July 28,2022 ******************** has never had an account with YRC Enterprises. They should not contact or try and coninue harassing for debt collection that does not belong to ******************** and any of its subsidiaries. They should furnish the original payment agreement and or document that shows signature or approval for this account, as again as stated have never dealt directly or had an account with YRC Freight. I want prompt removal of any debt collections along with cease of harassment from any debt collections agency including Brown & Joseph, LLC. Stop harassing small businesses especially with fraudulent accounts that are not theirs stated account number **********Business response

I received a letter from them on August 29th that was dated August 18th. I can't imagine it takes mail 11 days to get from ******** to ********* so they are already untrustworthy as far as I'm concerned. The letter was for a bill that I had paid three weeks prior to getting the letter from them. When I called to speak to them about the letter, nobody would answer any of my questions and kept telling me that I had to talk to the original client. I had questions about letter itself and how the process of collections worked so I could get it taken care of without it affecting my credit, and the representative would simply not give me any information about what I could do to take care of the issue. Why are they running a business trying to collect debt but refuse to help people when they call? This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received. Obviously when people call them, they are upset or confused or scared as to what to do or how to resolve it, so you would think they could train their employees to actually help people and not just tell them to call someone else. This company and their employees are an embarrassment to themselves.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Pointing out the fact that my credit was not affected is a terrible attempt at trying to deflect from the real problem. I am already aware that my credit was not affected and that is not the reason for the complaint. Getting a response from some random person who sits at a desk and responds to complaints all day is not sufficient at all. My guess is that if your employees were held accountable for the way they treated people, they wouldnt be treating people that way in the first place. Perhaps you should train your employees better or make them apologize when they treat people poorly and that would avoid these kinds of complaints in the future. Thanks but no thanks.

I had a call from a insurance company I stopped using at the end of the year. We did our year end audits as we have each year and we were given confirmation of that by The Hartford. Almost a year later, a company called Brown & Joseph not knowing who to speak to, calls and demands payment from audits we didn't do. I state we did the audits and have confirmation in front of me. She says she knows for a fact I didn't because then the company would not of gotten it. I have the confirmation. She says I don't even when I offer to send them. I get yelled at again and say the information you're saying is false because it is in front of me. She could not explain the debt and only said she knows we didn't do our audits and would keep saying that it's a fact when I asked how she knows. I get yelled at more and then I asked to speak to a partner at the law firm she said she is from. I got yelled at again and hung up on. You call and it goes to voice mail even with the main number. They lied about me not doing audits to try to get money out of me with out proof or the ability to explain it when we have confirmation we did our year end insurance audits.Business response

We previously had Country Companies (AKA ****************** as our insurance provider. Due to continued issues we changed providers. CC processed our accounts and issued us refunds for over payment. 3 months latter they sent us a **** for a large amount. When we asked for proof of how we owe what they claim we owe. But they refused and sent our account to Brown & Joseph collections less then 30 days after receiving the ****. I informed ***** from Brown & Joseph this balance was being disputed. I have sent her emails showing it was infact in dispute. She has continued to harass us. Just like CC she has changed the balance due multiple times. I have since filled a complaint with the **** of insurance and the case is currently under review. I have told ***** this yet she called me a liar and threatened me verbally on multiple occasions. We pay all our bills on time this **** we do not believe we owe thats why it is being disputed. ***** from Brown & Joseph is not allowing the dispute to happen as it should. I want our account removed form Brown & Josephs until the I llinois Department of insurance has time to review the case and come to a decision.Business response

I sent them a Cease and Desist Notice on February 3, 2022 along with a **** of Particulars that invoiced them for all the violations that they have committed. Pursuant to 15 USC 1692C(C)2 I invoked my specified remedy as a consumer and original creditor and outlined my demands. Within my demands I gave them 10 days to satisfy ALL these demands. BROWN & JOSEPH LLC has willfully failed to comply with the FEDERAL LAWS that are put in place to protect the Consumer.Business response

I had my son call my auto insurance company, Hartford AARP, to cancel my auto insurance. This call was made prior to the insurance expectation date. My son was told that he can not cancel my insurance for me. I then decided to allow the insurance to laps and just not renew it. I am 87 years old and no longer drive. I recently received a letter from Brown & Joseph LLC attempting to collect more money from me. This must be a business scam attempting to collect undue money from elderly people.Business response
