If I could give negative stars I would. I've been taking my dogs there to be groomed and on their last appointment the owner knew that ************ was present and posted about it on their ******** page. Problem is that I don't look at ********. Fast forward to 1 week after their hair appointments 2 of my dogs contracted kennel cough and the last 1 got full blown pneumonia. (Yes they all have their shots and no they didn't go anywhere besides Double J) After spending $200 at the vet I called just to let them know what happened. To my astonishment the receptionist told me that the owner told her not to put a sign up in the building because she posted on ********. Had I been made aware of the heightened risk I would have never allowed my dogs on the premises. ****** learned at my dogs expense. I will NEVER return.

We are sorry to hear that your dogs came down with ************, however in this industry, kennel cough is always a risk when dogs intermingle with other dogs. We dont manufacture kennel cough at our facility. A dog, usually asymptomatic, visits us and then it takes up to 14 days for symptoms to start. Not all people let us know, so at the time your dogs visited us, we only had a few cases reported at our ****** location. However, over the following week after your visit, we received more reports. We do our best to prevent it from spreading, however it is airborne and usually hits really hard in the summer months as more people are traveling. We have UV lights in our HVAC unit, change air filters weekly, run air purifiers and dehumidifiers throughout the year as well as add extra deep cleaning when it has hit us. Trust me, its frustrating for everyone. Just like when kids attend daycare, they seem to be sick a lot the first year and once their immune system is built up, they arent sick as often. If only the vaccine worked on all strains of the upper respiratory infections, however its just like our Flu/COVID vaccines it doesnt cover all strains, but usually minimizes the symptoms. We sure hope that they are all feeling better soon.
