  Sylvan Learning Center of McHenry is a tutoring center which assists children in elementary school through high school who need assistance in reaching their academic goals, balancing extracurricular activities and other responsibilities, developing self-confidence, and learning other skills that will help them succeed in school and beyond. Located in Harvard, IL, this center serves McHenry, Johnsburg, Richmoor, Wonder Lake, Lakemoor, Woodstock, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Spring Grove, and the Marengo-Harvard and Southern Wisconsin areas. The center is part of the Sylvan Learning network, which has more than 900 locations across the country.
  
  This center assists children who are struggling in school to meet or exceed their academic goals, build confidence in their abilities, and develop skills such as patience, perseverance, responsibility, respect, and diligence. The process begins with a Sylvan Skills Assessment test which will determine the strengths and challenges that the individual faces, which can help to create a personalized program to help nurture the child's innate talents and improve skills they struggle with. Tutors are certified by the Sylvan training program and have expertise in the child's grade level to ensure that they are a good fit for the child.
