A man presenting himself as an audiologist sold me two sets of hearing aids over $5000 each set. Both quit working soon after and he continued to try to talk me into buying more. I went to an actual audiologist who fixed my hearing aids in seconds. He is a crook and dishonest man whom preys on the elderly. He’s had a lot of complaints and lawsuits.

This is outright slander and defamation.  We have documentation to refute your claims.  Removing this complaint may be in your best interest.

I have no interest in claiming to be audiologists.  Many of them are worthless when it comes to working with hearing aids and actually getting the results we consistently provide for our patients.
I specialize in the absolute best hearing aid service and products available.  That specifically is what I do all day every day for the last 24 years.  I eat, breath, and sleep helping people hear better without diluting my skills in balance and vestibular issues.
As to advertising, we haven't done any on over five years other than some digital stuff that our website manager handles on our behalf.  You are just making up random silly stuff.
We keep a full schedule that is booked weeks in advance by taking the absolute best care possible of everyone who walks through our doors.

We have never once been sued or had a judgement against us.  I have not had one in my 24 years in business.  Zero is not a lot by any standard.
Contrast this with the complainant who does not show up half the time for her appointments and ask who the dishonest person in this interaction is.
I have always said exactly what I would do and done exactly that.  You are no exception.

You have purchased one pair of hearing aids from my company on 9/13/17.
We took such good care of you that when you chose to purchase a pair of hearing aids from Nation's Hearing on 8/19/21 you wanted us to provide your service on them.
That was over two years ago, and this is the first time I have been made aware that you were dissatisfied with the hearing aids, me, my staff, or the service that we provide.
That second pair was purchased from Nation's Hearing, but you insisted on having us provide service because we had taken flawless care of you since before you even purchased devices from us.
On 2/23/17 and 9/8/17 we provided you such great service that you decided to come back and purchase devices from us the following week.

We cannot fix problems we are not made aware of, and we also cannot fix problems when you no show, or cancel your appointment, which I show you having done 18 times over the last six and a half years.
We never once charged you for these, when we should have.
I am glad you found someone who got you what you want.
Hopefully they want to have you waste 18 valuable slots on their schedule and we can allocate our time to people who are more appreciative, responsible, and respectful.
Had we been provided the same opportunity to fix whatever you needed on your hearing aid and you actually bothered to show up for your appointment, you would likely have gotten the same results at our office.

We provide a 30-day refund period.  On the one pair of hearing aids you purchased from Absolute Audio, that option expired 2,245 days ago.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I want nothing from you or your business. I have a right to voice my dissatisfaction. To start a response to my claim with threatening wording, stating “audiologists are worthless,” calling me unappreciative, irresponsible, and disrespectful, immediately shows your lack of not only professional character but also moral character. I am an elderly woman who has depended on rides to my appointments. I have been I’ll on and off for several years. So my attendance to these appointments should have some empathy which most professionals would have. But instead your response is to attack my character. You showed yours. I am happy I voiced my experience. I thought I was getting good care from you until I saw the difference when I went to a professional doctor. I will pray for you that you take better care of your patients in an honest manner. Good luck in your future endeavors.

    Sincerely,

The disconnect between the reality and the message was stunning and indicates the message was not even sent by our patient.
Then I noticed it was from a different email account.  That would make sense.  I've had colleague's who's have told similar stories.
The story usually goes something like this:  Family member does not actually care enough about their parent to attend their hearing healthcare appointments and participate in helping them get the best outcomes possible, but they find out that their parent spent what they see as their inheritance and start involving themselves in the process after the fact prioritizing their greed over their parent's well-being. That is some evil, dark stuff.

I am rejecting this response because:

You have a wonderful imagination. You should probably see a psychiatrist. Unless they are worthless too? I will no longer respond to you. Thank you for showing who you are. That’s all I needed. I use my family members computer and often email since I don’t own a computer. But thanks for the fictional story you told the BBB and myself it was again enlightening.

    Sincerely,

We visited absolute audio, my hearing was tested, and we were charged $5058.00. We were told that it would be refund of $2,000.00 through our insurance company. ***** ********* gave me some hearing aids, and they were not the ones that were approved through our insurance. He gave me his personal hearing aids. We talked to the insurance company and they informed us to return the hearing aids back to ***** *********. ***** ********* stated that he if we kept the hearing aids and he would give us a $1000.00 and 5 years of office visit. This was all by mouth. We took him up on his offer and then we contacted the insurance company again. We were informed that we would lose out on our deductible if we kept the hearing aids. I Returned the hearing aids and I am still out of $400.00. ***** ********* stated that we are being charged $400.00 for a restocking fee for returning the hearing aids, which is not our fault, if he would have went through the insurance company we wouldn't have went through all of this. I would like to be refunded in the amount of $400.00

Before discussing, we are required by law to get HIPPA release signed.  In the meantime, if the patient is dissatisfied with our offices policies, pricing, and procedures, they need to contact *** and cancel their current order.

The insurance company contacted them and when they did this they took it off my charge card, $400.00.
