Ladies & Luggage Travel Group abruptly closed its business on October 16, 2024, leaving myself and many women in the dust! Trips were canceled and payment plans were stopped. There has been no recourse in getting refunds on the trips we paid for. My "Signature Negril Experience -*** Edition" is no more... I spent a total of $3,43.95 for this 'curated' experience. Fortunately, I have been able to recover some of my funds through my bank. ($1,212.56) I am still due $1,831.94 by Ladies & Luggage. There has been a lot of smoke and mirrors' from the owner ***** ***** and her attorney that she has obtained. We just want our hard-earned money returned!Initial Complaint

I paid for a trip to ***** that was cancelled by this company for not enough participants going. They claimed they could not refund my money because vendors would not refund their deposits. I was told that they were filing a claim with their insurance company. This is a travel group who conducts these type of trips on a monthly if not daily basis, in order to secure the trip vendors, hotels , tour guides, transportation etc.. have to be secured which requires a down payment at minimum. As an avid traveler I don't know what company that will pay these things if there is not enough participants to take the trip. The trip was cancelled July 2, 2024 when departure was scheduled for Aug 17, 2024. I had already purchased my plane tickets along with other items. The lack of transparency along with lack of communication was very unethical and deceptive. I was also making monthly payments on a second trip to ********* which was scheduled for Jan. 17 - 20, 2025. On Oct. 16th, I received an email that the company was closing and all trips were cancelled. Again, they stated they were filing claims with their insurance company. They promised to provide letters to clients with insurance so we could file claims with our individual insurance companies. As of today, Dec. 4, 2024 none of this has been provided. On their website they ask for people not to engage in friendly fraud by requesting charge backs but they are engaging in friendly fraud when they continued to draft people accounts for a trip that wasn't going to take place. I have reached out to them a few times regarding my refund. I keep getting generic messages about they noted the request. I want my money because at this point I feel like fraud has taken place.Initial Complaint

I made 5 deposits for a vacation through Ladies and Luggage on July 5, July 12, Aug 12, Sept 12 & Oct 12. The vacation was to take place July 2025 only for CEO ***** ***** to announce on October 16 via email that she was abruptly closing the group. She has mentioned nothing about a refund and now she has just down the ******** group as well. I am not getting what I paid for and would like a full refund. There are numerous other women who have been scammed by her. Instead of her giving us updates about any type of refunds her emails are about trying to sell the last of group merchandise as if anyone would give her anymore money.Initial Complaint

