      I bought 2 pairs of glasses from them and I informed them that I was unable to see clearly and they were not the right size. They refuse to do anything to help me and simply said I would just need to get used to them. This has been going on for 3 weeks and I still do not have glasses that I can see out of.

      The patient has 2 pairs of glasses one self pay and one through state insurance. If both pairs have issues we can have her see the doctor again to see what changes to her RX if any need to be made. This follow up is at no charge. Any changes the doctor makes we will remake them with the new RX at no charge. this is standard policy.  As far as the fit I can approve for a restyle.    I will be contacting the patient to inform her of this.

      Daughter and I went for annual eye exams. Upon checkout I had my insurance member handbook in hand stating coverages were covered by insurance but gave up with blonde insisting I needed to pay for exam and they didn’t know if insurance would pay for my daughters glasses but informed me that they had a “sale” going on. Went back two weeks to get a printout proof of eye exam for my daughter to take to school and the rude woman says we don’t have a eye exam in our system for your daughter after we just had appointments two weeks earlier. She says she will have to “track down” eye doctor to see why. I had to ask if they were going to call me so I could get a copy of proof of eye exam for my daughter. The most unprofessional office I have ever been to let alone rude people.

      It appears there was a lack of communication on our part. The patients insurance covers the primary exam which was billed and paid for.  The contact lens coverage is more complicated and the patient would need to talk to our billing department because there are options as how to use the benefits. The patient is welcome to call our billing department at **** ******** and ask for *** in the billing department. If she would prefer we are happy to reach out to her. 

      Usually when the school is requesting a proof of eye exam from the provider, it is on a specific form which is only completed when the patient request it.  It was not that we the office didn't see and exam, they did not see a school exam form.  That form has since been completed and the patient's mother has been contacted to pick it up.

      When it comes to insurance, we always say we cannot guarantee coverage due to the fact that the patient may have used all or part of the benefits elsewhere in a time span covered by insurance. 

      I hope this is helpful and that the patient will reach out to our billing department to clarify benefits for contacts and exams. I apologize for any inconvenience.

      My son and I received our yearly exams this year. I was very specific about want I wanted and did not want. I paid out of pocket for extra costs, as I do each year. My sons came in first and were fine. When I received mine, nothing was right. I ordered no line in my lenses for my bifocals. The glasses I received were ridiculous! I couldn't even see through them with the obvious line. Everything is blurry half way down. I was pretty much told that I was out of luck bc my insurance doesn't pay for a no line bifocal and had to buy a brand new pair. I reminded her that I asked for no line and was willing to pay at the time of purchase. I will never take my son or I back there! I have waisted money and time. I will go elsewhere for my next exams and purchases. They obviously pushed us out the door ignoring my requests at the time of purchase and then didn't not care at all about my issues with my glasses.

      I had a eye exam done back in 2015. At that time I was cash pay. I was given a eye drop that cost over $200. When I went to check out I was told I owed much more than I expected. When I questioned the bill I was then told I had this expense of $200! I was in shock I immediately spoke to the doctor who seemed to be in charge. He says i did not need the eye drop and that someone should have told me that it would cost that amount but I dont need the eye drops! It seemed to be resolved I left after paying for my exams. Later I get a bill and i immediately call the billing office explaining I should not have to pay for something I never asked for or informed about. Even explaining if I knew it was a test that I needed I would make arrangements ahead of time to have the $200.I have been coming to this eye doctor ********** location for many years. I would never not pay what I owe. Fast forward to today 9/21/2022. I have been to the ********** eye center prior to today. Then I was hit with you have a balence which was from the old visitor that billing told me it was corrected. I didnt think that doctor and billing department would not document what we spoke about. Now Im being told I have to pay have just to see the doctor today? No one even cared!

      In response to ************** complaint.  I have investigated and found ************** is correct that she had spoken to the billing manager in 2015 and this should have been resolved. The balance was adjusted on the ledger but the alert failed to be deleted. I have since deleted this alert and notified the Carbondale manager of our mistake.  She will be contacting the patient to apologize and will be happy to reschedule her appointment if she would like to do so. 

      I do deeply apologize for this oversight, and hope that ************** will accept our apology.
