stones from your chimney and then us installing the chimney flashing and then you would have the stones replaced by a masonry.  That agreement is not documented on the contract, nor where you or **** able to provide me with anything in writing that this agreement existed.  I have attached the contract showing there was no agreement on here.  Also, per the terms on the back of the contract, line item #** states that any agreement not in writing is agreed to be immaterial.
Our company replaced your roof on November 3, 2021.  At that time, the crew did make sure to replace the chimney flashing according to manufacturer specifications.  ******** even removed the decking around the chimney and replaced that as well.  Photos showing that are attached.
On January 3, 2022, you reported that there was a leak coming into the living room in the same area that you had a leak prior to the roof being replaced.  It was explained to you then, that the cause of the leak is coming from the actual mortar on the chimney and you needed to have your chimney inspected.
You contacted the BBB and your desired resolution stated was that you wanted a billing adjustment.  You owed $1000 at that time.  We understood that you felt mislead regarding the stones on the chimney.  So even though we are not responsible to cover the cost of the chimney repairs, we did go ahead and close the account, crediting the remainder $1,000 so you could hire a masonry company to replace the stones and fix any leaks as we are not a masonry contractor and this is work our company does not do. We stated that even though there is no issue with the chimney flashing, we would have a crew and a Production Manager return to the property.  We would need you to contact a masonry company to remove the stones as we would not want to do this ourselves.  Someone not skilled in removing those stones could jeopardize the integrity of the chimney itself.  After the stones were removed, we would re-do the chimney flashing again.  We suggested that the masonry company then inspect the chimney itself to fix any issues with the mortar since we believe the leak is coming from there.  We told you we would not charge you to re-do this section.  We again, instructed you that for all invoices you received for the interior repairs/tv should be submitted to your insurance company.  For the interior damages, I have attached a copy of your insurance estimate. Your insurance company has paid you $1,218.47 for the interior damages that existed prior.  Those funds are what you would use to address the interior damages.  In the event that the cost for interior repairs is more than what the insurance company paid out already, you would just need to provide your insurance adjuster the estimates/invoices for that and they will make sure to compensate you for those repairs.  Since the leaks were pre-existing and do not appear to be caused by our workmanship, there should be no issue with them covering those invoices. Our offer still stands for you to hire a masonry company to remove the stones.  We would have a crew and Production Manager replace the chimney flashing again.  Your masonry company would address any leaks coming from the chimney itself and replace the stones.  Any masonry work needed is solely your responsibility as the homeowner.  As for all interior damages you have suffered from the leak, if in excess of what your adjuster initially estimated, you simply need to reach out to your adjuster and provide photos and receipts.  There should be no issue with them covering those charges, but again, AmeriPro can not be held liable for a leak that was pre-existing and then in turn found out that the leak is not caused by our workmanship.

I am rejecting this response because:The leak is coming from the roof being improperly installed because the stones were not removed so that the flashing could be installed up against the chimney wall.  The leak is coming from around the flashing.  Please see insurance adjuster report.

      Sincerely,

The inspection document from the insurance company attached clearly states the following, "The rock chimney near the center of the front slope shows new flashing.  The flashing appears in good condition with no obvious malfunctions."  Later in the document it states again, "There is evidence of leaking on the ceiling of the living room in the residence, but that damage repair has been paid for on the prior claim and those repairs have not yet been completed."  It states the leak is coming from the chimney, which we are already aware of and have advised repeatedly to have a masonry company come out and remove the stones.  We can replace the chimney flashing.  Your masonry company would inspect and make any repairs to your chimney and add the rocks back.  At no time have we denied coming out to do this.  You are not allowing us to come out there and help you so at this time, we do not feel like there is anything else we can do to help you until you schedule a masonry company and allow us to come out there.   Again, the interior damage was paid out for already and that letter you attached confirms you were paid for the repairs and that the leak was pre-existing.  Unless the customer allows us to help, we request the complaint be closed.

I am rejecting this response because:The installation of the roof was done incorrectly.  The stone around chimney should have been removed and the flashing installed against the chimney to insure proper seal between the flashing and the chimney.  As the adjuster stated that here is still leaking from that area and the only obvious point of entry.  I was finally able to have a masonry to come and look at the chimney and he concluded that flashing was not installed correctly because stones were not removed f Im around the chimney to ensure a proper seal of that the flashing around the chimney.  I have enclosed his estimate to remove and replace stone.  This is what ***************************** assured me that Ameripro would be doing when we gave him our business.  The picture that he sent me on November 5, 2021 was to reassure me that we wouldnt have any problems with that area leaking.  Clearly that wasnt the case.  It has continued to leak since the installation.

