    On May /05/2023 After I got off work, I stop at Emporium liquor store in ******** ******** on landing rd at 3:30pm to purchase a lottery ticket. I got in line waited my turn, handed the lady who said to me. Shes the only one that works there my ticket numbers to play, she looks at me angrily and states.. we shut the lottery down from 3:00pm-4:00pm Im doing you a favor by doing these tickets. Now, my question is, How can you shut down the lottery, when its supposed to be up and running until it end for the evening. I remembered I had a couple of scratch offs so, I handed them to her. She refused to cash them. She yelled at me and said Im not doing your tickets!!! But, as soon as another customer came in to play their lottery she took them, over and over again, when she had just told me, the lottery was shut down. I asked for the boss, she stated, she was the boss, I asked for the owner his name is ****** she then proceeded to say how she was in a relationship with him, and that hes not going to do anything about it. Someone need to do something about how this store is ran. They shouldnt be allowed to treat customers disrespectfully and shut down the state lottery when they want too.

    Good evening, **********************;

         I am *********************** manager at emporium liquors. We do be shutting down the lottery between 3 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday because there is a school close by the our business and kids get out around 3:15 and we get a lot of rush due to the fact we close the lottery around that time . All my employee asked her was our lottery is close at that time , but she was not aware (customer) of it. She went on ahead and played he the numbers. She did one transaction on the lottery already for her but she wanted to keep on going calling number online and customers have to fill the slips to play lottery then she started disrespecting my employee and then my employee asked her to leave but she didnt. She was demanding to talk to the manager. I was not at the store when my employee called me. She was being so loud and rude to my employee while I was on the phone. Then I asked my employee to tell her to leave, but she stayed there in the store. Then we had call cops on her and then she moved out of store. She was also accusing ** me and employee in a relationship. She is my moms age. I call her aunty we are in business last 8 years in this location we never have had any problems. She was in a strange attitude this week she came in the store did the same exact thing while she was with her husband, but her husband was trying to calm her down. She was steady disrespectful towards my employee.
