              My fiancé and I have been attempting to close our account for the past 3 days & have requested our funds to be mailed to us via check. We keep getting the run around from customer support line. We have made attempts to contact the representatives via the app. At this point, our funds are being held and they’re not closing our account after multiple days & 3+ attempts/requests to do so. It’s frustrating, I have never heard of a bank taking more than 20 minutes to process a transaction of this kind.

              I used to love this bank. Friendly customer service, helpful no matter what the issue, but lately they are falling off. No matter how debits come in, they charge off larger amounts and then charge overdrafts on the remaining charges which results in quite a few charges. And the biggest issue. My account was hacked and I closed the account as suggested and opened a new except I could not get a debit card at any branch. Said they were out of ink and could not print them! So I had no access to my money except to withdraw cash. This lasted for at least three business days.

              Thank you for being a valued member. We understand an account compromise can be stressful. Member account safety and security is a priority at Scott Credit Union. Depending on the type of compromise, closing an account and opening a new account number is the best course of action. We apologize for any inconvenience caused while the debit card printer was temporarily out of service at your preferred location. In review of our systems, the items in question posted in settlement order based on the date and time received from the processing network. The transactions were not processed based on dollar amounts. All fees due to the account compromise have been refunded. Thank you for choosing Scott Credit Union.
