*********************************** of Ultimate touch Construction worked on my basement to update rooms, add lighting and other electric elements, adjust plumbing and add and remove walls. During the process there were a number of issues that resulted in piping damaged, repair and rerepair. This lead to flooding and there were many project delays. ****************** completed the project about 2 weeks ago. However additional electrical elements were agree to be completed by his electrical team during the month of August. Ive tried to follow up with ****************** several times to confirm the completion of the electric work to no avail. Today the power in the area where ****************** installed lighting and electrical went completely out and would not turn back on despite resetting the all the breakers. This power outage included the outlet to the sump pump for the basement bathroom. The water back up has resulted in flooding. I have again reached out to ****************** several times and he has not responded. We remain with our power in a portion of our home and there is water under the flooring. I have more documentation that can be provided upon request.

      Complaint: 17683155

I am rejecting this response because:

The electricians ****************** placed on my job did not properly add electrical elements. For example the electrical elements added (lighting in the bedroom) was added to the circuit that includes my hot water heater.  The circuit was not sufficient and we lost power in the section of the basement containing the sump pump went out and was not able to be restored for over 24hrs.  ****************** was aware that my sump pump was on this circuit and needed its own exclusive circuit.  I had agreed to pay Mr. ******** electricians to have the circuit added and panels updated.  ****************** was not responsive to numerous contacts from myself and my family member regarding having this expedited.  The poor installation of the electric has caused a cascade of issues including the power going out the sump pump failing and flooding in my basement.  Mr.  ******* came by my house to review my concerns on 8/7/22 and agreed to have his son come take up the flooring and let it dry and reinstall  he stated his son was in isolation for Covid and would do the correction on 8/11/22 or 8/12/22.  He also stated he would reach out to the electricians about making the updates to add the exclusive circuit for the sump pump.  ****************** also stated the circuit breaker for area of  the basement was a 15 amp and he said a 20 amp could be installed.  Please note.  I already paid ****************** to increase the breaker from a 10 to a 15 when the original electrician was installing the lighting.

When I reached out to ****************** via text to inquire of hed heard back from the electricians he sent a text sharing he was unhappy that I filed a complaint with the BBB.  He has not responded since then.  I called ****************** prior to filing the complaint and left a vm stating I would be filing a complaint due to lack of responsiveness.   ****************** is aware that I have never accused him of working on my sump pump as the sump pump is not broken and works well when connected properly to power.

****************** has still not confirmed a resolution.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************************

we never change a breaker from 10 to 15 as far as i know there is no 10 amp breaker and yes i did tell her that i will have my son come

and help[ her with floor. until she understand that i did not do anything wrong i think i will just step back on this Tell us why here

      Complaint: 17683155

I am rejecting this response because:

Mr. Goodlows electrician was responsible for my power outage. The cascading events would not have taken place if the work was done properly and he was a honest, responsive, and professional. He guaranteed to myself and my family member that he would have is electricians complete the electrical upgrades (for an agreed upon additional fee) and he would have his son rectify the floor. Now, because he is upset because I exercised my rights as a consumer to share the poor work and business practices I experienced, he would like to take a step back or as I understand it not rectify his work and not take responsibility for the poor electrical work that his original electrician provided. This is not acceptable.  This is also not the first experience I had with Mr ************** crew providing subpar work and him trying to skirt accountability

****************** assured me the work performed on my project was insured and such insurance should be available to aid in rectifying such matters.  I in no way accept his resolution to take a step back while my home continues to be improperly wired and a circuit adapted by his electrician is overloaded.  Lastly Mr ************* most definitely told me part of the electrician fee I paid included upgrading the breaker from 10 to 15

      Sincerely,

      ***********************************
