After waiting 3 weeks for an appointment to get our Jeep inspected for a corrosion issue and taking the day off to go in we had a terrible experience. Our jeep is barely 3 years old well within the 5 year unlimited mileage corrosion warranty. The service manager *************************** refused to file a claim with Jeep for the issue. In fact he wouldn't even look at the truck at all. He said he couldn't get parts so there was no reason to file a warranty claim. I asked how **** could know what parts were needed if there was no claim and he said again he couldn't get parts but that we could call back every week until he gets the mystery parts for our repair. I asked what happens if it takes longer than the remaining warranty period to get the parts and he said we would be "screwed" if that happens. I asked if there was a list we need to get on to get the parts and he said "he wouldn't put us on a list even if he could." Fortunately another dealer filed the claim for us without an appointment. Turns out we needed 3/4 doors replaced plus the tailgate and all the hinges.

Our apologies for a frustrating experience. It has been our experience that a claim like this would not be processed under the current warranty system. We hope you have found a successful solution and still hope we can be of service to you in the future.

Simply dishonest. While the new vehicle sold to us was misrepresented and we only put 500 miles on it in 2 months, they wanted us to eat 20% of the value even though we just wanted to exchange or purchase another vehicle that has the features we requested. Now I guess we have to go through the lemon law attorneys versus just fair, ethical negotiations.

It is unfortunate that the hybrid Jeep Wrangler does not perform as expected by this customer. Her husband purchased the vehicle from ** and appeared to be very aware and educated as to what he was buying. Our offer to buy the vehicle back from them is based on the market value of the vehicle which takes into account the $7500 federal tax credit on similar new vehicles and current market conditions. We dont mean to offend them. They are free to accept our offer or look elsewhere. We made our trade offer in good faith and with good intention. Of course we would like to sell them another vehicle, but it needs to work for them and us.