      Sincerely,

We have repeatedly now stated what we would offer to settle this.  At this time, it is clear we will not be able to reach an agreement and we have previously advised ************************* that as soon as her attorney contacts us, we will discuss a resolution from there.  Until we hear back from her attorney, there is not much else we can all do here at this time as ************************ and our company are not in agreement with her terms.

      Hello *************************,

As stated prior, the invoice you received (which is attached) along with your insurance estimate (which is attached) shows gutters were not included in your invoice.  The invoice only mentions roof and the total matches the line items listed on your estimate showing we matched the insurance companys price for the roof only.  The terms of your contract state that we will match the price from your insurance company.  They have agreed to pay out $2,120.22 for the gutters.  We will not do the gutters for free.

As stated in previous emails, your leak was pre-existing and was coming in from your chimney. It is still leaking from your chimney.  The leak is not related to the work we completed and is not a direct result of our workmanship.  Your insurance company approved to pay for the interior damages.  I advised you prior that in most cases, insurance companies will draft up an initial estimate for all repairs on a claim.  If the cost for the repairs exceeds what insurance initially agreed to pay, then the estimates simply needed to be sent to the adjuster and they would supplement the claim (pay for it). However, for whatever reason, you chose to call your adjuster out there and blame us for the leak.  Now the adjuster took that as an opportunity to not pay out anything additionally.  (This is what insurance adjusters do-look for ways to not pay out on a claim.)  Since you have been dead set on blaming our company for a problem that was pre-existing before we even came out to the property, your adjuster is just going to take your word for it and now not pay out supplements.  This is why you are in the situation you are in with them not covering everything.  Additionally, I have offered numerous times to send the crew out to replace the flashing.  For the past 2 months, you have denied us that opportunity.  Your leak continues to get worse, which is increasing the amount of interior damages you have.  Since we have not been provided the opportunity to remedy this situation, of course it is going to get worse the longer you drag this out and by you convincing the adjuster to not pay.  Our company is not liable for any of the interior damages.  You have made this process so difficult and involved so many parties that all this has done is drag this out, while all we are trying to do is make you happy/satisfied.  While we are not liable for any of the pre-existing interior damages you have or continue to have, I am trying to go above and beyond for you and settle this with a check for $2,000.  I will not be offering to pay for all of your interior damages that are caused from a leak that was pre-existing and for the last 2 months of being denied the opportunity to remedy the situation.

At no point with any of our communications have I told you we would not come out and re-do the flashing so you can have your chimney repaired.  At no point have we told you we will not do the gutters, just that I will not do them for free.  At no point have I refused to help you with the interior damages, I am simply not paying for damages that were pre-existing or continue to get worse due to you not working with our company.  My offer has been fair and generous.  If anyone else on this email has a suggestion to get this resolved, I am open to hearing any other ideas.  Ultimately this is your home and the decision is yours on how to move forward.  But we will remain at this stand still until you allow us to work with you.

I am rejecting this response because:

      To whom it may concern

I am rejecting the resolution that Ameripro Roofing had recently sent for numerous reasons but mostly importantly is that they breached their contact with us by not honoring their warranty.
We reject their offer because it doesnt compensate for all of the damages due to their neglect.   Ameripro has breached their warranty contract with us by not repairing our roof and has continued to avoid repairs or replacements of damages caused by their negligence.

      *************************,

Since the only item we can currently agree on is the chimney flashing being done and this is the item we would need to address first anyway, I want to at least not have any more delays with the chimney flashing.  Once that is done, we will revisit the other open items.  I will wait to hear from you on when ******************* can be there.

      Thank you,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The ***** came out removed the stone.  Ameripro came out and installed the flashing, and completed the roof installation.  I would like Ameripro to compensate me for the damages that I am left with so that we can put this ordeal behind us.

      Sincerely,

I am trying to work with ameripro to come fix and finish the siding on my house. I hired them to do the job on September 9th. Material was delivered on October 11th and they came to put the siding and window trim on November 2nd. Since then I have had little to no luck with them fixing anything. damages incurred and still present are light fixture screws, water spicket screws, electrical outlets to exterior loose, downspout gutters dented and damages, damage to shingles, improper caulking, not installing window wraps, damages to current window wraps. I was told numerous times by ***************************, ***************************, and now a man by the name of ******* that I would have resolve and that all would be fixed before any payment was to be received. December 13th 2021 and I am still waiting for my home to be fixed and finished. I am more than happy to pay for the job once this is finished.
