I don't know why there is never a zero-star rating because that's exactly what I would give this location. I have never consistently been subjected to such harassing treatment from any organization ever and this includes management. I would never recommend this store to anyone

When I was at the store I grabbed 2 bottles of wine and went to checkout. I provided temporary driver’s license but the cashier called the “manager” Olivia. Olivia took both, my expired and temp IDs and went to her manager to ask. I was waiting with my son without understanding. Then Olivia came back saying that the temp ID should look blue and not white and black and refused to sell me those wines. I explained that I renewed my ID online and that is what I was provided. She responded in an extremely rude way “Do you think I do not know how temp ID should look like?!” From this moment I understood that I am not being treated equally, most likely because they noticed my “NOT PERFECT” English and thought they can treat me they way they want because the person in front of them is most likely an immigrant. After seeing the expression on her face showing the disgust towards me, I asked the cashier to call the manager hoping to explain that my ID is real.Manager, whose name i don’t remember appeared to be the rudest person. He did not even treat me like a person at all, he approached without greeting and with displeased face expressing even more disgust. I asked him why you cannot sell me the wines, I have my valid temp ID. He said that Olivia did not like your ID and decided so, if she said so, it cannot be discussed and I do not have any right to question it. I asked him maybe you can show the guiding policy, so I can understand the refusal. He said he is not required to show me anything, he is not willing to talk to me and I must leave the store.I said we can call police and they can verify it is true. The store manager showed his anger even more, and yelled that it is a private store and we decide ourselves who we serve who don’t. I asked why are you talking to me like that in front of all shoppers in my neighborhood and in front of my 5 year old son? Is it because you think you can take advantage of me because I’m an immigrant and my not -perfect English? He left.

On July 18, 2024, at approximately 9:43 PM, my uncle and I arrived at the Jewel store located at **************************************************************. We intended to make a purchase before the stores posted closing time of 10:00 PM. Upon arrival, we noticed that both the entrance and exit doors were locked. A few other customers and I waited patiently outside the exit door, and when a customer exited, we attempted to enter. However, we were denied entry by the store's security guard, Grey.I questioned Grey as to why we were being denied entry when the store was not yet closed according to the posted hours. He informed us that the store was now closed, even though it was only 9:45 PM. I requested to speak to a manager for clarification on the store's hours. Manager ****** confirmed that the store had closed early, citing that all Jewel stores close approximately 15 minutes prior to the posted time.During our conversation, a young man identified as LaRobert, who was pushing shopping carts, recklessly pushed a cart into my side and over my foot. I immediately informed Mr. ****** of this incident, but his response was dismissive, stating he could not see my feet. When security attempted to get LaRobert to apologize, he instead used vulgar language, refused to apologize, and told me to "take my a** home."That night, I noticed swelling and pain in my foot as a result of being struck by the cart. On the following day, July 19, 2024, I returned to the same Jewel location at 1:50 PM to speak with store management. I met with ******* ****, the Store Director, and ***** *****, the Front End Manager. I provided them with detailed information regarding the incident, including video and audio evidence. Both Mr. **** and Ms. ***** assured me that I would receive a follow-up call regarding the situation. It's Sept 5th 2024 but no response from corp This incident left me feeling insulted, both physically and emotionally. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and assault in my life.

I work through instacart. I always use self check out when available. I have high anxiety and it's easier for me to take my time and make sure I'm scanning the right items for the right person and bagging properly. Never had an issue until yesterday. I had a shopping order for two people. I used a smaller cart because it's easier to keep things separate but by the end of the shopping trip, things were starting to get mixed. As I said, I suffer from anxiety and I started to get a bit flustered and hot to the point I needed to remove my jacket to proceed. The store was not busy at the time. I make my way into the self checkout area. As I'm approaching a kiosk the employee (****) working in self check out very rudely yells at me that I need to go to a register because I have over 25 items. I try to explain that I'm with instacart and I have two orders, I'd like to use self checkout. She says "I DON'T CARE". At this point I'm baffled by the customer service. I let her know that was very rude and ask to speak to the manger. So she calls ***** over and very quickly tells her side before I can say anything and even admits to saying she doesn't care. I explain my issue to *****. She says there indeed is a 25 item limit for the holidays. Mind you, no other Jewel I've been to has this. I kindly explain to her the same thing.. I'm doing an instacart order for 2. I need to be able to take my time, make sure I have the right items for each order and bag properly. Her response was, "you didn't do that while you were shopping?" I tell her yes I did but towards the end things got mixed up. There is no line. The store isn't busy. Can you make an exception? She says no. There is a 25 item limit. So I ask again to be sure. So you're not willing to accommodate me in any way? She says I can open a lane for you. I say ok thank you. I was very overwhelmed, very flustered. I never once was rude or raised my voice. I don't appreciate the customer service. I will be avoiding this location.

They do not honor their sale items. When contacting corporate, I am told the manager will call me back. After two bad incidents, the management never responded.TERRIBLE customer service. With a minor, exception employees are rude, unfriendly, and not there to help people.

Absolute worst customer service and was not helpful at all. I entered a wrong number in the beginning and had to pay without using any of my clipped coupons. The customer service lady at the store was beyond rude totally unfriendly and beyond unhelpful. I typically spend **** a month here with any coupons I can use and all I was told was that they can refund my total and I have to wait in line basically to be rerang out under the correct phone number to get the coupons I clipped because I couldn't name the many clipped coupons. I just can't believe how abrasive the customer service lady was everyone else was much better and of course there was only one register open and a line so going back through the line would have taken at least a hour because everything would have to be untagged and rescanned.. honestly considering going somewhere else from now on