I booked a trip for my mother, ******* *******, and myself called Opulence on the Orient, July 6th-10th, 2024. I made two deposits of $600.00 USD per person on September 30th, 2022. I continued to make monthly payments of $441.67 USD every month throughout 2022, 2023, and 2024. I have credit card statements, itinerary, invoices, and email correspondence directly from Ladies & Luggage proving our payments in full. For my mothers trip, I made a payment of $441.67 USD on October 31st, 2023 and a large payment of $7,508.33 on February 26th, 2024.The trip was $8,550.00 per person, grand total of $17,100.00 USD. On June 28th 2024, my mother and I joined the Zoom call where Dacia admitted, "I don't even know if we're all going ya'll." The Orient Express trip that I have been paying for since 2022 was overbooked. ***** KNEW there were not enough spots for everyone on the trip. The trip was oversold. My mother and I logged into this zoom call from ****** ready to start the trip!My last Whatsapp message from ***** was on July 2nd, 2024 and my latest email from her was on September 24th, 2024. Dacias latest note reads, I wasn't aware that you still hadn't received the refund, I was under the impression you only needed a letter for insurance and I've. ot heard from the other lady that was waiting as well. It has been MONTHS and she still has nearly $20,000 USD of my money. They are SCAMMING me and my mother. ********************* and Ladies & Luggage has stolen my money. They rendered ZERO services to me and my mother. We went on no trip at all. Today, October 16th, 2024, I see that ***** sent out an email claiming that her company is shutting down, effective immediately. Their social media groups/accounts have shuttered. It is VERY CLEAR ***** ***** and Ladies & Luggage are committing FRAUD. Today, October 16th, 2024, I still have not received any refund. I made a down payment (****** Nov 23) and purchased the **** WINE TOUR (remaining ******* Dec 23-May 24) with Ladies and Luggage. Trip was scheduled 9/27/24-10/1/24. Final payment was made (256.95) 5/24, Ladies and Luggage then notified me 6/24 via Ladies and Luggage Luxury Travel Group email (attached) that this trip was cancelled due to not reaching minimal number of participants. I was offered to transfer funds to a future trip-I declined, I requested a refund. I was notified that my refund request was noted on my account,and informed to continue to communicate via the Travel Joy platform. After two weeks of no status update on my refund, I attempted to access Travel Joy site, an received an error message. Sent 3-4emails to Ladies & Luggage, no response, I left a VM requesting a call no response. On **, they are advertising trips, I request communication-no response. 9/23/24 I contact CEO ***** ***** on ** no response; I contact ****** ****** for refundstatus she replies with an apology says email will come from ****** 9/25 I reach out again ****** forwards an email (attached) to me&others offers apologies for delay states refunds will be processed asking for our patience. 10/1/24 ******* no refund I contact both ************** for refund no response. Ive asked repeatedly on ** for refund status-my comments deleted, ability to comment was limited, access to private platform of L&L Travel was revoked, and Ive been deleted from the ** group all together. Ladies and Luggage has ceased communication with me, I have not been given refund of $2898.95. On September 23, 2023 I paid Ladies and Luggage $2899.00 for a trip that was scheduled for April *****, 2024 in ******* **. In February 2024 we had a zoom meeting saying the trip maybe cancelled due to low participation. In March 2024 we had another zoom meeting where it was decided that the trip will be cancelled. At that time, ***** ***** (owner of Ladies & Luggage) apologized and said they would make it right. She made a list of who wanted credit towards another trip and who wanted a refund. I elected the latter. She asked everyone to give her a couple of months to process the transactions. I contacted ***** ***** via ******** Messenger on July 15, 2024 regarding the refund. No reply. I contacted her again on September 16, 2024 only to find out she blocked my messages. I have not received any further communication from Ladies & Luggage since the zoom call back in March. I paid in good faith and had every intention of taking the trip. THEY cancelled the trip and I expect a full refund. Any help or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. $2899.00 is a lot on money for me.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by Ms. Ellison. We understand the frustration and disappointment that can arise from a canceled trip, and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience experienced by the client.
Regarding the Atlanta trip, we indeed held multiple Zoom meetings in early 2024 to keep participants informed about the status of the trip. During these meetings, we discussed the the delays in refunds.
Since March, we have sent no fewer than five updates regarding the status of refunds to keep our clients informed. Additionally, we held two town hall meetings, with the last one being held on September 13th, specifically addressing the refund process, where clients could get updates and ask questions. We are sorry to hear that Ms. Ellison may have missed these communications.
The client also mentioned attempting to contact Dacia Woods via Facebook Messenger in July and September. Please note that we require all communication regarding refunds to go through our customer service email at [email protected]. This is clearly stated in our communications, as it ensures that all requests are documented and managed by the appropriate team. We would like to clarify that Ms. Woods does not actively monitor Facebook Messenger, and it is not an official channel for client inquiries.
After a review, we also confirm that Ms. Ellison is not blocked from our public Facebook community, and we encourage her to check for updates there as well. Our goal is to resolve all refund requests as soon as possible, and we continue to work diligently to fulfill these commitments.

On Nov 8, 2023, I booked a Cruise with Ladies & Luggage Luxury Travel Group. The total amount paid was $2770.00. The cruise was cancelled on March 11. On April 16, I email the agency and was told the trip had been cancelled. I was given the option of using my funds for another trip or receiving a full refund. I opted for the refund. I was told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks. I requested several times that it be expedited but it was not honored. On May 16, I decided to apply a portion of my refund ($936.44) to a previously booked Dubai trip and requested that the remainder be refunded to me ($1844.56). Ive sent multiple messages to admin and to the CEO only to be ignored or to receive one delay after another. This trip was cancelled in March, and I seek reimbursement in the amount of $1833.56 On Feb 2, 2024, I booked the **************** Retreat. It promised a luxurious fun fill, relaxing by the pool, indulging in deliciously prepared foods created by a private chef getaway. There was no private pool, and the chef cancelled. The food served was a far cry from anything that you would expect from a luxurious travel group. It was a gross display of negligence to those with dietary restrictions and to those of us who just expected healthier options; no fresh vegetables, no healthy green salads. For the amount of money paid for this trip it was deeply disappointing. Equally disappointing is the pretense that this is a caring, sisterly organization. As a result of my stance on trying to obtain answers and trying to obtain a refund I have been blocked from their network and removed from their private ******** page. As a consumer, I have the right voice my concerns and I also have the right to request a resolution. I am seeking a full refund in the amount of $1699.00 as without the services advertised (personal chef, private pool, beauties in blue pool party) I would not have booked this trip at all. Ladies and luggage travel agency advertised traveling trips but once the trip is paid in full they canceled trip .and will not refund I have had 3 trips canceled . I just thought ok things happen so I would pick another trip and it cost more money once I finish paying they canceled trip .unfortunately I didn't realize the scam until it was too late. I have called and emailed so so many times ladies and luggage scammed me out of approximately ******* I am a senior citizen and I NEED my money ladies and luggage refuses to refund my money. every time I emailed for refund I'm told check back in another 30 days. I have called 30 days and another 30 days and now still no refund they say the r multi million dollar company is it from scamming senior citizens like myself . I have seen the other complaints they wait until trip is pay in full and then cancel they pull u in by offering a chat community and sisterhood community talk about supporting senior citizens and then they offer trips then cancel once they have your money. ******* is a lot of money they r stealing from a senior citizen and won't I have tried everything to get my money back they just say the same thing every 30 days . there r more women like me there r going to file also I just couldn't wait any longer I need money now ladies and luggage have scammed others senior citizens and other young women too. this company let greed take over and I deserve my money back after canceling 3 of the trips they offered each one was more and more money and then after last payment they cancel. We take pride in our transparency and have never engaged in any fraudulent activities, nor would we ever scam our clients.
Unfortunately, Ms. ******* is correct in stating that some trips she had planned to attend were canceled. These cancellations were due to low participation, which is something we clearly outline as a possibility in our terms and conditions. However, the most recent trip she signed up for was not canceled, but rather postponed. In such cases, we always offer clients the option to either move to the rescheduled trip or transfer to another trip of their choice. Ms. ******* opted to transfer to another trip, which we facilitated without additional cost to her.
We understand Ms. ******** frustration, and we truly regret that she feels scammed. As a company that has built trust within the travel community, our track record is widely visible on social media, and we are proud to serve our clientsmany of whom return to travel with us repeatedly, including Ms. ******** She has traveled with us before and is familiar with the level of service we provide.
Ms. ******* is also correct in noting that she has called and emailed us multiple times. We take all communication seriously and respond to 99% of the inquiries we receive. However, on occasions when she has left voicemails or emails using profane language, our team has refrained from responding, as we do not engage in conversations that are confrontational or disrespectful. This policy is in place to maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with all clients.
We acknowledge that, like many companies, we have experienced some operational bumps in the road, but we are committed to resolving any outstanding issues. We have never refused a refund and continue to address all valid concerns in accordance with our policies.

I booked a trip with Ladies And Luggage. I made my first payment of August 2023 for $200. I made six payments for $490 and one cent and two payments of $1000 each they cancel my trip July 2 of ********************************************************************** that they was gonna give me my money back. Give me my money back and its been two months and a day two days since and I still dont have my refund and so I filed with my credit card people Complaint to get my money back and the Ladies And Luggage should not have canceled. The trip said they didnt have enough people to go on the trip and they knew this early because they didnt have enough people to take the flight and travel with them on different trips and this is the first trip I had issue with and they should refund my money back. I said several email only to get a response that I will get my money back and then they just started responding so they radio silent with me. .I would like for them to give me my money back all of it and its just not fair that they would do this to me. They did the council trip with me for me and several of my friends and got our money back. They gave us an option to do a few ship trip in 2025 but I already have my 2025 year plan so I just want my money back. Thank you.
